I immediately followed them but they are usually more in the Puyallup/Sumner area. My boyfriend and I were in the area and I saw that they were at a YMCA in Sumner so I told my boyfriend that was where we were going to get food. They were parked near the entrance and we saw that they have a menu at the pick up window and to the side of the truck. They a good amount of stuff on their menu that I think cater to all taste buds. The service here was okay, but maybe the employee was really tired. They have sauces and candy too. My boyfriend got the Lok Lak Roll with the Biscoff Bliss as well as their cajun and lemon fries while I got their chicken red curry sandwich and a fresh mango and strawberry Italian soda. It took some time to get ouur order but I think it was two people and they were getting a steady line of people ordering. When our buzzer informed us of our order being ready, we grabbed it immediately and sat at one of the outdoor tables and chairs at the YMCA. The sandwiches were packed with their respective ingredients and it was delicious with each bite. Their fries were fantastic and a perfect pair to the sandwich. Our drinks were amazing too, the Biscoff Shake was the perfect thickness where you can still get a sip without sucking too hard. I enjoyed my Italian soda and I do love that they use fresh crushed fruit that you can taste. I look forward to trying their other Cambodian sandwiches as it is hard to find Cambodian food in the area. I have noticed they are trying to go to other locations besides their usual spots too so hoping they will come nearby in the near future!

I am leaving this one-star review because of an incident I experienced at Joe's Deli on 08/27/2026,…read moreat approximately 01:40pm. I entered the restaurant to pick up an Uber Eats order that clearly displayed my name, "Stephen Y". Shortly after entering, an Asian female employee repeatedly called out "Pua" while indicating toward me. I initially did not respond because Pua is not my name. I told her that I was picking up an order for Stephen and showed her my phone, but she continued saying "Pua" and then showed me my Uber Eats order. I accepted the order and left because I did not immediately process what she was calling me. Shortly afterward, I realized that Pua is the pig character from Disney's Moana. As a Samoan man, I found this racially degrading, humiliating, and extremely offensive. I returned to the restaurant and reported what happened to another employee. She identified the employee involved as Yun or Yung, or a similar-sounding name, and told me the owner would be there the following morning. I also told a Samoan colleague what happened. She called Joe's Deli and spoke directly with the employee involved. The employee claimed that she had said "Uber", not "Pua". However, I distinctly heard her repeatedly say "Pua," even after I showed her that my name was Stephen. The following morning, 08/28/26, at approximately 09:37am, I returned and spoke with the owner for about five minutes. He identified himself as the employee's son. He defended his mother, attributed the incident to a language barrier, and said she did not know that Pua referred to a pig or that it would be offensive to a Samoan person. He also said she did not know how to pronounce "Uber", apparently contradicting what she told my colleague. I explained that my name was clearly displayed on the order and that if she could not pronounce "Stephen," she could have simply said "Uber" or just waved me down and showed me my order. There was some back-and-forth, but the owner continued defending his mother and maintained that she was not racist. Even if I give her the benefit of the doubt and accept that she genuinely mispronounced "Uber" and had no racist intent, it does not change how degrading the experience was. A mistake can still cause racial harm. The appropriate response should have included acknowledgment, concern, and an apology, not immediately dismissing my experience and making excuses. I reported the incident because it needed to be acknowledged and addressed, not because I wanted anything from the business or wanted anyone to get in trouble. The so-called "language barrier" still ended up being a disrespectful experience. Anyway, should the owner read this, next time, advise your mother that Maui would have been better to be called than Pua.

Jersey Mike's Subs - Federal Way, Washington…read more I've always loved Jersey Mike's, so I was happy to stop by this location in Federal Way, Washington. When I walked in, I was greeted with a warm "Welcome to Jersey Mike's!" The restaurant looked clean and tidy overall. The windows were clean, the floors appeared clean, the parking was great, and the prices were reasonable. Most importantly, my sub was really good! I was especially impressed with the three employees working. They were very nice, friendly, and helpful, and they took the time to suggest different items from the menu. If it were up to me, I would give those three employees five stars because they were absolutely wonderful! There were, however, a few things I noticed that I hope management can address. While I was waiting in line, I noticed that the cutting board being used appeared to need cleaning. I also noticed that the trash cans were overflowing, and there were used gloves on the floor. I will include pictures with my review so the restaurant can see exactly what I'm talking about. Jersey Mike's has a great restaurant, great employees, and a great sub. I really think this location just needs a little more attention to cleanliness and keeping things tightened up throughout the day--especially making sure cutting boards are cleaned between customers, trash is emptied before it overflows, and used gloves are picked up from the floor. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and I would definitely come back several times. I've always loved Jersey Mike's, and I appreciate the employees who worked hard and were so friendly. Thank you, Jersey Mike's, for having a great sub shop in Federal Way! I hope you'll take these concerns seriously and make a few small improvements because your employees and food are definitely worth coming back for. Five stars for the employees, the great sub, the friendly service, and the overall experience--with a request for a little more attention to cleanliness. but your employees were excellent Five stars from that Review Lady on Yelp!

The management is 100% sexist. Let me share the good, the bad, and the ugly I experienced:…read more The good: - I went in for breakfast on a Sunday with a friend and enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and our server. So, when I noticed a job posting for a "server/bartender" on indeed, I thought about applying for a part-time position. From what I can gather from the employees I talked to, management does have their back and does a lot to support their restaurant, which is fantastic to hear, but of course there's always another side to the coin.... The bad: - One of the first things out of the manager's mouth in my initial interview was "Men aren't good servers and typically you need to work twice as hard to impress me..." and went on about how I was going to be extra scrutinized, which is 100% absolutely illegal and discrimination based on sex/gender. It was appalling to hear, especially when some of my greatest mentors in hospitality have been men. I get that this place is a diner, and many of their clientele are older and might be used to that, but that's no excuse to be sexist and break the law. The ugly: - Well, I came in for a final interview and was clearly setup to fail as the interviewee told me they had no questions for me. It seems they wanted her to "feel" out people, but all that serves to do is make people nervous, as people aren't sure what to say and it's natural to fill in the empty space, which doesn't set up anyone to be laid back and relaxed. On my way out, I looked around and noticed that every single server was a women. Yes, as soon as I got back home, I got a message saying they picked another candidate. All I can say is that I hope "her" and Poodle Dog the best. Lastly, if you're a man and looking for a "server" position, don't even waste your time with this place because they are blatantly biased and have no problem saying so, despite that being completely against the law. That said, don't worry about it if that's also you, because you likely wouldn't want to work for people like this anyways (as it would only be a matter of time before they unfairly judged you, etc.)
