I used My Window Solutions to replace the 4 windows and sliding glass door in my condo and was extremely pleased each step of the process. I checked with 4 different window replacement companies and got two different quotes. I decided to go with them because they were responsive, professional, presentable, and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable having them in my home to complete the install - which is a lot more than I can say about some of the other people I spoke with. The sales person, Chuck, was very accommodating in scheduling a time to come over to my place to give an estimate. He even came out on a Saturday morning to take measurements and show me a few different options. He was not trying to pressure me into making a decision or signing a contract and I felt very comfortable with this part of the process. Once I decided to move forward, the contract and the pricing was very straightforward - no hidden fees. The prices quoted included the windows & door, installation/seal, disposal of the old windows & door, clean up, and screens - exactly what I was looking for. It took about 5 weeks to get the windows custom made, but this included a 10 day closure from the manufacturer for the holidays. I felt that this was very reasonable given the size of the windows and that they were custom made. My replacements also had to be painted to match the Condo's HOA requirement that all windows and doors match. The installation took one 6-7 hour day with a team of 3 guys. They were a well-oiled machine, each person knowing what they had to do and all doing it simultaneously. There was no standing around or watching; they were extremely efficient. They even had to hang out of my third story windows to seal the new windows. They couldn't use a ladder because I have a pool directly under all of the windows on the back side of my place. But they got it done no problem. The finished product had me grinning from ear to ear. They took out my old original 1980s aluminum windows and put in beautiful vinyl windows. The new windows block a lot more noise, let a ton of light in while blocking the heat of the sun, form a perfect seal that blocks wind and dust from creeping in, and got rid of the annoying rattling that I use to have to put up with when the wind blew against the old windows. I even already notice that I am using the heater and the air conditioning less than I was just a few short weeks ago. They were very honest and did not try to up sell me on anything I didn't need. They gave me three different price options so I could see the difference, and have a great show room in Newbury Park where you can try out the windows yourself. We found My Window Solutions on Yelp and scheduled a consult based on the positive reviews. So glad we did! I met with 4 other window companies and Mike was by far the most knowledgeable and helpful. Our windows were installed yesterday and I am obsessed. Our old windows were the original windows that came with our 1986 home, and I never realized how cold our house was because of the poor windows. This winter, our heater ran on average 12 hours a day to keep our baby and toddler semi warm at 68 degrees. Since the windows have been in, the heater has only run 10 minutes and the thermostat has been at a comfortable 73 degrees. I know it sounds funny to be excited about, but let me tell you, I never thought new windows would also make us more comfortable, not just make our house prettier! And My Window Solutions is so much better priced with better options than the other companies out there. And they finished installing ahead of schedule! We are really, really impressed. Our home looks like it got a facelift after My Window Solutions' work. Wonderful communication and service from everyone there. We decided to change all 18 windows in our home. Chuck was knowledgeable and very helpful with helping us choose the best window for our home. Also was great with letting us know if certain window locations required to meet city code. My Window Solutions is AMAZING! I don't know when I've last been so impressed by a company. They came highly recommended by my neighbors and I was not disappointed. From the beginning with the no pressure quote that really was NO PRESSURE! When they showed up to install our windows they started with the prep work and I was already impressed. They put down plastic tape on all the walkways to protect the carpet and the floor (see pictures). They covered everything to protect it from the dust and they vacuumed up when they were done. The workers were so courteous and polite. The windows themselves have been AMAZING!!! I was worries my expectations were too high, but not at all. They reduce the sound dramatically and so much of the draftiness I could feel before is totally gone! I didn't realize it was coming from my windows!! I am in love! This review is a bit overdue and I will admit I am a terrible yelper in that I always think about leaving reviews and then don't. But the service received from Parry and his team definitely warrants a glowing review. We were looking to replace three windows in our home and went to yelp to find potential businesses to do this. Parry was prompt in scheduling an appointment to come see our windows and provided us with a detailed quote and multiple options very soon after his visit. He was thoughtful in his recommendations and did not try to sell his most expensive product line. The recommendations made seemed appropriate to our needs which felt personalized. After receiving the quote, We were pleased with Parry and wanted to offer him our business, but had received a lower quote elsewhere. I contacted him to see if you would be able to do anything comparable with some of his windows, and he was accommodating and willing to work with us. His schedulers were quick to contact us for an appointment and easy to work with. The installers were professional and the finished product was as expected. A