MVP Strategic Solutions, LLC - Javon Banks. Avoid this company! I hired them to load my PODS, and they left 5 minutes after arriving to buy supplies, but still charged me for all 3 movers and full time. When they left I discovered small holes in the walls and areas that needed to be painted. When unloading a few days later, I found my furniture scratched, chipped, and broken--with most pieces completely unprotected & not wrapped.
The owner was rude, defensive, and denied everything, even after I sent security footage. Told me to "take him to court" "those aren't my guys"
Mind you, I never brought this to his attention asking for a refund. I kindly asked, if they placed the broken furniture trim somewhere so I could have it repaired. I was faced with arguing and a defensive attitude.
This company was careless, damaged my home and furniture, and refused to take accountability. If you value your belongings or want basic professionalism, I would strongly recommend avoiding them.
Update: he changed the owners name on Thumbtack to Sonya Watson
--------------------
The holes in the walls, scratched paint and damaged handrails at the house I moved out of show the damage was caused by moving out.
I hired MVP to load on 8/17 and was able to move into the new house on 8/29, I messaged Javon the night I moved in and called 8/30.
I called to ask a question, kindly "do you know where the broken dresser trim pieces are?" I never got into blame or even requesting refund. I was faced with a very unprofessional, defensive, argumentative attitude stating "show me the footage!" A simple, kind response would have gone a long way, some acknowledgement or accountability. But the response proved guilt and unprofessionalism. As shown by his response to this review.
The company hired to unload (not MVP) has written a statement attesting to the damage found on the furniture prior to unloading it, this was witnessed by 3 unbiased people. I hired 3 guys from MVP strategic solutions for $700 total plus a $50 deposit. I cut off the time for 2 reasons: #1 2 of the 3 guys left for a hour after first arriving to get supplies (and still charged for this hour) #2 all of the heavy, big items were loaded and the only items left were garage things that still needed to be packed into boxes.
MVP was strategic with how they packed the PODS, but unfortunately not all of the furniture was wrapped or protected, leading to more getting damaged during transport.
I entrusted by personal belongings with what I thought was a professional moving company, with the intent everything would have been packed nicely and protected. Especially given they were going into PODS and transport would not be as smooth as using a uhaul truck.
I expected a "professional" moving company to know how to pack efficiently and protect everything, otherwise I could have hired some random people (for much cheaper) to lift the heavy things which is basically what I ended up getting anyways.
MVP would be a company to hire if you have no other option, only boxes to move or furniture you don't mind getting banged up. The process of moving is already stressful enough, do yourself a favor and avoid MVP if you don't want to add on more stress. read more
