Higher Vision Studios is located in the Kempsriver Crossing Shopping Center. You can enter the…read moreshopping center from several directions, such as from Kempsville Rd, Indian River Rd, and Kempsriver Dr. The road within the shopping center is Fordham Dr. My visit here was on September 14, 2025. The reason for the visit here that day was to celebrate my nephew's birthday. Many of his friends were there too. The storefront for the business is similar to how many other places are, but you can definitely see the big Ninja Warrior sign across the windows on the outside. After coming inside, there was a table area for everyone to sit. However, at that time, it was playtime for the kids. They were running through an obstacle course to try and beat their prior timed attempts. They were at this for quite a while, and it was fun to watch them try, especially after doing it awhile as you could tell they were getting tired out. I'd call that part mission accomplished. Once the obstacle course time was done, everyone came back to the table to celebrate my nephew's birthday. The staff were getting the next event set up during that time. Everyone had a great time with the cake. The second part of the play here involved the kids vs. adults. The lights were turned off, and it was basically like a Nerf War between them. I didn't do that part of it, but I did watch it all unfold. The kids were very quick to get the adults. There are several hiding areas to avoid getting caught or to sneak attack with the Nerf gun. There were also some mini snowballs you could throw around too. Once that part was done and the lights were back on, you could see everyone was tired out. Overall, this was a great place to have a birthday party. The staff were welcoming, and they were patient with the kids too. The atmosphere in here was tuned to the level of fun. They also have weekly summer camps and other offerings as well. There seems to be something for everyone here. If you are looking for a place to go for a birthday party or some other type of event, be sure to check this place out.

I really appreciate the coach's responses to the kids and ability to create respect in the gym/dojo as well as make it really fun for them. I mean, giant inflatable slides, rope swings, balance beams- what's there not to love?! The prices are also affordable, including a free first month right now. Really thankful we heard about this place.

I could not recommend Kid Strong more to parents with young kids. We have been coming since they…read moreopened, and there is so much to love! Program: Kid Strong has a curriculum that focuses on various "milestones" weekly. I love how they also not only incorporate physical milestones like jumping, climbing, etc. but also social-emotional milestones such as public speaking, introductions, ordering food at restaurants, etc. As a teacher, I commend the coaches for not only being able to corral the kids but also engaging them in play-based learning. Coaches: Every single coach that has come onto the gym floor has been kind and encouraging to our five year old. When we started, my daughter was very reluctant to get in floor. Be warned, it is very loud at times. There are two open gyms, there is music playing, the sounds of children playing, coaches and parents encouraging .. it's a lot of sensory overload. But week in and week out, the coaches have encouraged my daughter little by little to join in the fun. Now, she is more confident, more willing to try new things and has even become "class captain" on several occasions. Special shout out to coach Lupita! She's been my daughter's coach from the start and the kids all love her!! Awards: KidStrong encourages "leveling up" as you progress through the classes. After each class, coaches recognize students who have accomplished certain milestones in an award ceremony. I love this bc it allows students to feel confidence for themselves but also their peers. It encourages team building and community.

I locked eyes with one of the employees and nothing happened. She did have one student in her class so maybe she was busy. No one was at the front desk I waited for at least 5mins and left. It was such an awkward situation the lady or instructor could have at least said give us a few or someone will be with you shortly.

I find that odd and weird. All this money this daycare wants you to pay yet it is troubling that someone in such a critical early education role does not hold a degree in Early Childhood Education. The Goddard School is not simply a time for play--it is a foundational academic daycare that supports essential cognitive, social, and emotional development. Educators in this space should have specialized training in early childhood development, instructional strategies for young learners, and knowledge of age-appropriate curriculum standards. A degree in Linguistics, while valuable, does not provide the pedagogical framework or developmental understanding required to teach effectively at this level. This situation raises concerns about the standards being upheld in early learning environments. Recognizing someone as "Teacher of the Year" who lacks a degree in Early Childhood Education not only undermines the value of that credential but also sends the message that passion alone qualifies one to lead a classroom. Passion is important--but it must be paired with relevant, formal education to ensure children receive the quality instruction they deserve.

It took me almost a year to build up the courage to send him and in the summer of 2021 he started at Goddard. Now it's the summer of 2022 and both of our children attend Goddard. Our son is a little timid in large groups and likes to play independently, in each class his "style" has been respected. We get regular updates on his days and when a little extra attention is needed from us, his teachers have been gracious enough to help us reinforce positive behaviors at home. He loves his school and his teachers, every day he has a "great day" (his words). Navigating school and childcare in the post-pandemic has not been easy but we are always thankful and appreciative of the communication and cautiousness that Goddard places on the safety of the students and teachers. I would encourage any family looking for daycare/preschool to explore Goddard!
