I have been consigning there for years. Mainly Mackenzie Childs. The staff is generally informed and helpful. Payment immediate. It's a tough business and anyone consigning needs to understand the business model. I prefer this place over all others. The display area could use a little TLC and better space utilization. read more

Sales people are very unhelpful and sort of rude I was hoping for a different experience, but now looking at their reviews, it makes sense why I have the experience that other people had read more

They said they were interested in a dining table we had and wanted us to bring it in at our earliest convenience because they "had the perfect place for it". We had two people move the table for us and bring it there. When we arrived the workers acted extremely offended that we brought the table in, said they had no place to put it, and told us to leave. Extremely unprofessional and rude workers, and clearly the selling process needs some improvement as we were told to bring it "ASAP" in the first place. read more

I normally don't make these reviews but I tried to take a rose/ blush colored rolling chair with gold hardware. I walked in and said hello and an older woman just looked at me and say "no". I was a bit confused at her blunt statement without even greeting me. I asked why and she said there's no way they could take my chair because it would never sell. I asked if they would just take it and see if it sells and she said no because "the color would never sell". I walked out disappointed in the lack of professionalism and respect to customers. On my way out I saw neon green chairs for sale in the front.. very disappointed in this saleswoman's behavior towards me. read more

Do not use this shop for your consignment piece. I left a 20x36 painting that I paid $125 dollars for. They told me they sold it for $38 dollars. They would never have sold it for $38. Be careful in here! Staff will be rude, condescending, and out right cruel. I asked if I could keep my bag of purchases at the counter while my friend finishes up her shopping. Once my friend was done, I reached for my bag and the clerk said that transaction had timed out. I guess the clerk hadn't finished his part of the transaction for some reason yet, by all appearances, there was no reason to think it wasn't complete. The bottom line was why the transaction wasn't completed and could someone please explain. The manager came over, told me I was rude and asked me to leave. I told the original clerk I'd start over with the transaction if the manager could walk away. The female manager said she wasn't go anywhere but that I was. I was forced to leave the store without my purchases simply because I wanted an explanation of what happened. This female manager was over the top rude, insensitive, and a heartless individual impervious to the customer's needs. As a side note, my friend, who lives seven states away got home to find her expensive Tommy Was shirt still having the anti-theft tag attached and will not be able to wear it. read more

What a jewel in the city. Truly a treasure hunt, each and every time I go. One of my favorite places to trip around. You never know what you might find, need or have to have! Very cool place but a little expensive

If I lived in town, this store would be tempting. The tempting things for me were the furniture, I found some outdoor furniture I really liked and a really funky purple couch. But I was looking for more things to put up on my walls in my living room, little knickknacks that I could stash in my suitcase for the flight home. They had more big gilded mirrors, large paintings, lots of very breakable vases and glasses and dishes. read more

I went in there tonight to just take a look around and gather some inspo for my apartment as I recently decided to start decorating and I was already at Trader Joe's so I thought why not look around. As I looked around for the very few minutes I was inside the store, one of the sales women (I'm guessing even though she never asked if we needed help finding something or anything of the sort), followed me around watching me like a hawk wherever I went in the store. I'm assuming that she thought maybe I was going to steal something by the way she was watching my every move (as if my 120 lbs scrawny self could even lift anything in there). As I left she gave a very condescending goodbye which was very much not appreciated. I feel as if this was racial profiling as I am a young woman of color and this woman was given no other reason to assume I was going to try and take something from the store. Now if she maybe would have asked if we needed help or if we were looking for a specific style of design, there wouldn't have been any issue but no. All she gave was a short and not so sweet hi when I came in and bye when I left. I have worked in retail before and I am very much aware of how management/coworkers act when they believe someone is shoplifting. This was so incredibly disrespectful and I will absolutely not be back. If this sales woman ever sees this, take your racial profiling and create a Time Machine so you can go back to the 1950s, your prejudice opinion is not welcome in this day and age. read more

