I am also very grateful for the time and effort that Melissa and Chris (The recruiter and Account Rep handling the assignment for me) have put into getting me placed at this stellar non-profit organization. They are both incredibly kind, and very talented professionals. Robert Half is really very lucky to have them each on staff, in my opinion. I'd like to briefly single each of them out. First, Chris. His warmth, sincerity and intelligence are really stellar examples of what one looks for in a business partnership. From my first meeting with him at the client's offices during the interview process, to the innumerable phone conversations we've shared over the last few weeks, Chris has exhibited an easy going demeanor and calm intellect that has taken what can be an arduous process, and turned it into something that has seemed almost effortless. He has always made time to talk with me when I've had questions about the client, Robert Half or really anything with regard to the overall hiring process. His knowledge and infinite patience have been invaluable to me in securing this opportunity for myself and my spouse. I have no doubt that the qualities that have been so helpful and invaluable to me as a candidate, are the same talents that have allowed Chris to make inroads into the client organization, and forge such strong bonds with the hiring manager and the other members of their staff who have spoken so highly of him during my conversations with them. Melissa has also been nothing short of astounding. She has had an answer to every question, and has repeatedly gotten back to me in a timely manner with additional in-depth information when I have asked or when she felt additional clarification might be needed. From the first video call with Melissa, it was obvious to me that she had that rare combination of exceptional intelligence and trustworthy persona that is so difficult to find in someone who is as much of a go getter as she is. She is truly astonishing, and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her. I have been in training / IT in one form or another for more than two decades. In that time, I have developed the ability to tell the difference between something that is a fit for me (both skills-wise, and on a personality basis), and something that isn't. Both Chris and Melissa took the time to listen to my comments and concerns, and answer my myriad of questions as we went through this process together. As a result, after turning down a handful of opportunities over the last few months, I now have a position about which I am truly excited. So, thanks to RHI and its' stellar associates, I'm all set career-wise for the foreseeable future. And for that, I am eternally grateful. If you're in the market for a new opportunity, give Robert Half a shot. It paid off for me, big time!

HOWEVER.....beware of being asked to do work outside your pay grade and not being rewarded for it. Also, numerous employees have come and gone with no annual or semi-annual review. No raises or salary increases. The yearly "bonus" at Christmas is $250. They mostly deal with small businesses with tight budgets, so salaries are below industry averages for ALL I.T. positions (ex. 55k for a Systems/Field Engineer). And although many companies are guilty of this, due to the inner-circle mentality of the 3 partners, they play favorites within the office. Office politics are very real in the organization. Because of this, there is a difficulty keeping talent with the company. Lastly, there are no set policies when dealing with clients. Exceptions are made to policy depending on what day it is, so consistency is an issue when doing your job. It is also an issue when customers find out that someone else received different treatment for similar and identical issues. I have been in the industry for 20+ years. My advice is, if you are experienced and are not desperate in your job search, take a pass on this company. They will cut a check, but other than that, they are too small and stuck in the past to take seriously.

Most annoying, AT&T's so-called "Virtual Assistant" schedules stuff and dialogs with customers, but it's an outright liar. I waited for a tech one day during the 8 - 12 window Virtual Assistant gave me. Virtual Assistant kept texting me "we're late but we're on the way" for over FOUR HOURS. When it was obvious the tech did not show up, I texted "When are you coming?" Virtual Assistant answered, "We can help you with that." The next day, Virtual Assistant texted "Your repair is complete." I replied, "I don't believe you." Virtual Assistant replied (again) "We can help you with that." Total incompetence. I switched to Spectrum. After I terminated AT&T, they emailed me a "How did we do?" inquiry. I answered it, and a couple of weeks later I received the same inquiry. AT&T's downfall is its stupid automated communications. The nice thing about Spectrum is that they have live people there to answer the phone and their answers are helpful.

Right off the bat, Tim went straight into commenting on my resume, pointing out a few things that stood out to him. After inquiring about the type of jobs I was looking for, he then proceeded to make a few suggestions on how I can better present my resume while emailing me several resume samples and templates as guidance. He is empathetic, intelligent and to had a great sense of understanding of what I was hoping to get out of this and as a result, he more than delivered!
