Daniele Barcaglia and Justin Burton worked daily in absolute miserable weather, snowy, raining and windy cold but continued to focus on our deck with unhurried care and conscientiousness, making sure that each cut and placement of materials was spot on. The final result was just superb and we could not be more pleased with the quality of work and with the friendly and hard-working gentleman on this job. First of…read moreall, Richard returned my call within half an hour which, as anyone who has ever dealt with contractors can attest to, is almost unheard of. He also showed up exactly when he said he was going to, gave us a very fair price for a roof repair, and then came back to do the job exactly when he said he was going to. Richard and his team did a super job, cleaned up after themselves, and were very pleasant and professional. I've since had Richard install tile and laminate flooring, change moldings, and paint rooms. All the jobs were beautifully done. Again, Richard gave me fair prices, showed up every day at the scheduled time, and made sure that everything was tidy before he and his crew left each day. When he finished the floors, he actually cleaned all my interior windows because he didn't want to leave any tile dust! I've referred him to friends, and I know that they are also very happy with his work. I'll definitely call Richard whenever I'm thinking of any home repair or improvement.

Warren Lashway and his crew just finished a third major remodeling job for us over the course of…read morethe last seven years, and they did an outstanding job as usual. We've returned to them time after time for the following reasons: - Honesty. All of the work Warren has done for us involved a contract containing an exhaustive list of the scope of the work and an estimate. We could depend on Warren to deliver as promised. - Workmanship. Warren does things right, both safety-wise and aesthetically. Carpentry, caulking, painting, tile work, flooring, electrical work, plumbing--everything works as it should and looks great. - Problem-solving. Warren is a creative thinker and has often come up with solutions to difficult issues. He draws on a lifetime of experience in the construction industry to solve novel problems. - Value. The first time I met Warren, he told me, "I won't give you the cheapest quote, but I'll give you good value for your money." He has delivered on that promise. His work done seven years ago has stood the test of time. - Collaboration. Warren has always been interested in getting our input in projects and has been open to new ideas along the way. He is friendly, easy-going, and respectful, and is a good communicator. When friends and neighbors share horror stories about contractors they've hired, we tell them about our experience with Warren Lashway. They tell us we've been very lucky, and we agree. We recommend Lashway Construction without reservation.

Found this company online with seemingly impressive work, so called and spoke with Warren Lashway…read moreon or about 12/4/24 and made an appointment to come out and look at roof leak problem on Friday, 12/5. He called 12/5 to cancel because he had about 3" of snow, asking how much I got which was about an inch. Made another appointment for Saturday, 12/6 to arrive between 9:30-10am and never showed up or called. To this day, 12/10/24, no call, no apology for wasting my whole day waiting for him! As this would have been not only a repair and/or roof job and possibly siding, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth and will never use someone this inconsiderate.

Thursday arrived with significant work left to be done with Friday deadline. Work was rushed from then on and the end result showed it. Paint job was terrible. Tile floor was also cobbed. Much other evidence of hurry up and finish attitude. Issues were addressed a week later after several calls and waiting around for work to be completed again. Overall a very stressful , inconvenient and unimpressive experience. Felt our little job wasn't a priority . Would not recommend this company as they seem to have too much work to handle with reliable, satisfactory work for every job taken on.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! I originally decided to work with McDonald Construction for an interior…read moreremodel including new layout of kitchen, bathroom, and dining room, because I was impressed with the time Jeff (owner) took with me during the estimate process and I liked his attention to detail. However when the job started I didn't realize Jeff wouldn't be involved much at all. Instead the Foreman running the job didn't share the same values as Jeff, He is actually a complete HACK and I would never let him in my home again. Jeff's price was by far not the cheapest but I thought it would be worth it for a job well done. Instead all the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC was done by the foreman who clearly has no business to be in that line of work. It was all done incorrectly, with many shortcuts taken. He also lied and cheated his way through every inspection process that clearly needed to be done. After many missed deadlines, a job that was estimated to take 8 weeks was stretched to over 20 weeks where I was finally forced to remove this company from the job and spend more time and money finishing with other contractors. After just a few short months I am already having issues with the work McDonald Construction performed.

I found Friello and Sons via the NYSERDA website as a "Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®"…read morecontractor. Once I was approved for a home energy assessment, I looked for a small, locally owned company. My first contact was with Mike, the owner of this company. He put me in contact with Wayne Roberts who did our assessment. Wayne prepared all required documentation that the NYSERDA program requires. Wayne also provided a lot of information about the EFS loans/programs as well as rebate information that would be available. Mike was very helpful throughout the entire process. The devil is in the details and he suffered my onslaught of constant questions and questioning with patience and humor. He is very open and responsive to communication. We converted from oil to gas. This required National Grid to come out and install a gas line from the road. Friello and Sons this coordinated as well after my initial application to National Grid. My oil tank was removed, insulation added to the attic as well as blown into the walls, new furnace installed, cooling system installed, a tankless water heater was also installed. While this endeavor was expensive, it is being financed and paid via my electric bill. You want a full service over-haul of your heating/cooling system? You want friendly people? You want fair pricing? You want good service? I highly recommend Friello and Sons.
