    This space is awesome.

This place is SO cool. Like... wow! I had heard of container parks but didn't know about this one just outside Mobile until it was suggested to us. (They are literally shipping containers made into a park!!!) We stopped by to kill some time and were greeted with beer samples from Terrapin, a cocktail of the day for $3.50 at the bar, and they were setting up for music and fireworks that night (July 5). (We just missed happy hour.) The space is SO colorful and fun, and there are a variety of food options. I was about to head to dinner plans elsewhere, so I didn't eat anything, but the drink I had was good, and the service was friendly. If you want a nice place to hang out and some fun foods to try, you've got to check this place out. What a truly hidden gem. I would love to see more of these pop up elsewhere. Note: there is plenty of parking nearby.

The Fort was an awesome experience! I love the open outdoor seating which is socially distanced. There is a nice play area for the kids and beautiful fountains. Great place to have an outdoor birthday party. So many nice places to eat and drink. I tried the Easy Rider burger at Bleus Burger spot and it was pure heaven to my taste buds. I can wait to return to try some other places in the park.

My first visit here was for a Yelp event and I'm glad I finally got here after reading some really good things about it from my fellow Yelpers. I dig this place because it's a great concept and well executed. Like "The Gulf" in Orange Beach it's big steel shipping containers that have been repurposed and decked out as restaurants and bars. While I would rather see the location near the water rather than on the edge of a shopping mall however to their credit they positioned it in a hill and done well to isolate the overall looks and views so you do kinda get an outdoorsy feel about it, so nice job with maximizing the space. I especially appreciate the open air live music, fires and big screen TV where you can kick back and relax with your favorite food and/or beverage and just chill. It's also good to bring kids because there's a nice playground for the with a fun looking splash pad where they can frolick and get wet. Seating is a bit limited, which could be an issue if there's heavy traffic, but there's plenty of picnic tables and covered seating in a large pavilion with restrooms. Here's an issue, the single person restrooms are spread out and a little difficult to locate and the worse part, the one that I uses smelled funky, was kinda stark and needed cleaning. It made me look at the place in a more critical way because I had to wonder who was in charge of such things. I mean some of the "containers" have multiple businesses in one unit and the rest room is on an outside corner isolated and not clearly a part of any specific business. In other words the rest rooms are, like much of the property, more of a common area. I didn't notice anyone doing any maintaining of the common areas but I assume that falls to someone, just curious. But moving on .... The businesses inside the park include; