They were extremely friendly, and the nice lady at the front desk was so hospitable, and they clearly are very transparent. Because of their honesty, we took our vehicle in when one of the door handles randomly snapped off one day (really shouldn't do that on a 2016 vehicle). They were wonderful and kept us apprised of the progress and pricing every step of the way. We even had them perform our state inspection while they were at it, which was a great value. The staff was super friendly and helpful every step of the way and zigged when we zagged (it was a particularly bad week for cars for us). Everyone we encountered seemed very trustworthy, the price seemed fair and the finished product is perfectly acceptable. We will be using Christian Brothers for our auto shop needs in the future.

The problem was very obvious, and it was explained with great detail, and should not have taken so long. It was all just excuses. They also added a laundry list of problems they found and inflated the bill. They even made up a problem and tried to quote me $6000+ for repairs. I could buy a new car for this price, this repair is almost more than the value of the car. In the end, I paid $3300+ and I don't believe they did all the work they claimed. They charged me to change one of my fog lights and never did it too. This whole experience proved to me they have no integrity and make stuff up to suck as much money as possible out of the customer. They all had guilty smiles on when I was in their office paying. They tried to get me to pay for a large, non-critical repair. Going by the experience I had, I am suspicious they may have left things "loose" to create a car problem down the road. The car still has a rattle in it, and this was the reason I brought it in. In the end, I had to wait a week, waste money using Ubers, lied to, bill inflated, did not do all the work they listed, and possibly sabotaged my car to have failure later. This car is pretty new. I have been very gentle with it and always do regular maintenance. The car only has 70k miles on it. They essentially tried to con me. I am posting this so others can see what sort of tactics they use. I will be using a different mechanic and I am going to have this mechanic shop do an examination of the car. The car is fairly new. It should not have all these problems. Either they lied or created them and tried to suck $6000+ from me. Even the $3300+ I paid was ridiculous. EDIT: I am probably going to do a chargeback because I believe they frauded me. My car is worse off since they touched it. I came in for something that was more of a "noise inconvenience", not a major repair. When they came back to me and named a list of repairs, I agreed because I figured the car would be immaculate. This is not the case. My car is worse. They wanted to upsell me on more repairs and I declined. The noise is worse, I hear parts rattling. I am nervous now about my tire coming off the axle or some other major malfunction and it causing me to get in a major wreck. I know they will try to blame me. But you can simply check the miles when I went into their shop and the current miles it has now. Not even 500 miles have been put on it since. All local driving. The car had seemed perfect, it was clean, purred along the interstate during the test drive, everything worked as it should. Perfect! But I still needed to have it check out for peace of mind. From the initial phone call where they were able to get me in last minute to being greeted upon arrival, to the actual service, the entire process was top notch. As I looked around their office signs on how they conduct business were everywhere, from the honorary system of paying for the snacks to the mottos that hung on the wall exuding they were serious about integrity and honesty. And they were. From years of interviewing people for work you get a slight talent on how to read people. Actually, that was why I was there, I had a bad feeling from those that were about to sell me the car. I had detected a few non-verbal signs of deception that gave me pause. On the other hand, I felt the guys at Jerry DeLong Automotive are genuine, honest, good guys. Very important in a auto shop! And they didn't prove me wrong. Now for the bad news... When I returned (they paid for my ride back, too!) they showed me everything that was of concern with the car - and there was a lot. Seems the previous owner pushed the car to its limits. Leaks everywhere along with some other things. These repairs would of cost thousands in a year or two. The $90 (I used their Yelp discount) I spent there saved me thousands of $$$! Needless to say I didn't buy the car. The whole process was done with class, professionalism, and honesty. This was the worst experience I've ever had with an auto repair! When I brought my car in it was…read moreperfectly drivable but vibrating at rest. I was given a list of repairs to complete on my vehicle and I initially declined a transmission flush because my stepfather who is a mechanic in another city advised against it. Alan would not take no for an answer on this. After I expressed concerns multiple times, he assured me his mechanic said this service needed to be done. I hesitantly agreed to this and other repairs totaling $1900. When I picked up my vehicle it was no longer drivable, stalling every time I idled. They said I would have to pay $2500 for transmission repairs to make my vehicle drivable again (which I refused given the vehicle was not worth that much). The very first thing I found on Google is that it is NOT advisable to perform a transmission flush on a vehicle over 100k miles because it will worsen the problem and cause the vehicle to stall (my car had 160k). When I expressed frustration with this I was told my transmission was already shot before they began work and it wasn't their fault. So why did they advise me do nearly 2k worth of repairs knowing my vehicle would likely become completely unusable? Also, Alan was very aggressive, defensive and rude. I had to ask him multiple times not to raise his voice at me since I was not speaking to him that way. Clearly they either do not know the first thing about transmissions OR they maliciously did this flush in order to require me to pay an additional $2500 to get my vehicle working again. They did refund only the cost of the transmission flush but I am still out $1600 and have a car worth less than 1k after their service. I have been advised I could take them to court over this but decided I need the peace of just being done with this situation. Please don't trust these people with your vehicle!
