Fun with a purpose. The checking was very easy and the staff is very gracious, kind, and efficient. I did learn that I needed to bring my water bottles from home instead of paying $3.50 for a drink from the event's snack zone. Parking is free, great and there is a lot of it available. Everyone is friendly. I will play with the children next time we come. It looks like fun to me.

This felt like a ploy to spend more money as we had to wait with five children around arcade games. When it was finally our play time the kids were called back. (There was only one other family waiting to play). Their play time was supposed to be twenty minutes but instead of receiving the whole twenty minutes to play, the prep was rolled in it, as well as debrief. They went in at 2:03 and were walking out at 2:18. Although they had fun it was disappointing to not get all the play time you were told you'd get. There was no one waiting to go in after them so I don't understand why it was so rushed. The person working was kind enough but couldn't answer any of our questions.

They do not allow outside food but their food services are from a Chesapeake vendor small pizzas so plan accordingly you can't re-order anything and you can't bring anything from outside food. No ice so when ordering drinks make sure you ask if you can bring your own.... Our drinks were warm and there is no water fountain. They claim they called to confirm but I didn't want to get into it with the representative as she was rude when addressing the food issue. We made it work. However, when planning a special event you should feel welcomed not like they are in a rush to get you out of there. Their staff should be more welcoming that is what sets a business apart... the experience with the venue and staff was less than pleasant. The food should be more available there are plenty of local vendors or at minimum allow to bring your pizzas and drinks than it's on the customer. Although the kids had fun since they are kids I will not Recommend this venue for a birthday party or any special event.

Although the owner was closing up after a birthday party, he still took the time to show me around and talk to me about his establishment. He takes so much pride in this place, as it is kept up beautifully. I finally got around to bringing my kids here to play, and they had so much fun. They switch the layout around often so the kids can find new ways to play and have fun. There is an area for parents to sit down while you let your kids get their energies out. They also close late in the summer, which is fantastic.

Rock walls, ropes, colorful foam blocks, everything you need to create the perfect fitness gym for kids! The owners are a husband and wife team and are very friendly. The business is new and they were offering the free classes as a way to get their name out there. The owner is really passionate about teaching the kids fitness and even does a kid run every Saturday at a local park. He had my 3 year old doing pull-ups, burpees, and squats! He explained each exercise to the kids and even told them why the exercise was important. They finished off the class by completing an obstacle course. My daughter loved every minute of her class and definitely slept well! She is already asking when she can go back to the "Baby Ninja" class! I would recommend purchasing the grip socks they sell for 1.00. They allow regular socks or barefoot but the kids with the grip socks were able to move through the course more easily than those in regular socks or barefoot. Thank you for creating a space to teach our youth the importance of fitness. We will definitely be back!

One thing missing is an information desk. And if they had one, I never saw it…read more I only did the bowling activity which was fun; there are so many lanes and a VIP room with additional lanes. The cost was per lane vs per person and you pay at the counter in the bowling area. If you're in the military/a vet let them know as you get a DISCOUNT. Not only that, but shoe rental and sock are free, (normally around $3.50 each). Since I didn't go in with intentions to bowl I didn't bring any, but was able to get a free pair since my cousins benefit applied to everyone in the party. The socks are actually cute (to me). It was very busy on a Friday evening and the crowd seemed to be teens and adults. Very few small kids. The servers come to the lanes to take orders, and the tablet at the bowling lane has a button to press for their help. Since it was taking long, we just ordered drinks from the bar nearby. The food, ordered later was simple, but good. -Sunset strawberry sangria is good, but could use more strawberry flavor. - Mozzarella sticks are no different then what you'd get at the grocery store and for the price the amount given isn't enough. - Wings, got a double order, 1/2 sweet chili, 1/2 garlic parmesan. I've often seen the latter on menus and steered clear because it didn't sound appealing. However, since it was ordered (for the group) I figured I'd give it a try. It was Soooooo good that I before I left I placed a to go order. Servers and staff were overall kind, but very busy. Lots of running and trying to take care of everyone. There weren't many smiles, but I imagine they were focused on the task at hand. Anyway, be kind and be patient. If you're staying at a nearby hotel let them know your going to Apex. I did (as I inquired about directions) and was given afree pass for laser tag, which I gave away.

This is an entertainment venue with lots of different activities. From bowling, mini golf, laser…read moretag, arcade games, bumper cars, VR experiences, etc.. I am basing my review on the activities that me and my daughter experienced. There is lots of parking at the event and it is free.. which is great to see.... Walking in, we were shocked at how expensive everything was. You are literally spending $50+ per hour per person. We did the mini golf. The course was very small. 18 holes in the dark with glow in the dark balls. It started out great but when we reached around hole 6 a group of 12-15 teenagers came in and started speed running through the course.. they were hitting their balls all over the place. My daughter and I had to step aside for and let them speed their way through. After that there were a couple of older kids that were hitting their balls very hard and they were flying off the course.. one of those balls almost hit my daughter in the head.. they really need some supervision in the mini golf room. Otherwise somebody is going g to get seriously injured... Next we want to the arcade section. My daughter loved the VR experience items. But at $5+ dollars for 5 mins.... It adds up really fast. They have a little store where you can get prizes in exchange for tickets. But the big problem is that there are very few machines that actually give you tickets when you play them. There were a couple of claw machines that gave you a chance to win 100'or so tickets. But when you need thousands of tickets to buy anything.. you are literally spending a lot of money. Most of the machines were claw based machines where you could win a prize or the coin push machines which are hard to win anything out of. Overall, I was not a big fan of Apex. It is very expensive for what you get.. you can easily spend over $100 per hour in this place to try all the different things. Unless you have a big promo or coupon that gives you a huge discount.... It is not worth the money. The other big issue is that there is very little supervision of all the kids running around. Most of the staff look like they are high school students working a summer job. Like I mentioned earlier, my daughter almost getting hit in the head with a golf ball is unacceptable!!! Highly don't recommend coming here unless you can get a huge discount.

Program: Kid Strong has a curriculum that focuses on various "milestones" weekly. I love how they also not only incorporate physical milestones like jumping, climbing, etc. but also social-emotional milestones such as public speaking, introductions, ordering food at restaurants, etc. As a teacher, I commend the coaches for not only being able to corral the kids but also engaging them in play-based learning. Coaches: Every single coach that has come onto the gym floor has been kind and encouraging to our five year old. When we started, my daughter was very reluctant to get in floor. Be warned, it is very loud at times. There are two open gyms, there is music playing, the sounds of children playing, coaches and parents encouraging .. it's a lot of sensory overload. But week in and week out, the coaches have encouraged my daughter little by little to join in the fun. Now, she is more confident, more willing to try new things and has even become "class captain" on several occasions. Special shout out to coach Lupita! She's been my daughter's coach from the start and the kids all love her!! Awards: KidStrong encourages "leveling up" as you progress through the classes. After each class, coaches recognize students who have accomplished certain milestones in an award ceremony. I love this bc it allows students to feel confidence for themselves but also their peers. It encourages team building and community.
