My son's first time on a horse was there. Lunch for a friend's birthday on the little island was there and any time I want to feel close to earth and nature I ask the owner Chris if I can stop by. It is truly beautiful. The horses just add a little magical touch to the farm. It is also the perfect place for a wedding. If I were getting married it would be here at Fair Winds Farm. There is an amazing photographer Betty Bryant who can capture people and animals beautifully. As I said it's one of my favorite places in the area.

They had a real great time and had the opportunity to help prepare / groom the horses before the ride. We spent just a little over two hours and enjoyed every minute of it my daughter who is six is still talking about it. Outstanding job to the staff thank you very much.

The reason for the visit here that day was to celebrate my nephew's birthday. Many of his friends were there too. The storefront for the business is similar to how many other places are, but you can definitely see the big Ninja Warrior sign across the windows on the outside. After coming inside, there was a table area for everyone to sit. However, at that time, it was playtime for the kids. They were running through an obstacle course to try and beat their prior timed attempts. They were at this for quite a while, and it was fun to watch them try, especially after doing it awhile as you could tell they were getting tired out. I'd call that part mission accomplished. Once the obstacle course time was done, everyone came back to the table to celebrate my nephew's birthday. The staff were getting the next event set up during that time. Everyone had a great time with the cake. The second part of the play here involved the kids vs. adults. The lights were turned off, and it was basically like a Nerf War between them. I didn't do that part of it, but I did watch it all unfold. The kids were very quick to get the adults. There are several hiding areas to avoid getting caught or to sneak attack with the Nerf gun. There were also some mini snowballs you could throw around too. Once that part was done and the lights were back on, you could see everyone was tired out. Overall, this was a great place to have a birthday party. The staff were welcoming, and they were patient with the kids too. The atmosphere in here was tuned to the level of fun. They also have weekly summer camps and other offerings as well. There seems to be something for everyone here. If you are looking for a place to go for a birthday party or some other type of event, be sure to check this place out.

I really appreciate the coach's responses to the kids and ability to create respect in the gym/dojo as well as make it really fun for them. The social distance guidelines are being followed there are signs posted on the door and there's hand sanitizer as soon as you walk in. They always have the best selections of clothing for men. The men's section takes up a quarter of the whole store so you shouldn't have a problem finding something that you would like. When I went in there today they had a lot of items on clearance, including shirts, shorts, swimming shorts, and sandals. They also have a really good variety of sunglasses both cheap and expensive. As long as I've been going here, for over 15 years, The employees always go out of their way to help you find something that you want. I have never had any trouble finding help when I needed it.

It was only the second time I had been to this Rec Center. Neither time included activities. The…read morefirst was to check out the walking lanes in the pool. This time was for an event being held in a large meeting room off the lobby. The location is on the portion of Newtown Road where the road turns east & the remainder is called Diamond Springs Road. This portion of the road actually runs between Haygood Road and that split. On the campus of buildings are also two elementary schools. The land, previously a farm, was donated to the city by the Williams Family, There are definite positives & negatives to the indoor pool. It appeared from my viewpoint to be slightly smaller than that of Bayside Rec Center. The walking lanes are fantastic for those who enjoy or need that experience for therapeutic reasons. But it does take away from the pool space for those who go to swim or just splash. There are outside activities that aren't available at Bayside. A large connected & fenced splash area was great for younger kids running through the water on a hot day. It gave the feel of a series of stationary underground sprinklers. I viewed an enclosed skate board ramp. Adjacent to that was something being used that was below ground level. I'm not sure what type of activity was involved. I didn't venture further down the meeting room hall. But the large glass window room in which my event was held was great & very accessible. One big flaw was the lack of handicapped parking spaces. I only saw four & had to park in hinterlands in terrible heat. This Rec Center is a great addition to this part of Bayside. It's walking distance from a lot of condo's & apartments. So kids can get there very easily in the summer. The Williams family's land donation is being put to good use.

The new building supervisor has a different way of handling the center and the problems have subsided. There is only so much we as employees can do when parents aren't responsible enough to raise their children properly and adults who lose their temper like children, but we are doing our best to keep our patrons safe.

I was nervous about the 1:4 ratio, but since they were on the younger end, it was mostly a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio for them. I had visions of them being pulled under a wave and being traumatized by the ocean forever, and it's true they did get hit by the board a few times, but the instructors were so positive that the kids didn't mind much, kind of like how falling is a fact of life when you're learning to walk (but we don't tell kids not to learn to walk). I learned a thing or two too - instead of reaching to a bad wipeout with "Are you ok??", I can try saying "Sick wipeout dude!" :) The one thing I would note is to pay attention to the tides - I think the camps are better at low tide.

There's also a wide range of people and body shapes. It's never usually that busy to where you can't get to the equipment you need. Their classes are included in the monthly fee. They also have a couple different pools, an outdoor water park, putt putt, and tennis courts. They have a sauna and each locker room but it's kind of small. I also wish they had a regular hot tub but they do have a small saltwater pool that is warm. They offer child care and discounts on your monthly fee depending on your financial status and if you're a city or school employee. They also have an outdoor pond that you can walk around when the wheather is nice.
