We had an instance where our daughters car lost coolant. It was determined that the radiator had a crack. After calling a couple of places we called Kyle at My Car Shop. He was very knowledgeable & was able to service the car within a day at a fair price. He explained that a crack on a radiator may have a root cause & a small block test can narrow down that it is just the radiator issue & not a larger problem. My son had issues with his 2005 Chevy Silverado and we took it to Manual Transmission. But they were so busy they couldn't get to it in time so they took it to this place, My Car Shop. After a couple days I started speaking with the owner, Julie, who called me everyday to inform me on what they were doing to his truck. He had a misfire and they did a compression test and changed the plugs and wires and that solved the problem. The neighbor garage next to them owned a similar type vehicle that my son has, and he was aware of a certain issue of the plug wires not staying on the 7th and 8th cylinder securely enough. That's what it was. After a couple different test drives by the neighbor garage, he had figured out the issue and resolved it very quickly! She even called me about 15 minutes before she had to leave early just to see if my son could get by there and pick it up before they were gone for the Thanksgiving week end. My son did get there the next morning and did get the vehicle and it is running fine. I didn't get a chance to meet Julie as I live in Vegas and our son is in Reno. I will get a chance to stop in there and thank her and the shop guys very much for going above and beyond to making sure his vehicle was running safe. I do have some more questions for her and I will ask her in the future because I feel comfortable and confident of her answers because of the past work she's done on this truck. read more

The box stores wouldn't even look at it unless I bought their sensors or charge me an outrageous amount. The people here charged me 1/4 of what the other shops wanted and used my brand new sensors. They don't try to swindle you into fixing something that isn't broken nor do they try to take advantage of you because you know little about cars . They worked on the car as efficiently as possible . I was quoted fairly and was estimated on a decent time frame for the work I needed done . Knowing that I had a toddler they turned my 3 hr wait time into 2. This place is a total rip off! My teenage daughter took her car in. It was having engine light issues and it was running rough. After reassuring her that this would fix the issue and quoting her $1200 she called me. I called the shop myself. After going through everything with them, I said that sounds fine. One day after she left the engine light came back on etc. she took it back. They worked on it again. Told me that they drove it for 15 miles(umm that's 15 miles they added to the car) said "the engine light stayed off and the jerking was fixed. Long behold. Next day engine light one jerking still happening. Mind you I live out of state. I called them back. Lady was rude as hell!! They said have her bring it back in, so they could "blow" something out and if that didn't work then it was a separate issues and it would cost us more $$$. Do not go there!!!
