My honey and I hired fine time shave ice in lieu of a fancy cake at our wedding two weekends ago and we could not have been more pleased with our choice! Jana was incredibly responsive via email when booking, and we were pleased with how easy it reach her leading up to our big day. 2 hours of service came with 12 different syrup flavors, mochi balls, ice cream and azuki beans. This was such a great treat for our locals and out of town guests, and perfect for the hot evening, especially when the dancing started! We would love to hire them again for our next party!! read more

What a cool concept.. Was very fortunate enough to have a taste of Shave Ice by Fine Time Shave Ice at the event for First Hawaiian Bank at the Diamond Head Theater to celebrate "Frozen" the musical. It's fitting to have a shave ice station as the line was the longest filled with mostly the big kids all wanting to nab that cool treat and they're just amazing as Olaf would've been so proud to have this in the Summertime with the flurries of ice that can be made in so many ways with a dozen flavors including Green River, POG and yup Matcha but this is to celebrate frozen so we got a scoop of premium vanilla ice cream and Ramune giving it that cool light blue color along with a stick of Shiratama Mochi Balls this indeed had to be the coolest treat in town. They did have a Specialty Flavor of "Sven's Snow Cone" which was Ramune and POG topped with Condensed milk, glitter and sprinkles...gah! Love me sprinkles and glitter and never imagine a top of a snow cone though I didn't get it I know it had to be magical. Wonderful staff worked perfectly well under pressure and got everyone their shave ice before the show started with the flair and made it a night to remember. Thank you! read more

We were lucky enough to have Fine Time at our wedding and everything about the service was top notch, from their communication to the customization of signs and flavors to the presentation on the day of the event. Our guests loved the flavor options and everything was delicious; it made for the perfect treat on a warm evening. We would absolutely work with them again - we might have to get remarried just so we can. One of the best decisions we made! read more

So yummy. My boys and I had to go back twice! Don't pass it up and enjoy as many flavors as possible. The condensed milk is a bonus!

Years and years ago, I helped coach a girls soccer team (The Blazers!). Lost touch with the coach and players til I got a message from Megan S. asking if I had coached her team. She said she was still best friends with the coaches daughter Jana P. and connected us! LOVE IT!! And how cool is it that they have been best friends since elementary school?! Oh wait, this is supposed to be a food and business review. I am getting to it! Jana has a shave ice business called Island's Finest Shave Ice that caters to parties, weddings and most kinds of gatherings. We needed to hire a shave ice person for our Grad Fest so we booked them! Very professional. Great communication. Reasonable price. They make the shave ice fast so no long lines. The ice is fine. Jana brought 15 flavors (check out the menu board in photos) and ice cream, snow cap, and li hing powder. Students were very happy. Great job Jana! So if anyone wants to have shave ice at their event or gathering, I highly recommend Jana and Island's Finest Shave Ice! read more

We had a destination wedding in Hawaii and knew that we wanted to incorporate Hawaiian style foods. We asked our coordinator Tessa to recommend some shave ice vendors to us and Fine Time Shave Ice was basically the only one she recommended! We are super picky about the quality of the shave ice and Jana was so gracious to be able to host a sample tasting for us. She literally let us try every flavor there was (and there were so many! They were all so good). It was so hard to narrow it down to 9 flavors. Their shave ice is also so fluffy and perfectly sized. We had such a great time working with Jana and her team. We were able to get really cute custom cups with floral designs on them. They also brought tops of toppings. The guests loved that we had signature shave ice's so they wouldn't have to think about which flavors to chose. Jana also had created a menu for us which was one less thing off our plate! We would highly recommend working with Fine Time Shave Ice :) read more

We hired Fine Time to provide shave ice for our baby's first birthday and we were so happy with their service! Jana was so nice and super easy to communicate with over email. She let us pick our flavors and loved that she personalized the menu decorations to the theme of the party. The shave ice was fantastic - such ono flavors and everyone was impressed with the quality of the toppings like the mochi and azuki. Our guests (especially the keiki) loved it! Highly recommend them for a fun addition to any party! read more

Excellent shave ice business. From inquiring to their availability, choosing the flavors and overall communications, Fine Time Shave Ice provides outstanding service. Back when I was playing baseball a shave ice truck stopped at Mililani district park. I remember the truck being called Island's finest shave ice ( don't know if the business was renamed) but the shave ice was really good. There was a variety of flavors and on a hot day it felt really good. The only reasons why I remember this place is because of a sticker that I got from them. I really liked this shave ice do I feel like it deserves 5 stars (based on my memory) read more

