I shut down the small project I hired him for because the work was sloppy and I was starting to question his character. He promised to refund a portion of the deposit but I have yet to see it. In fact, when I canceled the project, he threatened to get me in trouble for a structural project my contractor is doing. The fact that he assumed we didn't have a permit speaks volumes about his own way of doing business. (We had gotten a permit weeks before starting the work and the inspector had even been to the house and given his OK.) I am out $500 and I have learned that it's essential to Google someone's name before hiring them for anything. I suggest you do the same. There is a public record on this guy and it's not good.

I texted him that I was going to hire another contractor and that I hoped he would have the integrity to return the money I had paid him. Finally I sent a letter from an attorney to which he did not respond, and I am about to sue him in small claims court. I highly recommend NOT hiring Prime Time Contracting or Mike Coxon.
