Musashi is so good every time. I moved away and come back and one of the one places I always crave is Musashi. Their salads are amazing, their soup is perfect, and their hibachi is always on point. They always have the best white sauce too. Their sushi is pretty good if you're wanting sushi as well. The ambiance is a little loud, but it's not like that all hours. Lastly, the service is great. They always have great staff and the owner is always working and ensuring that business is running smoothly. read more

Arrived at 5:30. Was seated fairly quickly. Waitress was rushing us to order. She was very friendly though and gave us ample time to look through the menu when she saw my frustration. When food arrived portions were ample but quality was below average. Over half of hibachi steak was fat and inedible and rice was mostly unseasoned and still white. Vegetables were very good. Chicken in yakisoba had an off taste and texture but noodles were very tasty. Checking out at register was very rushed with no eye contact and no asking of how was everything was. If you do come here order the filet hibachi for a dollar more and vegetable yakisoba noodles without mystery meat. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered the shrimp tempura udon (noodles) and I can not begin to describe how tasteless this dish was. You would think that they would be experts in noodles and that this dish specifically would have more taste, but it did not. This tasted like water and the noodles were over cooked and soggy. I tried adding some salt and pepper to give it some taste and eventually gave up as seen in this photo. The vegetables themselves tasted old and very much freezer like. The service itself is horrible as well. Took more than 15 minutes to even get our drinks and order taken. Would not recommend this location. read more

This was our first time trying this place as we just moved to the area. Our server (young blond girl) was VERY GOOD. She was prompt and friendly and knew the menu well. We had a Gyoza appetizer which was very good. I had the filet w/scallops w/white rice. My wife had filet w/fried rice. Food was prompt. My meat and scallops were cold but the rice was piping hot. My wife's meat was the same. Her fried rice was simply white rice with soy sauce on it and warmed on a grill with a little oil. Looks like shortcuts were made. I ordered crab tempura to go with my leftovers and it came out piping hot. All restaurants have off days, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and figure it's a staffing issue. I tried the new Bern roll and spicy tuna. It was decent price and pretty good. I also had the goyza dumplings. They reminded me of the store bought brand. The staff is amazing. The food was terrible. My husband ordered yakisoba. The noodles were not stir fry noodles they were straight up spaghetti noodles. It has no seasoning whatsoever. I ordered chicken teriyaki which came with a salad broth and fried rice. The fried rice had no flavor it was literally just sprinkles with soy sauce and left to fend for itself. I have never been so disappointed in a hibachi place. I grew up in Japan and sometimes I can be critical on certain things but man! the fact that none of us Could finish our food and had to pour garlic sauce all over it just hoping that it would taste better is honestly sad. The food was very chewy and bland. The only good thing was the salad because it was drenched in ginger dressing. Maybe they were having a bad night I don't know but I will never go there again. This isn't a typical Japanese restaurant where the chef comes out and cooks for you, although you can see them cooking your meal. Your party sits at a table and orders from a menu. To eat I had the teriyaki chicken and vegetables. It was delicious as always. Our server Jenna was great. She always is. Try the hot saki. This is also a great takeout place. First bite i took had a long black hair in it which i know isn't mine because i am very much blonde, and then i open my sushi and realize it is the completely wrong kind that i ordered. We came here with family. My dad ordered sushi which had very little variety and the fish was not well cut, it wasn't fresh either. My mom got chicken teriyaki, the chicken was premade, probably recooked and it was cut into small cubes. Mine was filet and scallop. They ask how cooked I wanted it but when it arrive to the table the meat was precut into pieces and the meat wasn't cooked the way I asked. The only good one was the seafood tempura that came with the seafood udon. Also they were sweeping the floor near us during the time we were eating. I am really giving this restaurant a 2.5 star. Sarah, my waitress was very nice and attentive. I arrived and the lady who sat me through my menu on the table and walked away. Then, I ordered a crab salad and sushi combo. The clear soup that I have had at probably 50 other Japanese restaurants was inedible. I literally could not eat it. It was disgusting. That has never happened. The ginger salad was good. The crab salad was not anything like I