Had this shave ice truck come by during a work event. Lots of awesome flavors, the ice was nice and soft, and to top it off a friendly vendor! I love the concept and will hope to use them if I ever need a shave ice truck! read more

We had a great experience working with Jana and team for our wedding! Highly recommend them if you are considering shave ice or looking for something sweet for your guests They were incredibly helpful and flexible through our reschedule, and made everything super easy - they bring everything, and our guests could just enjoy! We are so happy to have chosen Island's Finest Shave Ice as one of our wedding vendors. They were very easy to work with and able to accommodate our wedding party of 150 guests in two hours. All of our wedding guest (including the locals) loved it & said it was one of the best shaved ice they've had. Thank you so much for being part of our special day! read more

I've been wanting to try the shave ice from here but just never seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Luckily, they were in my neighborhood today for First Friday at Mililani High School. It's been sooo hot and humid lately and this shave ice just hit the spot! So refreshing! I got shave ice with ice cream and for my flavors...strawberry, lilikoi, and guava. The ice was fine/powdery and the flavors were not too sweet! The best part is when you get to the bottom and there's that perfect amount of ice cream melted with the flavored shave ice!! The cost is $5 and that includes 3 flavors with options for ice cream at the bottom and a variety of toppings (li hing powder, pop rocks, condensed milk, etc). They have a lot of flavor options which include natural and sugar free. Fast, friendly customer service!! I highly recommend them! read more

We hired Island's Finest Shave Ice for my son's first birthday party and received so many compliments on how delicious the shave ice was! We did the 2-hour unlimited package and it was perfect for our 150 guests, some people even went back for seconds (or thirds!). The ice is super fine and the syrups are really ono and some are unique (ramune, pumpkin spice, natural yuzu). Island's Finest Shave Ice is the best!!!! read more

Island's Finest Shave Ice, by far the best kiosk at the UH games. Priced right with an assortment of classic and local flavors with all the toppings you could ask for. The ice is very fine and the servings are very generous. It helps that these guys love what they do and provide swift service with tons of Aloha. If you see a big dude his name is Zane, he'll always welcome you with open arms and a huge smile. Island's Finest Shave Ice is a must have when the Bows play at home. I've also seen them at other trade shows so keep an eye out for them @islandsfinestshaveice read more

This review is for the Aloha Stadium kiosk. I stopped by Island's Finest Shave Ice for the first time before the last football game. It's been at the stadium for awhile now (with its enthusiastic LED disco light) but I never thought to try it, even though the temperature has been unbearable at times. It's $5 for a small and only a +$1 upcharge ($6) for a large. That sounds expensive, but you have to remember that these are stadium prices. PLUS, you get three free toppings (i.e. ice cream, condensed milk, li hing powder, etc.), which is super generous. I don't know of any other shave ice places on the island that give free toppings. When you pay through the nose for sub-par food at the rest of the stadium, IFSI stands out as a diamond in the rough. Other stuff: I like that the shave ice is nice and fine, not chunky. They have an impressive assortment of flavors (again, considering this is a kiosk) and they pour a good amount of syrup, so you won't run into plain ice patches. The staff is super friendly. I would say that they bring the ALOHA to Aloha Stadium ;) read more

Island's Finest is the finest mobile shave ice in all of Oahu! They don't cut corners with their shave ice, they actually lug the huge industrial shave ice machine to all of their events. So, you know it's legit. No wonder their shave ice is so "fine." Let's talk toppings. Who can argue with a flat rate shave ice price, toppings included? Yass queens. One small Melona Li Hing with Popping Mango/Lychee Boba and Snowcap PLEASE! Island's Finest has done many of my family and friends' events and it's a hit, everytime. The owners are friendly & professional. When I see them at the First Friday's and other events, I just have to stop by to get my fix. Thanks for being all around, Island's Finest Shave Ice. See you at the next event! read more

So when I experienced my first time as a customer of this business, I was at a fair. Waiting in line was really bad service! Though my friend and I would be expecting to buy "finest shave ice," we did not. The workers at the event were skipping us and serving other customers in line who were in the back of us. The man was just looking at my friend and I as if we were just freeloader. But we were waiting in line. Waiting for about 10 minutes, until another customer was assuming that we were cutting in line. So we left. At first, lines were bunched up. No lines. Just free sided. Not only that, but they basically gave a free shaved ice to someone who was short on money, YET NOT SERVING A CUSTOMER WITH MONEY TO BUY THE SHAVE ICE! We only ended up buying cotton candy, which was a total mess. Not my cup of tea, but if you insist into buying from this kiosk, go Ahead. Not expecting more from any kiosk like that again read more
