Me and partner needed some lunch and walked Aron's the neighborhood as we were indecisive. Decided to give Ku Ramen a try and loved it! We didn't expect the food to remind of us out neigborhood Chinese spot back in NYC and definitely said we would come back. I had the lychee ice tea and I don't think I would have that again left a weird after taste for me. We ate at the location and service was good but some mistake was made with serving but there was only one server. The place gets busy and have the option to sit down or take out here,. Like I said good spot and would come back!

Who knew this was so close to home. It was a good experience. Chk teriyaki like I read in other reviews sauce is good. I like Panda Express better. Portions are good but still pricy. I would recommend still. Scallion pancakes was too oily I guess that's how they are.... I get kawan paratha from grocery store and they match a bit to it... other than oily They were ok not my fav. Miso Ramen had good flavors spicy side gave a kick. Presentation was good. I recommend to try and see it yourself. Lastly brown sugar milk tea was a disappointment it was watery and didn't like it. Overall was a good experience!!!!

New ramen spot that just opened up. Everything is so clean. Not many bubble tea options in this area so happy that there is now a bubble tea place

Don't let looks fool you!! We stopped by at 9p on a Thursday night, and though there's not too much to say on ambiance (seems most like a takeout place for now), if you like One Piece or Naruto, it's definitely decked out. Note that though this markets as a ramen place, it's Chinese-run, and they do offer some other dishes. My wife and I ordered from a Kiosk (available in English or Chinese) to put our order through and pay. Note that their online menu differs a little from the kiosk - seems there's some extra items available with in-store ordering (but I'll explain in a bit) We ordered the Black Garlic Ramen ($14.50), a Szechuan-style beef dish (think it was around $15?), and some scallion pancakes Black Garlic Ramen - I know $14.50 might be steep, but it's GOOD. Ramen comes filled with nicely chewy ramen noodles, 2 (yes, 2) well marinated soft-boiled eggs, bamboo shoots, mushroom, fish cake, scallion, pickled ginger, and 3 (!!!) pieces of charsiu. The charsiu was on point, and this is coming from someone who's eaten A TON of ramen in NYC. The flavor and texture were different in that the pork was fall-apart (not completely though, so you can pick it up) and less tough than what I've been having lately. The broth also had really good garlic flavor. Scallion Pancakes ($4.50) - For the price, it's very good! 8 pieces of scallion pancake (looks like the pieces were about 3" long, for reference) that were very crunchy and flavored well. Szechuan Beef - This was also a favorite. The beef came out in a metal bowl with those heating cans underneath, and is served with well-cooked white rice. The flavor had numbing spice but was not overwhelming (I have normal spice tolerance), and comes served with onions, peppers, and zucchini. We brought some home and used the oil to stir fry more food, so it's a good sized portion! Will be back for some late night cravings!

Anime and Asian Food might be a dream come true in Jersey City. The One Piece Art is what attracted me. Top 2 best Anime ever. Not a fan of Asian flavors but I wont be bias ? & let my wife review with me. When you walk in you have enough seats to sit down and the server come take care of you. For appetizer we had the steam gyoza. I didn't like it but my wife enjoyed it with the sauce. My wife had the Miso Chicken ramen. She gave it an 8.7/10. The perfect spiciness in the broth, egg was super delicious and noodles was perfectly cooked. She didn't rlly like the chicken. I had the chicken teriyaki with rice. I didnt like the chicken teriyaki at all but enjoyed the sauce of it with my rice yum. Wife thinks chicken teriyaki is tender and juicy. She also loved the sauce. I had a peach ice tea which was delicious

    Kumamoto fries

Paid 9.50 for an appetizer of fries before deciding if I wanted to get ramen. Absolutely worst appetizer. 1. There was no pork on them, 2. It took 15 minutes to get them 3. They were terrible! They tasted like frozen fries with some sweet and sour sauce that I could e made better at home!

I've been to several anime themed spots in Miami and Edison. So I was happy to see one in my backyard of Jersey City. Been to it twice and tried the Miso Ramen soup, spring roll and chicken skewer. And on my next trip I tried the Teriyaki chicken rice dish and beef skewer. Left both times satisfied. I'll try the bubble tea next time. Nice good spot in the Square. Love the One Piece anime theme.

We had lunch special & good portion. Food was good. Street parking but from Path Journal Sq is about 10 mins walk.

    An actual steamed pork bun.

A Decade of Love on a Plate: A Local Favorite That Punches Above Its Weight…read more This place is the definition of a neighborhood gem--the kind you almost want to keep secret, yet can't stop yourself from praising. Cheap and cheerful on the surface, it punches way above its weight class, delivering inventive, clean, Asian-inspired food that's masterfully cooked by clearly skilled hands--and made with real love. I've been coming back year after year for most of this restaurant's 10-year lifespan, and that consistency is no accident. Every dish tastes intentional, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying, with a clear goal: to feed people love on a plate. It's a super veggie/vegan friendly that easily wins over even my "meat and potatoes" husband--who happily cleans his plate every time. In an era where genuine hospitality feels increasingly rare, Perry single-handedly restored my faith that quality service is not extinct. Warm, attentive, and authentically kind, Perry makes every guest feel seen, welcome, and cared for--without pretense or attitude. This is food that nourishes, service that uplifts, and a place that keeps you coming back not just for the flavors, but for how it makes you feel. A true neighborhood treasure.

Mediocre food and very slow service!…read more This place was a disappointment for what I hoped from a highly rated ramen place in the area. The service was quite slow, almost waited 1 hour for entrees to be brought to the table. It's a small place with limited staff working everything. The food was fairly basic. The fried rice seemed to be bland and below par despite ordering the spicy version. My friend who ordered the ramen liked the soup but the meat was not fully cooked and felt chewy.

The main difference is that the JC spot has a full bar with awesome bartenders and really fun, creative drinks, while Montclair is BYOB. Both have great energy, but this review (and the drool-worthy photo attached) is for the downtown JC location. I'll admit it- I'm a creature of habit. I've been here more times than I can count, and I always order the vegan ramen. As is. No extras needed. It's just that good. The vegetable broth is hands down the best I've ever had. I could sip it straight from a mug and be happy, but the noodles and fresh, crispy toppings take it to another level. Every bite feels balanced and intentional. The ambiance is fun, modern industrial, and a little dark but lively. One wall is all exposed brick, which gives it such a cool vibe. The metal chairs aren't exactly built for lounging, but come on, we're downtown slurping ramen, not hanging out at a sleepy café. The staff is always friendly and totally on top of things. They know the menu inside and out, so if you're ordering vegan, you can trust you're in good hands. The food really speaks for itself. I'll be slurp-sip-repeating here for as long as Ani Ramen keeps those bowls coming!

Order was correct. And it will be our last time though. We ordered kurobuta sausage, a side of soy glazed chicken, side of garlic yu choy, side of yaki-pulled pork, the pork bowl, and Tokyo shoyu ramen. The side dishes were great. That's all we would have ordered had we known. The Tokyo shoyu ramen was awful, unflavorful and way overpriced. Egg costs extra for ramen... bizarre. All other places add everything for the same price and way better flavor. Noodles overcooked. Pork bowl also bland. This place is a pass for us. We miss vivi bubble in Hoboken. They had the best ramen. :(
