One of the biggest and most immediate differences is the communication. it is phenomenal. It's basically impossible to miss an update. We get texts, emails, notes on our child's bin... anything that's happening, you're made aware of well in advance. The school's website is also current and easy to navigate, which is a small thing that speaks volumes about how organized and family-focused they are. Since starting here, our son's creativity has absolutely exploded. He actually wants to paint, draw, and do crafts on his own at home now--something he never showed much interest in before. The classroom decor is always changing and full of the children's artwork and faces. It's not just cute, it's intentional--you can see that the teachers are actively improving and refreshing the environment to keep it engaging. And don't even get me started on the pre-K graduation--it was unmatched. So stinking cute. It was one of those moments you don't forget as a parent. The effort and heart that went into it was obvious. No one else does it like this. All of these things--from the day-to-day communication to the big milestone celebrations--show how much the school reinvests into the kids, the staff, and the overall experience. They helped my daughter build her creation. We got so much clay that we were able to build 2-5 creations. They offered a variety of free drinks while we create. It was just so much fun. We had to return another to glaze our art which was at our flexibility. There were so many glazes to choose from too. Then after our art pieces were glazed, we picked up our art all packaged up safely. This place is perfectly located in a nice shopping center. With easy parking. It clean for an art studio. There were so many tools available. The staff are very knowledgeable. It's also decorated very cute inside. My daughter and I can't wait to return. They offer camps, classes, parent drop off nights, memberships, walk-ins and more.

Took my 2 year old granddaughter to open play today and we both enjoyed ourselves…read more Pros: Indoor play with a good combination of physical climbing/ jumping activities and more focused (coloring, blocks, magnatiles, kitchen set, etc.) play spaces. The kind of play that really helps little brains grow. Environment was noticeably cleaner and better cared for then many indoor play parks. They limit how many children can attend each session, reservation required. You only pay for the child. 2 adults per child can attend and "play" for free. Cons: There is no food or drinks allowed in (at least during open play). I listed this as a con only because having a corner where a 2 year old could have a quick snack could help ward off grouchiness so just plan the playtime accordingly. I do appreciate that no food or drink keeps toys and areas much cleaner and less sticky. Only other con is... It was warm in there. Not sure if that's the norm or if the air conditioning couldn't keep up with the heat the kids were generating in there. It was only 69 degrees outside but probably 75 inside. Layers are your friend here. We did open play on Saturday morning. And will probably plan our subsequent trips for weekday mornings when possible because it was more comfortable in there as the crowd thinned out.

It was over for me when she cried during a class over one exercise and on top of things she was sent again in the end of the class to work on the same exercise by herself! It was nice when her husband stepped in and helped her but we never went back after that. I feel like working with the kids you should be able recognize when the child is pushed too far. They are only 6 yo and it all should be combine with a little fun so they want to go back. She didn't and I have a hard time talking her into a new place . We moved and finally she will give it a try. Fingers crossed this time she will have an awesome experience. I was also blown away by our initial tour. The classrooms were so orderly and peaceful, and the children were so happily engaged in their work. We've been with the school for the past four years now, and I've never regretted it once. My son is in Children's House and my daughter is in Lower Elementary. The teachers are all excellent and have allowed my children to make outstanding academic progress, and the overall atmosphere is warm, caring and family-like. I love how much the children learn without a lot of the negative pressure or homework that other schools seem to have. The atmosphere is also very sweet and my children have never had any kind of issues with other kids there. Overall, we're tremendously happy with the school. It feels like a bit of a hidden gem. My only criticism is that I wish they continued into later years!

My son transferred to McDonald Montessori from another Montessori school and it has been the best…read morething in the world for him. His anxiety dropped tremendously and he really, really enjoys going to school now. He was like a completely different child after the transition. The lower elementary classroom runs so smoothly and the children learn so much in an environment that doesn't seem pressured or intense. My son is blossoming both academically and socially at McDonald Montessori and we will be very sad at the end of third grade when he has to move on.