Attempting to consign items is ridiculous and a waste of time. Over the past 3 years, I have brought in high quality, current on trend items that met the stores minimum value and age criteria, only to have the person at the desk, in a very snooty way say they would take a pass on the items. When I look at many of the items in the store, it is clear what they advertise as their consignment criteria, is not consistent with what they take in on consignment. I will never bring another item to My Sister's Attic to consign. read more

They want to run an exclusive store with items they feel are exclusive. We have taken in very exclusive clothing like Ralph Lauren, coach, Tommy Bahamas, Michael kors, I could go on and was not good enough for them. They want almost new stuff which is not what a second hand store ( yes I said it) is all about. Will never shop there or take in for consignment. Rip Off. I just took a 300.00 purse and donated to a women's shelter. Rather give the stuff to people who need it rather than consign to a greedy place. NEVER GO THERE!!!! read more

The worst customer service. Brought in 12/11/21 Denby stoneware for consignment. I called every 2 weeks to see if it the stoneware had sold. On 2/26 I called and was told there is a 60 policy that if the items don't sell, they are donated. I said I wasn't aware of this policy. Repeatedly, I was told by Keir "I can't believe you were not told this", insinuating I was lying. I asked to check if the stoneware was still in the the store and after he checked he said "yes". I went in on 2/27 to retrieve my stoneware. I was waiting in line next to Keir carrying on a personal conversation for several minutes ignoring me and other customers. A young man behind the desk came forward with a smile and asked if he could help me. Keir at that point, said "I can help her". I told him I came to retrieve my stoneware, I told him I felt insulted by his comments "I can't believe you weren't told that". He did not respond or utter any word to me during the entire transaction. He could have cared less about retaining me as a customer. read more

Really disappointed in the way I was treated. Buyers beware! I was in the store on Saturday and saw a bench that had just arrived and wasn't priced yet. I asked if I could purchase it. I was told they could take my name and number and call me with a price. They texted me with a price this morning and I immediately texted back that I wanted it and could pay for it and pick up tomorrow. I also left 2 voicemails. When I finally got someone to answer the phone 6 hours later I was told the bench was sold. Then the manager proceeded to tell me things were to be put on the floor as soon as they were priced and condescendingly told me "There is nothing I can do about it now, it is sold" Extremely poor customer service. read more

My Sister's Attic - Bar area - Furniture Stores Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

6 weeks ago I consigned a desk at My Sister's attic. They did not make an effort to display it properly. It was a compact desk and should have been opened for viewing. Otherwise it just looked like a cabinet. Because it did not sell in 6 weeks I went back to pick it up. It was placed in an area that was not open to normal foot traffic through the store. In fact, I walked through the whole store and could not find it. I had to ask where it was. This desk was in my guest room and had a covering across the top. It was in 'like new' condition. When they brought it out to me, it had gouges and scratches across the top. I said "OMG what happened?" They replied that was the way it came in. Then he tried to patch it up with some kind of paint. Not only did they not try to sell the desk, they damaged it. I won't trust them with my belongings again. read more

Someone needs to remind the employees who work for My Sister's Attic and My Sister's Closet at Lincoln that they're being paid to be friendly and helpful, not to avoid eye contact, cut you off while moving furniture, etc around the showroom, and generally act annoyed that you're there at all! I really don't like leaving negative reviews, but this has been an ongoing problem for many years, and frankly is becoming such a turn-off, that I am hesitant to keep shopping their stores. It's sad too, because MSA and MSC have been my go-to's since the mid 90's for great brands at good prices. I am a 20+ year consigner with these stores and usually don't even get a "hello", let alone a smile. It's a completely negative, unfriendly, unhelpful vibe. Not the vibe I would think as a business owner that you'd want your employees giving off. read more

