Tawni greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome. We placed our orders and sampled the chili. Wow they were delicious. I love the corn dog breading and fries. The atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. The cooking pace never slows down so all the orders are always made fresh. read more

This place is so simple yet so good. I would say this place definitely gets passed by because of the way it looks on the outside located offDixon Boulevard in Cocoa. They have a couple seats inside that you can. And they also have a drive-through. They serve hotdog, french fries mozzarella sticks, ice cream and a variety of other things so there's something for everybody. They've been in Cocoa for a long time. It's basically a staple. Cute little spot to stop by and check it out. read more

Great for a quick value priced meal. Hot dog I had was a little grey, but the chili topper was excellent. Over all a decent chili dog, I'll be back to try a Chicago dog. I also had a gyro , it was pretty tasty but I probably won't get again. I would like to try a Philly so I'll give it one more try. Lots of locals. Staff is very nice. Atmosphere is greasy spoon . read more

Arbetter is an unpretentious place in Cocoa, Florida that offers a menu set around simple, fast food type items and are primarily known for their hot dogs. I headed over to Arbetter one rainy Sunday afternoon and pulled into this no-frills type place that is located next to the Boys and Girls Club on Dixon Avenue. The service was extremely friendly. Basically, you order at the cash register and serve it to you there at the counter. I opted for two hot dogs, one with chili, onion, and mustard and the other was their pizza dog. I opted to upgrade for their all-beef hot dogs and the total for these two hot dogs were under eight dollars. I asked for the brand of hot dogs, but they were uncertain. They were skinless and not bad. The hot dog with chili, onion, and mustard had a good amount of chili on it and the chili was made in-house and was good. You can tell this wasn't some cheap chili out of a can. The pizza dog was somewhat unique and topped with pepperoni. It was pretty good, though I woukd say that I preferred the hot dog with chili, onion, and mustard. Arbetter has been here for quite a bit of time and it is easy to see why the community has embraced Arbetter. The place is definitely a no-frills type place, but that is part of the charm. The hot digs are good and the service is friendly. If you are in Cocoa, Florida, check them out. read more

Got a chili dog. Was OK but needed cheese, will get one that way next time. Unpretentious little place with lots of locals visiting.

This place is interesting. The food is ok. Prices were ok. But why do we keep going? It is for the entertainment. The staff alone makes it worthwhile. If high school were a hot dog place, it would be called arbetter. read more

Popped up here for a quick bite for lunch. Swerved in the drive thru like a crazy hungry man... it's been a while since I last been here.. but I know this place been a lasting establishment since the 1980's. I just wanted a few beef hotdogs, so I ordered 2 Chilli dogs and 1 regular hotdog w/ relish, Ketchup and mustard... the dogs had some soft buns that I liked. Nothing too spectacular about the dog itself.. also had a small side of fries and onion rings. Everything was ok...wouldn't mind stopping back to try something different on the menu. I heard the shakes were slamming so I may come back to try the shakes. read more

Overpriced but pretty good. Also priced wrong on the menu. Wouldn't go again but not the worst.

Came here for lunch, first time. Was very affordable and quick to be made. Will definitly come back. Also the churros and ice cream was great. read more

Amazing place!!! Excellent service, they're known for their chili and it did not disappoint! I got a chili cheese dog and strawberry shake and my husband got a chimichanga hot dog, a chili taco & a peanut butter shake. We will definitely be back! read more

Went with some friends. It's a cute place. Not fancy but good food, if you like hotdogs and onion rings. They make good milk shakes too. It's worth a try. I'll be going back. read more

Great place. Always a nice time. Got just a classic hotdog and French fry for under $7. Extremely hot and fresh. This place is awesome.

Delicious inexpensive hot dogs. I recommend the chili cheese dog with onions. I've been going to Arbetter in Miami for 30 years and this tastes just as good. Very fast food ambience. read more

This place is a lot run down bot this hole in the wall has the absolute best hot dogs & ice cream! It has been around for a very long time.

Amazing hotdogs, best hotdogs in town. Forsure stop by if you are in the area. Service was good.