expected. It has no flavor at all. I am used to crab salads being delicious at these restaurants. The sushi rolls were chefs choice and surprisingly were not bad. Being a sushi fanatic I am surprised it was as good as it was due to the other terrible food. Place is pretty good, affordable hibachi without the show. You can see the chefs hooking it up still from a far, pretty cool. I enjoy it every time I go. Also ordered the Philadelphia role which had a dark dingy color and tasted worse than most gas stations I've been to. My main course was hibachi shrimp and chicken. The shrimp was very hard and salty and tasted like I just pulled it out from under a sand bar. The rice was bland and hard. The chicken wasn't the worst I've ever had but definitely could use some work. And the vegetables might as well have been slammed on the plate. They were not cooked and were raw! This place is a disgrace to Japanese food and would recommend to stay a mile radius away from this establishment. The only thing there that wasn't terrible was the service. For starters they use pictures showing them cooking in front of you, but when you came in that did not happen, they falsely advertise on there website. There Steak is overcooked and there fried rice does not taste good in the slightest. Also there sushi tastes bland and is very small and not worth it. Our server brought us water and menus right away (you have to ask for the sushi menu). A long time passed before she came back to take our order. We ordered the tempura appetizer, which was supposed to be shrimp and vegetables according to the menu. 10 piece sashimi plate for $15. Green River Roll (eel, avocado, and cucumber - 8 pieces) and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll, which were $4.75 each. Ordered chicken and salmon hibachi, which comes with fried rice and veggies for $14. The sashimi and rolls came out first. Only the salmon was really good from the sashimi plate, everything else wasn't fresh. Rolls were decent. Tempura finally came out... but this was supposed to be our appetizer. And it was all shrimp, no vegetables. Rather than light tempura batter, it was breaded almost like chicken wings. The hibachi plate took over 30 minutes to come out. Our server first came to apologize for the wait on the hibachi plate while we were eating. Then we were completely done with the other food and she came to apologize again and explained another large party's order had come in before us. Okay, cool... so your kitchen can't multitask. Then the manager came over to apologize for the wait and gave us a more detailed version of a large party ordering before us and their food was being cooked first. Over one single hibachi plate. If you kitchen can work on 12+ plates for a large party, surely they can work on just one more plate somewhere in there so my party of two wouldn't be completely done eating before the hibachi came out. But the manager was very insistent, "THEY CAME IN FIRST." Okay, I get it. I would have complained more, but that wouldn't have made that party not come in first, as the server and manager insisted. They did give us the entrée for free because we waited years for it... and it wasn't even very good so don't bother ordering hibachi because it's not worth the price or the wait. Heaven forbid you come in after a large party is seated. Even though there are limited sushi joints in the area, we will not be back here. I came here on a Friday night for dinner with a friend. It was pretty crowded, but we were seated immediately. The server was friendly and attentive, and our drinks, starters, and food arrived quickly. I had a house salad and sushi, and my friend had edamame, tempura vegetables, and veggie udo soup. The salad was chopped iceberg with a very nice ginger dressing. The sushi was wonderful--try the tempura shrimp roll, the spicy tuna roll, and the seafood roll. The tempura vegetables and soup were also first-class. Skip the edamame, though, unless you like yours well-done. This is not a steakhouse that gives you a floor show; it's a more of a typical sushi place: close-set tables and dividers with a separate sushi bar. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are much larger than at some other places. It's set in a former music/book/DVD store on a main highway, but don't let the strip-mall vibe fool you--there is some seriously good food here. P.S. First of all this place is dirty and it smells. Whenever I went in the service was terrible and the manager was going to every table and asking how their food was except for us (we are foreigners). He kept was giving us weird looks and kept chuckling to his workers. When I got my steak it was cold and the meat was red and bloody. The meat and shrimp we got were quite nice and we ate it all up very quickly. The sushi was actually pretty good. However, certain things weren't so great. The fried rice was overcooked and hard. The service was also rather strange. The waiter was barely audible and seemed to float around rather than stay in one place for very long. Overall, it was a nice experience.
