Due to some unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances in my recent personal life, I had to hire movers 3 times in a month. The first time, I just needed to get a couple things from an office building into a storage unit. I found MUV on the U-Haul website, rented a truck myself, and they met me at the first location. If we are being honest, I selected the cheapest option and was expecting the service to reflect that, but I was happily surprised that it did not! The two men who arrived were prompt (actually even earlier than me), courteous, and handled my things with care. A few weeks later, my apartment flooded and I needed to move within a couple of days, so I booked another u-haul and hired them from the website again. At the time of booking, I didn't even realize it was Memorial Day and panicked thinking they wouldn't actually show up, but they did! This time Hector, the owner, was one of my movers, and he was very communicative and flexible with the timing that day (I think they had a lot of reservations that day due to the holiday weekend). For this round, we moved my furniture out of storage as well as my old apartment and into a new apartment, and I appreciated that there was no additional fee for an extra location. Since I had to move so quickly, my stuff was poorly packed and a huge mess, so we weren't able to finish it all within the 2 hours I had booked, but they were very accommodating and managed to fit in some time for me the next day as well. By this time I had finally learned that you don't actually need to book through the U-Haul website-- they have their own truck and equipment as well-- so we used that, which was more streamlined and efficient for the same price. I'd also like to mention that I was recovering from an injury, so I quite literally did not lift a single thing the entire time. All 5 of the different movers who helped me during these 3 bookings were friendly and we had a good time. Thank you for a wonderful experience during a very difficult time in my life! I hope I don't need to relocate again for a long time, but if I do, I will definitely use MUV again. read more

After calling many, many other companies, and reading reviews, I was thrilled with the professionalism and service we received especially for the price. I was scheduled between 2 - 4 arrival time. They called around noon and asked if it would be a problem to move me a little later. Someone called them very distraught that their movers had canceled and she had to be out by 5. In reading reviews of other companies, I knew this happened a lot. I was told that it was completely up to me. I felt no pressure to oblige and decided another hour or two was acceptable to help out this other person. It only took an hour to completely unload everything to my 3rd floor apartment. They asked where each box needed to go, removed plastic from the furniture and offered help setting it up. We paid for the full 2 hours we scheduled without hesitation. It would have taken regular people 6 hours to bring everything up 3 flights of stairs. This should absolutely be the first company you call when you need movers. read more

Recently moved up the road from my previous home about a week ago. The only vehicles I have are sedans so I was very limited to what I could move on my own and didn't want to spend thousands to have my furniture moved by some company who wasn't going to care about how important to me my belongings were. I made hector aware that I had several family heirlooms that had been with us for several generations. Let me just say I could not be more impressed with how much care and regard he showed for all of my belongings, and on top of that he got done in one day what I was thinking would take at least two. AJ Moving was scheduled to deliver and unload my UBox, which Hector and Tyler did incredibly efficiently, in very little time. I had to move last minute (48 hour notice) and wasn't able to pack up my belongings but thanks to Hector and his staff they packed my whole house house for me!! They were fast and focus. Price was good, and affordable when booking directly through the site. I have started unpacking everything now and all of my belongings are in wonderful shape and survived the move! The team at MUV made my move into a new apartment this month so seamless and took a huge weight off my back. The care they took when packing, loading, and unloading my furniture and boxes was beyond how I would have thought to care for my things when moving. They were totally prepared with furniture blankets, plastic wrap, and even huge boxes to pack up some of my smaller things for quick loading and unloading. I absolutely cannot say enough about this very professional, very accommodating caring company. I was in a very time-sensitive impossible situation. My daughter and I were left with a 15 ft fully loaded U-Haul that we had absolutely no way of unloading into our storage unit. I was at my wit's end! Wow! Hector and Andrew are great! I went on Yelp Saturday. Sent a request to about 15 movers. A J Moving responded first! Compared with three others who also responded the first day before making my decision on Sunday. They scheduled me right away - on Tuesday. Today is Wednesday. My move is done.