BEWARE: their drivers can deny items already agreed to on arrival for pick-up, which is not something they inform you of beforehand. My denial seemed to magically happen after I asked them to wear masks in my home, but now waiting on my refund for the pick-up charge. Very disappointing experience. With so many furniture consignment choices in the area you may want to explore others first, but if you do go here send lots and lots pictures , and then some more pictures, so maybe you're less likely to waste your time. (Again remember no guarantees, it's the call of the pick-up folks). read more

First thing I walked into My Sister's Attic and was warmly greeted with a smile and hello from the staff which make me feel very welcome. I walked around for a bit and found many amazing items I was interested in but I was just there to look and see what the store was about so I didn't buy anything. The staff took the time to see if I needed anything and if I had any questions but I am a talker so I chit chatted with Billy and he was a joy to talk to. I was also interested in consignment so I walked to the back counter and talked to the manager Brie who gave me all the information I needed to know. She was very clear with her explanations and answered all the questions I had. This store is extremely well managed and I can't wait to go back. I will definitely be doing business here in the future in both buying furniture and selling my items. read more

Billy is THE BEST. I have called a few times to buy things, he is always so helpful and helped load my items into my car when I had my baby with me so I didn't have to go inside. He has helped us multiple times and it makes such a great and easy experience shopping the store. read more

"Why wasn't this called My Parent's Attic?" Although this is a consignment furniture store, this store left me hanging. After venturing into My Sister's Closet and Well Suited and finding bargains there, I was expecting to find the same type of selection of brand name furniture, however what I found to be was a more antique shopping experience. There are some nice quality items, but perhaps my experience have always been okay. That being said, I never miss a chance to come in to pass the time since my wife is still shopping at My Sister's Closet. I would suggest to corporate to open a small deli and call it My Sister's pantry or kitchen and then we can get a bite while shopping. Although consigning food items would be frowned upon. It takes multiple calls & emails to get your $. Then they send you a paper check - who writes checks?? I am so annoyed with this place. We bought a fabric headboard and frame from them and specifically asked the question if a box spring would fit in it. We were told several times yes. Of course we got it home and the box spring does not work in the frame. I called them to see if they would at least help us by allowing us to get what we put in back. Arturo, the manager there said no. He actually told me there are different size box springs that would have fit. I walked in having just a few minutes to check things out while the other members of my group were doing a quick stop at Trader Joes - well, I'm glad I walked in.......I found some amazing geodes that made their way back to Seattle - the staff was great (and the wrapping was wonderful (even though TSA needed to unwrap - and when they saw the geode on the stand - they wanted one of their own). Wow. I expected more from these guys. I had only heard good things but I will never consign with them again: here's why- After picking up my two piece sectional (in great condition, less than a year old) and another sofa couch, great condition as well.. I received an email from the manager telling me that due to small marks on the back of one of the sectional pieces, they may not be able to sell the couch and that they would just donate it. Absolutely not! I will take it back before you just donate it. Once I saw it on their site and that they sold it for $895 I went in to receive my 45% cash value which then come to find out they sold it for $495, NOT $895. Such a rip off so for two piece sectional and couch I got $330 cash when I could have probably got $1000 for all them anywhere else. Never ever again. Rip off crooks. read more

Having only lived here since August '08, I wasn't one to go out and furnish my apartment in one day or even one weekend cuz it's not my style to come home to a completely ikea'd house - which is why I come here every couple of weeks. I really like all the funky furniature and I have found lots of classic pieces for really decent prices. If you can go there semi-regularly you could score some major furniture finds (still regretting that I didn't buy this pair of red chairs cuz I'll never find those again!). There is course some junk thrown in the mix, but that is the appeal of consignment shopping. I really dig their decorative collection as well - place settings, vases, platters, lamps, etc... The staff has always been friendly and helpful versus the Scottsdale location in which I've never been greeted or spoken to, not that I expect a best friend out my shopping experience. Definitely worth a quick peruse if you're in the neighborhood, you never know what you'll find! read more

Having recently furnished a new home, I love and hate this place at the same time...I hate it because I didn't discover it sooner!