few days after the windows were installed, we noticed what appeared to be a small flaw on one of the windows. I contacted Parry about this and received an almost immediate response letting me know that this would be taken care of. I used My Window Solutions to put in 7 new nail-in windows to replace some old windows that had blown seals. I worked with Parry Annis and he is awesome, and so is the rest of his crew. Everyone was super efficient and they did a terrific job. There was a very small imperfection in one of the big windows that was installed and the installer called that out, and facilitated the interaction with Milgard to replace it. They even came back out and installed it when Milgard said the window was too large for them to replace. Overall a very good experience with Parry and MWS. He was very helpful and very patient answering my TONS of questions about the windows and design. He also put up with several design changes/revisions I made along the way. In general, a very professional, knowledgable, and great guy to work with. Got Simonton DaylightMax windows, and they look great (not installed yet, will be soon). Only reason they are not getting 5 stars was that things didn't go as wonderfully when it came time to make the appt / get bid for the install labor. I won't state the price here, but suffice it to say that the quoted price for install labor was significantly more than I was expecting. Also, it worked out to about $120/man hour of labor charged for the work, when I am sure these workers aren't getting much over 20 bucks per hour. I would have loved to use MWS for the install, but not with exorbitant labor rates - found another experienced install crew for about half the labor cost. Maybe it's just me, b/c obviously lots of people are using their install services, they were booked up weeks in advance for the installation. It's amazing what some contractors charge for labor here in LA and the range you see, I have seen everything from stucco guys, to carpenters, to window installers charging the gamut from $35/hour for their labor to $120+/hour for labor, as I was quote from MWS. If the install price had been what I consider to be fair, then the experience would have been 5 stars plus plus. With the small negative about the install cost excepted, I am still pleased overall with my experience with MWS and Parry. read more

Talk about standing behind your product! This is a review of two wonderful companies: Westlake Window & Doors and its successor company, Window Solutions. In 2003, I bought all new windows and sliding doors from Westlake Windows & Doors. Recently I looked them up because I needed a new handle for the slider. Westlake Windows had closed because the owner, Bill, retired. They still have their website which refers their prior customers to Window Solutions. Donna of Window Solutions told me they kept the records on flash drives; she immediately located my old purchase order and put Vernon on my case. Vernon Doornbos of Window Solutions showed up the next day with the entire two-handle/lock unit, free since Simonton has a lifetime warranty. He asked "anything else need replacement?" I said I have a cracked window but didn't think they'd cover that. "Absolutely," he said and wrote an order for that and a replacement screen. These guys were great. They had a guy out to my house the day after I phoned. He showed me samples of different windows and talked about them all in details. There was no pressure to buy one particular window over another. He gave me a ball park price on the spot after measuring up. The official quote came in the next day and was almost exactly the same as the ball park quote. I decided to go with Window Solutions, the other quotes I got were comparable but I just got a good business vibe from these guys. They turned up on time and installed the windows quickly and cleaned up after themselves and kept dust in the house to an absolute minimum. One window was damaged when the took it out of the packaging, they sent it back and returned 10 days later to install the replacement. They gave realistic expectations and then delivered on them, I wasn't hassled by them for money before the job was finished and all the staff were polite and respectful. The staff removed all the window blinds and all of the security sensors and replaced them all perfectly after each window was finished. The windows look great and I couldn't be happier. I will be using them again when I replace the last few windows next year. Having just had a small remodel I couldn't be happier with them, they gave me the best work and the least amount of drama of all the contractors I used. The two that came out provided estimates on the spot and would give a discount if I signed that date. That's a big red flag in my book. After looking into Yelp I found Window Solutions and read their reviews. Parry came out and provided me an estimate in two days detailing the least expensive, mid range and high end. I felt the estimate was fair and signed on. His bid was also lower than the other two using the same type of windows. His crew is professional, clean and courteous. Put off replacing my old patio door because I couldn't face the mess and disruption. Then I found these guys-- what a treasure! Pros: New door is a custom-sized job, perfect fit, elegant-looking and well-made. Cost was very reasonable. Insulating factor is substantial-- drafts have been completely eliminated. Replaced the molding with an exact match to other molding in the house, even suggested a slightly wider version to balance the expanse of the door, which worked perfectly. Extra Credit: Amazing professional-plus installation. Crew covered everything in the room before they started so no dust anywhere; even put down floor protection. Flawless teamwork-- door was in and finished to a T in nothing flat; old door gone and patio swept off. Great job. Cons: Can't think of any. This company is great. read more