(Milkshake review) I've seen this place millions of times and overlooked it....it wasn't until two days ago I suggested my friend to grab a milkshake with me....she said I should try arbetters. I ordered their small strawberry shake which definitely seemed more like a medium. The shakes are very smooth and have bits of strawberry in them. You can also mix flavors together. They do have a functional drive thru, it may appear that it's not but it does work. read more

Definitely just a regular hotdog. The shakes are good tho. Other than that, Nothing special here. Great service too

I wanted to like this place. You see a sign in the window that says 5 dogs for 7 bucks, I want to jump on board. But there is nothing special about the hotdogs. Nothing... They are the hotdog you would boil or simmer in water and slap in a bun. Giving it a fancy title, don't make this a fancy hotdog. While I was not expecting a true Chicago Dog, the "Chicago-Style" Dog was not even close. Now I also got a polish sausage, and it was decent. I liked that far more than the dog. You want regular hot dogs? I guess this is your place as it is cheaper that Mustard's. But it certainly isn't cheap. Mustard's is far and away a better choice. read more

The traditional "hot dog" establishment used to be commonplace in every small town across America. Today, it's hard to find them, but they're out there, further complicating things is the fact, you can get a good hot dog at plenty of places that don't just specialize in hot dogs, which mean you must sell a dog that is considered "best in show" unleashing flavors and textures that are simply irresistible, if it isn't memorable chances are I'll forget you exist. Arbetter's Hot Dog, has been serving up piping hot, juicy hot dogs and chili dogs for years, this place is so nostalgic, especially for the locals who grew up eating hot dogs that were created out of passion, a passion that only the founder can bring every hour of everyday of every-week year after year after year. I'm sorry to say this kind of passion can't be passed down, duplicated, inherited or willed, it doesn't work that way with hot dogs or anything else unfortunately. I so wish I could have experienced Arbetter's when they were at the top of their game, trust me it pains me to be the one to inform those living on the memories of years gone by, this hot dog is not the hot dog that created those precious memories you hold so dear. It's understandable that many make excuses for this worn out shell of what I believe once must have been an unbelievable experience, but it's obvious that passion no longer opens these doors everyday and that can be extremely difficult for a community that has embraced such a iconic business to accept. There isn't much room in today's world for a business that ignores what's obvious to most and remain viable, I'm sorry I can't ignore the run down infrastructure or the aging direct food contact surfaces, the lack of food safety and cleaning programs. I know selling a low margin relatively narrow range of products leaves little room for capital investment, the food I was served was room temperature and that is unacceptable and has nothing to do with taste or quality, it's about microbiology and risk, I don't ever want to feel I got lucky when I eat anywhere, but when the food almost beats you to your table and isn't slightly warm that should raises a flag. I'm not over looking anything just because it's cheap, you can only survive so long on the coat-tails of past successes, you have to perform everyday in this results driven business environment. read more

I've been coming here since the early 1980's. Definitely love it. I cannot wait until next week. I is a family MUST while on vacation.

The best old school. My favorite around Cocoa. Chocolate milkshake is a must. Don't forget the fries!

Their chili dogs are some of the best around. Just tried their onion rings and while good, for $4, I was expecting more. I had two orders and the bags were the same. read more

Arbetter Hotdogs - "Large portion" of onion rings $4 - Hot Dogs Near Me - Cocoa, Florida

Arbetter Hotdogs- Cocoa - 4 Stars Simplicity at its finest. Do you ever get a craving for a real honest to Gdańsk Polish sausage? Well, the next time you do head on up to Arbetter's in Cocoa, FL. Any restaurant that has been in operation in the same place for over 30 years must be doing something right. I am here to assure you that Arbetter's is doing a lot of things right. First off, one should not be discouraged by the minimalistic approach they took to furnishing their establishment. While there is ample seating indoors, along with outdoor seating as well, the wall decor is not much to look at. It is nothing fancy to be sure, however; what they do is extraordinary. I approached the counter and was greeted enthusiastically by Alex and Ambrosia. Both were aptly named in my opinion as Alex was great in her service and Ambrosia was as pleasant as food from the heavens. Speaking of food from the heavens, or in this case European inspired, I ordered one freshly brewed unsweetened tea, one Polish Sausage with everything, and I mean everything on it (see the picture of the receipt, notice glorious grease stains) and one Italian sausage with onions and peppers in order to give the Axis a fair shake. My ever-present dining companion, my mini-me, ordered the childhood favorite of a hot dog with mustard. Ambrosia brought our food out with pleasure and obvious pride, as well she should. The Italian sausage was amazing. It was grilled to perfection so that it had a slightly crunchy skin and a juicy, tender interior. The onions and peppers were sauteed to perfection and added just the right amount of flavor to make it really pop on the palate while the bun was fresh and tasted previously unfrozen, they way they should always taste. The Polish Sausage? What can I say about their Polish Sausage that will adequately describe par excellence on a bun? The chef was showing us her A game for sure that day as the Polish Sausage was grilled to absolute perfection. You know when a meat tube with a natural wrapping is grilled to perfection as there is a slight "snap" when your teeth break through the outer skin and sink into the juicy meat hiding inside. I gleefully "snapped" my way through the whole shebang as fast as I could. By the time my attention was drawn back towards my partner in crime, her plate was spotless. I assume her hotdog with mustard was just as good as my sausages were as she met my gaze with a satisfied smirk and a smile in her eyes. Excellent hot dogs and fries. Do not judge the place by the way it looks. If you do you will be making a big mistake. Friendly employees and great food is what I have come to expect at Arbetter's. read more

