My biggest disappointment was how quickly the ice started melting. Personally, I love shave ice that's finely shaved until it's soft and fluffy, almost like snow. Unfortunately, the texture here was noticeably crunchier than what I prefer. Because I ordered a large, the ice began melting before I could really enjoy the entire dessert. I felt like I had to hurry to finish it instead of taking my time and enjoying every bite. Another thing I noticed was that the mochi didn't arrive together with my shave ice. It was brought out separately a little later. I appreciated that it was freshly made, but I would have preferred having everything served together.
