Vegetable Gyoza (Japanese dumplings)(6 pcs)
Edna G.

Found this ramen place close to our Hoboken AirBnB as it was walking distance. Easy to find and some street parking if you drive in. The restaurant was decent. Plenty of tables and good for groups. There are some outdoor seating as well if it's crowded or nice outside. My family tried the below: -Miso Ramen - broth was ok, not my favorite. -Tonkotsu Ramen - broth is ok, not my favorite. I guess I like to have a little spiciness in my soup and we didn't choose the spicy Tonkotsu instead. -Pan-fried Vegetable Gyoza - I thought it was good but my kids said it was ok. -Chicken Katsu Curry Rice plate - my son said it was ok but he didn't finish it. -Tan Tan Ramen - broth was very good and plenty of ingredients The one thing I don't like is thin ramen noodles but that's me. Everyone has their favorites. Sometimes Japanese ramen places like it thin. Service was friendly, attentive and maybe our server was the owner but he was funny. [109R,2025]

Pretty solid ramen place in Hoboken. The broth was so flavorful and delicious. The egg was perfectly soft boiled and the chashu was tender.

Delicious Ramen stop for a no-frills, comforting experience. The Bao buns are fire & their ramen is perfectly slurpy goodness. The ambiance is ok & lighting could've been better but food service is quick. This should be the stop for your next craving.

Got the black tonkatsu ramen and it was ok. I think both the noodle and the broth could use some improvement. I prefer the noodle texture to be more chewy, and was hoping that the broth would be more flavorful.

Dining experience was great - you order on your phone and pay on the app as well. The food comes quickly and served to you. My ramen was delicious and the staff was friendly.

Truly one of the most aesthetically pleasing and best priced ramen places I have been too! This spot on Washington St serves up authentic Japanese ramen and bao buns. I ordered the Muteki Ramen and for $18, the bowl was bigger than my head! It was loaded with toppings such as bean sprouts, cabbage, mushrooms, bamboo, scallions, eggs and more. We also ordered the Karaage Chicken Buns and Chasu Pork Buns and they were so delicious - the perfect addition to this amazing comfort meal. The style of this restaurant made me feel like I was back in Japan with the seating arrangement and open kitchen - it was so cool being able to see the cooks preparing the dishes. Truly an amazing find and recommend trying your next night out in Hoboken.

perfect spot to get all warmed up and satisfied especially during these cold winter days! we started off with their takoyakis and cucumber salad and they definitely worked up our appetites! i thoroughly enjoyed the cucumber salad-perfect dressing and very good crunch! All the ramens we ordered had delicious broth, chewy noodles and savory meat! Portions were perfect too. I appreciate the space and that we were comfy enough to bring our baby's stroller in without feeling so tight. Service was timely and efficient too! overall a very good experience!

One good ramen place in Hoboken! Have been here multiple times. Went for my usual vegetarian creamy ramen- loved the texture of broth. Less salt but overall good. The veggie tempura buns were out of the world . Loved the sauce and the crunchy spring onion topping on the tempura. My husband ordered the spicy tonkotsu. It wasn't hot enough and had a bland taste. However, he enjoyed his karage buns! We ordered a lychee sparkling drink- yummy loved it! They are a byob place and their service has always been impeccable. Will definitely go here again just for my veggie ramen.

Pretty bad broth. The ambiance and service were great, the food was just not good. I got the Muteki Ramen and it was really bad. Noodles were good, but that was some very unbalanced broth. Out of respect, I try to finish what I order, but this was one really bad bowl. The garnishes were good too, but bad broth = bad ramen. It's my first time leaving a ramen place without finishing from flavor alone.

4.5* Wanted ramen on a cold night and this was one of the options! Partner and I walked in and there were only 2 groups. As the night went on it definitely got more crowded and there's not too much seating so I think there ended up being a bit of a wait. Started out with ordering the chicken karage which was alright! Not the best thing ever, but tasted decent. Then I ordered the kimchi ramen which was AMAZING. Super rich broth & the pork was super good. Noodles were a bit thinner than I'm used to but still tasted good. Great and hearty and so yummy. Loved their ramen! Definitely would be back to try more of their menu. Definitely a great spot to check out!

.Came in town from LA and love ramen so of course I had to find ramen while on vacation. Cute Ramen place in Hoboken with good service, kind staff and yummy food. Close walking distance to lots of shops Love the flavor of the broth and meat. I love noodles and thought the portion of noodles was perfect with option to pick thin or thick. Goyza was super delicious too. Not many people on a Monday night at the time we went but steady flow of people coming in for their to go orders! Would definitely come back if I'm in town.

Cozy little spot on Washington. It was a freezing cold day and a hot steamy bowl of delicious ramen was just what we needed to nourish our body and mind. There are many restaurants and Asian dining selections in town, but this place got exceptional ratings for their ramen. It did not disappoint in the quality and creativity with their selections. Service was prompt and friendly.

I really like this place. I went here yesterday and I like the aesthetic. They have great customer service and food.

Chicken Kaarage 5/5 This is a must-try for me. The chicken was perfectly marinated, seasoned, and cooked. I could probably eat a whole bucket of these myself. It shined even without the sauce (but who doesn't love sauce) Red Tonkotsu 4/5 The noodles were nice and chewy with a good bounce. The toppings were great and well cooked and seasoned. We arrived at 12pm on Sunday, when they opened and I was surprised to see that we were the first ones there. The ambiance was cozy and upscale. We loved the bench seating with our kids, very spacious ( i think 6 adults could squeeze). Small wooden bowls for the kids to share a ramen. My wife ordered the spicy miso, I ordered the special Yuzu ramen and the kids split the Shoyu ramen. We also ordered some chicken yakitori and sweet potato fries to share. Food came out quickly and everything tasted good. The yuzu takes a little getting used to (tangy but savory), but my wife loved it. I would definitely come back.

We walked into a casual space with the kind of atmosphere where you come in for a satisfying bowl of noodles rather than a long dining experience. The smell of the broth coming from the kitchen adds to the warmth, creating that cozy feeling you expect from a good ramen spot. The space is straightforward and functional, letting the food speak for itself. The ramen is the main reason to visit, and the bowls are built with a lot of care. The noodles have a nice firm texture and hold up well in the broth, giving each bite a good balance between the noodles and soup. The broths lean richer and more flavorful, especially for those who enjoy a deeper, heavier ramen style. The toppings are generous, with slices of pork, soft boiled egg, seaweed, bamboo shoots, and green onions adding different textures and flavors throughout the bowl. The pork is tender and well seasoned, and the egg is cooked to that perfect jammy consistency that ties the whole bowl together. The Spicy Miso Ramen stands out as one of the more popular choices, bringing heat while still keeping the savory depth of the miso base. The curry ramen is also worth considering if you want something different from the usual ramen options, offering a thicker, more aromatic broth that still feels comforting. Beyond ramen, the fried chicken, known locally as zangi, and fried rice make good additions to round out the meal, especially if you are looking for something more filling. The zangi is crisp on the outside and juicy inside, a solid complement to the heavier noodle bowls. Service is quick and friendly, and the food comes out efficiently even when the restaurant is busy. The staff handle the steady flow without losing the casual neighborhood feel, making it an easy place to stop by whether you are dining alone or with a group. The menu has enough variety without feeling overwhelming, and the focus stays clearly on the ramen. Menkoi Sao is a solid option for anyone looking for authentic feeling Hokkaido style ramen in New York. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the bowls are the type of meal that feels especially satisfying on a colder day. While the richer broths may be heavier than what some people prefer, it works well for anyone who enjoys a more traditional, full-bodied ramen experience that delivers on warmth, depth, and comfort.

Had me at Caviar + chicken, but blew me away with the lobster myun!…read more Was a fight for our lives for a reservation, but we managed to snag a table for 4 people at 5:30 pm on Tuesday. Reservations open 2 weeks before. Note: If you cannot get a reservation right away, stay on the notification list. Cancellations do occur pretty often! What we got: - Toro Ssam Bap ~ portion is decent for a party of 2. For a party of 4, we managed to have a bite each, and leftovers for one more bite. Very decent and decadent in flavors, with the rice tying everything together. The seafood speaks for itself in this dish! - Truffle Scallop ~ THIS. Truffle was not the star of the show. The sauce pairing this dish was! Scallop was sweet and the sauce was tangy. Altogether, this dish had so much flavor, we were all fighting for a third bite! - Amberjack and Onion ~ The amberjack was refreshing and light. Onion salad definitely overshadowed the fish. Would eat the onion separately and at the end. - Jeju Fried Chicken ~ The new toasted bread and butter! Fried chicken was perfectly fried! Crispy on the outside. Juicy and meaty on the inside. The caviar literally melts away when paired with the chicken. - Jeju Ribs ~ Recommended by the server, this was decent, but nothing to hype for, in my opinion. Added protein to the table. Slightly sweet in the glaze, but mainly too salty without anything pairing with it. This dish could've been substituted with another. - Lobster Myun ~ THE STAR OF THE SHOW. How can one bowl of noodles have the flavor of five lobsters?! Most flavorful dish at the table. Noodles were perfectly chewy. Crazy idea, but... fried chicken paired with the sauce would go hard! All in all, 10/10 experience. Lighting was dim, but it lets the food shine even more! A great start to the night, and a great start to the NYC trip! Will return for some fried chicken and lobster noodle combo!
