The store itself isn't the most organized or aesthetically appealing, it's a big melting pot of sports all in one place. Seek and find what you're looking for on your own, the staff is great at checking you out and stocking stuff but not entirely helpful at finding things or on the customer service side. No worries though, if you're at big 5 you probably know what you're there for anyway. My family and I ventured into this store for some sweet toddler kicks (shoes), and we left with faces and shoes aglow scoring some awesome spider man and frozen light up sandals! While I was waiting, a sales rep came in and she chose to prioritize meeting with the rep instead of helping me, even though she knew I was there and waiting. After standing around with no acknowledgment or update, I decided to leave. It was clear that helping a paying customer wasn't the priority. I ended up going to another ski shop down the street where I received great service and spent about $1,800. If you're serious about buying skis, you may want to consider a shop that values its customers' time.

Now let's begin, Check-in was fine, but things quickly went downhill. We were initially 3rd in line for the ski demo 'expert'. He seemed to be quite knowledgable to his credit and took his time with each customer. However, despite us waiting patiently, he started having people who arrived much later, cut in front of us. We somehow go from 3rd in line to being 16th. We stayed patient up until this point, until he got a little too excited with this younger girl behind us. This was the final straw. This is when I finally spoke up that we've been waiting a long time and needed to be taken care of first, when he got extremely salty. At this point his mood had shifted quite drastically. He starts by saying I notice you put 'Intermediate' as your ski level. For context, I was on the Mammoth Ski Team for 2 years when I was much younger. That being said, I hadn't skied in a few years by then and grew a few inches so I didn't remember my exact ski height. Continuing throughout our conversation, he says "Oh if you were an intermediate skier, you'd be able to know what your ski height is." Then proceeds to say this 3 more times throughout our interaction. The ski boot fitting station wasn't that helpful either as he had given me an ill-fitting boot that had a massive divot by the toe section. I proceed to hand it back and ask for him to get me a new pair after explaining the situation. And he blankly looks at me and asks if I need a new pair. This store was very disorderly and condescending. As an Asian customer, I feel like preferential treatment was given to others. This was not my interaction with Dustin (the owner that responds to these Yelp comments), but one of his employees.

They have the top of the line Burton boots and boards for rent and I don't want my kids riding the other garbage out there. You can only properly learn to ride with the best gear. Why would you try to go cheap on your gear? Prices are just as reasonable as everywhere else, but you get quality equipment. Thank you Leroy's. They also made sure my daughter's bindings were the perfect set up. Great service. It's our go to place for boards now. I didn't take a pic but believe me they are the best.