I used to work here all the food is purchased from sam's club as well as the owner smokes in the office which is right next to the kitchen and brings his dog in there and he runs a muck in the kitchen very unsanitary also at night they package cooked fries and food and reserve the next day read more

Always great. Quick service and quality food choices when needing good old comfort food

This place defies the modern world...in a good way. Hasn't changed and nobody wants it to. Pure deliciousness..old school. From decor to the chili. Put chili and cheese on anything you get!! Love it. The proof is the beautiful reddish gold ring the chili/cheese leaves on the paper bowl. Mmmmmm! read more

Found this place by accident. Great chili cheese dogs and corn dogs. Highly recommend this little hole in the wall place.

The building is pretty run down but don't let that stop you from giving it a try. Their food is pretty tasty...Hot dogs, corn dogs, sandwiches, subs, ice cream, etc. One problem for me is they don't have a soda fountain. I saw them pouring a 2 liter into a styrofoam cup of ice...I like my fountain cokes. Make sure you try the chili cheese fries because they are my favorite. read more

Very friendly, but the hotdogs and fries were nothing special. Average at best. I paid less than $8 for a combo that included 2 dogs, a small fry and small soda. Probably wouldn't go back again. read more

If you're craving a good hot dog, then this is the place to go. We always take out and its always fast and delish! Whether you get a chili cheese dog or saurkraut, relish and onions, you won't be disappointed. I've been going there since the 70's and its still great!!! The staff is always so pleasant too. I give it a lot of thumbs up! read more

Already left a review in the tip section. in addition: hubs says the slaw on his dogs was delicious, but his were only lukewarm as well. Fish sandwich had too much odd flavored tartar sauce, fish itself was tasty...too much breading tho as 2 small filets were used for one burger sized sandwich and it too was lukewarm not hot. Fries could have been cooked a tad longer, tho they were crisp and hot. Again, the onion rings rocked. I will spend the extra couple bucks to eat all beef (always, never anything but) at Hot Dog Heaven in Orlando. DOES take plastic payment, it is NOT cash only... read more

I grew up in cocoa and would go here all the time as a kid. The food was amazing and great to get ice cream after a ball game. I brought my girlfriend to florida for the first time and of course wanted to show her my old favorite places. The location looked exactly the same as when I grew up. No updates but the food is and always has been amazing. If you drove by looking for something to eat and were not with someone who has been there you would probably just drive by. This is a great lesson in the old saying don't judge a book by its cover. read more

The best hot dog I ever ate their chili is to die for the owner move from Italy and ran a restaurant in Titusville for years before coming here he's been in business like 30 something years you've got to try this place if you love hot dogs read more

Pulling up I was surprised at the lack of attention to the grounds and building. That lack of attention continued on the inside with both the building and food needing attention. I ordered the hot dog combo which consisted of 2 dogs, fries and a drink for around $7. Fries were very good...hot with a good crispness to them. Same can not be said of the hot dogs. Hot dogs were warm at best....I managed to finish one dog but the other dog went into the garbage. Sonic and Burger King have better hot dogs. read more

It looks like the type of grassroots place that would be a hidden gem. Unfortunately, that's not the case. The hot dog meat tasted very cheap, like what you find at Dollar Tree. The staff made a mistake and blamed me for it -- I could even overhear them asking "what's his problem?" and similar unprofessional statements. The roll was wet and difficult to manage. Fries were OK but nothing special. I wouldn't come back. Even Sonic has a better dog. read more

So I have grown up on Arbetter's hotdogs. Maybe they helped shape my love for the hot dogs. I grew up in Cocoa so I would frequently come here for a hot dog, back when Dairy Queen was next door and then hop over for an ice cream. Things have changed since then but Arbetter thankfully has stayed the same. Nothing has changed about the place, which I personally love when I come back to visit. My best friend and I love coming here when I am in town as we both love the hot dogs, corn dogs, and onion rings. They even have a drive thru if you decide you are in a hurry or want to take your hot dogs to go. They do accept cash only which can be tricky in a time when I heavily rely on using my debit card. However, it is not too big of a deal as I can usually scrounge up enough cash or change to cover the inexpensive meal. If you like hot dogs, I suggest you give Arbetter's a try, just don't come here looking for anything fancy as they do what they always have, and they do it well. read more

Just a little dive. Run down building but don't be fooled. The hot dogs are AWESOME. FRIES ALWAYS FRESH FRIED. Do wish they would get a soda fountain too. Been eating here for 30 years and still continue driving 30 miles for a great chili dog. read more
