I had gone here during the week to order lunch and it was closed but the hours in the business said they should have been open. I went back again and ordered an empanada which was not bad but seemed overpriced and had no sauce on side. Asked for other stuff from menu and they did not have it in stock. I don't think I'll go back to try again as I've had no luck here

The empanadas were so good! We got the aji de pollo, which was filled with tender shredded chciken in a creamy sauce. The shell had a nice crisp, but I wish it was crispier. While the empanadas were tasty, it was not worth $7 each, and definitely not worth the 30 min wait. I wish we knew how long it would take to bake them - we would've ordered more so we wouldn't feel as bad waiting so long for just two empanadas. The service was very friendly, even though it was very slow. Definitely will order ahead of time next time!

This business is active participants in credit card fraud!! Allowing (4) separate transactions for a total of $2,472.46. I hope this business goes under.

Found this new place by accident, and good thing I did because the food is amazing. I had the Lomo Saltado, wife had the Ceviche and their last empanada, all three were deliciously flavorful. Just know that it's a small mom & pop restaurant and service is a bit slow, but the wait is definitely worth it.

I was surprised, though, by how large the selection as relative to the size of the storefront. As the name suggests, the selection of pastries was weighted heavily towards tropical fruits, and while I'm not normally a cheesecake person, trying the guava cheesecake was an interesting experience, and it was as rich as you'd think, but the light fruit flavor provides a nice balance to the experience. Dairy-free customers won't find a ton in the baked goods, but they did have a cooler of frozen tropical fruit bars for sale, as well as beverages. They are not open seven days, which is fair enough if that's what works for them, but that's the only reason I didn't try them sooner.

I especially loved the cheesecakes, they were light and airy but still very flavorful. I can't speak much of the service and ambience but my friend said they threw in a chocolate chip cookie for free in the gift box, which I thought was very sweet. So sad to hear that the business is closing and hoping to see a return in some capacity. Nonetheless I'm grateful I got a chance to try it before it's gone!

So I was happily surprised by the empanadas at Empanadas De Mendoza. I orders their 3 empanadas and side combo which included a traditional beef, pineapple chicken, bbq pork, and French fries. The empanadas rappers were light and crispy and the fillings were generous and juicy. The fries were nicely seasoned. My favorite was the chicken and pork. My only complaint was that the empanadas are a little small and a bit pricey, but I get it - we're in a recession. Overall it was a great meal and I look forward to trying their food again.

SCORE! I said although I've never had them, didn't even peek at them on Yelp :: GASP:: and have been spoiled by authentic empanadas growing up in the NYC area that I would still give them a shot bc I totally needed to eat some stress away and empanadas sounded like the perfect escape to do so. The line was fairly long for the truck but they had it running like a well oiled machine and the guy taking orders was super friendly which made waiting in the cold and dark totally worth it . I went with the 3 empanadas + a side so that I could totally truly give them a fair shot and see what they were working with. I opted for the Spicy Beef, Honey BBQ Pork and the 3 Cheese empanadas + the Chimichurri Fries as a side. OOOOOOOOOMMMGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!! Every morsel of these empanadas, those damn fries and the side dipping sauces were OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!! I literally devoured everything all by myself in under 15 minutes....and I am PROUD ! This place is legit and their flavors are magical! The spicy beef was spicy, the 3 cheeses were cheesy, the honey bbq was perfectly pulled pork like and those fries with the sauces were restaurant week worthy! I can't wait to try the other empanadas on their next go round and must say that my entire week is all better because of Empanadas De Mendoza

I wasn't feeling up to the big chains and places I wanted to try seemed to close early. Luckily this place was open and I had been wanting to try it for a while. Definitely it let a hidden gem! There are some parking spots right in front, although not many. There is a decent amount of seating, but it would be tight if you had a large party. My partner did note that the bathrooms weren't that great. You immediately get served complementary chips and salsa. They were pretty basic, but not bad. We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.
