This park is on a hill, and one part of the park is a small Long Leaf Pine Forest, the other part a park with a memorial, veterans fountain, and benches atop a hill overlooking Mobile Bay. I did see one or two cars parked along the park for free, and I did not see any no parking signs, but I think most people that visit either park at Fairhope Municipal Pier or at Fairhope Municipal Beach at the bottom of the hill. There are no restrooms or playground (s) at this park, it is more devoted to nature, but restrooms, BBQs, and picnic tables are available downhill at Fairhope Municipal Beach. Most of the people I saw at or around the park were walking for exercise or walking thier dogs, like myself. Quiet and beautiful.

if i could leave zero stars i definitely would... i rented the big pavilion for my gender reveal…read morefor august 29th & they approved it august 11th along with confirmed the payment was received, i get there yesterday to start setting up & they had gave our reservation to another family i just so happen to know from out of state that had just gotten here 2 days prior, they then tried to tell me i never paid for it when i showed proof in my account that i had paid for it aswell as a confirmation email that they only send after they've received the payment. they then proceeded to just not at all accommodating me & i ended up having to have my gender reveal UNDER THE BATHROOMS under the concrete slab. i'm beyond pissed & they ruined my entire day, i cried almost my entire gender reveal because my decorations couldn't even come out right because the space was literally horrendous. i had 2 tables for EVERYTHING i had to set up, & only had AT MOST 10 chairs for a party of 60+ people to "sit in".... i will NEVER rent this space for another important event.

Ah the great outdoors. Five Rivers is FREE and open to the public. Seven days a week. It's a hidden…read moregem off The Causeway in Spanish Fort. The hiking trails are beginner and each one is 10 - 15 minutes. It's also a great place to ride a bike, there is a paved road with very little traffic. Along the walk path are benches and maps. And come on, it's the Great outdoors, bring your camera, Fido or Fefe. There's a wonderful nature Center and a very nice gift shop. Let's not forget the staff/volunteers are very friendly and last, but certainly not least, clean restrooms. So if you're in the area check out Five Rivers. Adventure awaits.

After the cancellation last year it was a beautiful night that we were able to get out and meet up with friends and neighbors as meet some great folks. The park is…read moresituated on Coden Road and it is the only thing separating the park from the water, I was able to sit and enjoy the wonderful cool breezes from the water. This park is off the beaten path, it has portable toilets instead of permanent restrooms. There are six pavilion ms with picnic tables, trashcans, water faucets, and electric light switches that includes two AC outlets to charge your phone, plug in a radio, etc. There are no BBQ pits at this park, so you will need to bring your own portable grill. There is a playground set back far from the road, has newer playground equipment in good conditions plus swing sets. The park also has walkways, a basketball court, and a large open green space directly behind the playground.the park had two small sized parking lots, one by the entrance, and one next to the playground.

These are just a few of the majestic and breathtaking birds that I saw when visiting the Audubon Bird Sanctuary on Dauphin Island near Mobile, Alabama. If you are a birdwatcher, or if you just love nature and walking along wooden footpaths through groves of trees and lagoons covered with lily pads, you'll enjoy spending some time here. I walked for an hour with my binoculars, listening and looking for birds. I saw birds that I knew, and birds that I've never seen before. I stood and gazed at the lagoon and lily pads, enjoying the quietude of nature and water. I walked through the shade of trees, listening the the hum of silence broken only by birdsong. Birding is a peaceful hobby. It's about listening, looking, and patience. Being at the Audubon Bird Sanctuary gave me the sense of peace and calm that only nature can provide.

From there, descend a wooden stairway down to the beach and water. There is a second wooden deck halfway down the stairs with benches where one can stop, rest, & look out at the water. The hillside surrounding the stairs is covered in vegetation, probably kudzu, but I could be wrong. Beautiful breathtaking views. However, I came very early in the morning, most likely at high tide, plus we had storms + flood advisories that week, so the water had come all the way up to the very bottom of the stairwell, so no beach access that morning. If that happens, May Day Park & Belrose Park are also nearby with beach and water access. There are No Parking signs all near McMillian Bluff entrance, streets are very old, narrow, & in residential areas. Please be aware.
