The rolls should be grilled, or at least not have all of the sauerkraut juices in it to make it soggy. All in all - I would have 2 say 2 out of 10 is a fair and truthful rating. Stopped in for a quick bite and was so pleasantly pleased. The young woman who took our order was so patient and kind. Since we have never been there, she politely opened up the menu and steered us in the right direction. The plain hotdog had a good flavor, and the poppyseed bun was soft and very fresh. The chili on the 2nd hotdog was excellent in taste. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It can, however, become crowded quickly, so please have some patience. This place is so much fun. It's impossible to find gourmet hotdog places where I'm from and Mustards has so many options. I came here to eat the Chicago dog and the pizza puffs because it brings back the memories of my childhood in Chicago. So I came in August and tried something different a polish co sausage with grilled onions and mustard like we did in Ju town off of Halsted so when I get home to eat the thing is un edible so I called and told them how burnt it was and said next time you are in we will take care of it. Starting with the coronation of Holy Roman Emperor Max 2 a hot dog was given to the people in the event of an imperial crowning. Craving a dog, like a Grampus craves seals, I headed to the Eau Gallie location of Mustard's Last Stand (the name alone is worthy of 2 Stars). My conundrum today was going to be how does one rate a hot dog? The best damn dog I ever consumed was a Sabrett's in 1987. This guy had a cart in Canova Beach (there's a lost name) when I was a deputy and stopped to get a dog. One bite and I was hooked. The second best I've ever had was an Original Nathan's. I've just named two of the top four brands out there, the other two being Vienna All Beef and Hebrew National. The help today was outstanding. Both Trenton and Xavier were busting their respective tucheses. To mix it up a bit, I had to go with the Chicago Hot Dog and one Roast Beef Sandwich. My order was up in no time, and I got to work. One bite in, and I knew this dog was not one of the four mentioned above, or if it was, it was past its prime. It was, however, cooked properly and served in the traditional Chicago style--poppy Seed bun, peppers, green relish, fresh tomatoes, onions, dill pickle, and celery salt. The bun was fresh and warm. This would have been better had the base sausage been of higher quality. The Roast Beef Sandwich, while tasting fine had that rainbow slime on it that beef products get three days before it goes bad. The execution was outstanding and the flavors were there; however, I can't score it higher due to the meat situation. Great hot dogs and expensive tap water! I have always enjoyed their hot dogs, but after I was charged $8 for one hot dog and a cup of water, I went back through to ask if that was really correct (I was surprised when I paid but didn't really realize how crazy that was until I pulled away from the window.) I was told that the charge for the cup of ice water is the same as for the soft drink because they charge by the cup. That just does not seem right. read more

This place screams dive roadside stand that you will remember and crave, literally for the rest of your life. The menu, IS HUGE, I'm not counting but easily 100 ways to stuff your face and SO MANY VEGAN OPTIONS!!! They have the Impossible hot dog, the Beyond burger and even a vegan chicken nugget option!!! So, I walk in, there's a super nice woman on register greeting everyone and I can immediately tell it's her place, she just has the mom vibes- and I'm here for it. While I sat here (for an hour and a half) I saw probably a hundred people come and go, some enjoyed their dog slowly like me, some inhaled them, some just ordered fries but everyone and I mean EVERYONE was treated with kindness and they were all so happy with their food. Ordered food and waited 25 mins before having to go back inside to ask about food. 4 other group of customers came in after us, got their food and were already eating. Cashier said she had no idea why it was taking so long or why others got their orders before us. We had to ask for a refund. No apologies or explanation as why it happened. My first time at this location! The inside seems a bit smaller than the DT Melbourne one, but much more seating outside. Mustard's has that small town vibe with a timeless menu. I personally love This hotdog joint. We were pulling a trailer so we got this order to go, it was pretty fast for the amount of food we ordered. The hotdogs we ordered were chilli dogs and Chicago style. Both on point! I had quite the appetite so I also ordered the frito pie. Which was frito chips topped with chili, cheese and onions. My husband and I also shared cheese fries which were delicious and the order was more than enough! My ultimate favorite aspect was that they are taking eco friendly initiative with paper straws and wooden forks.
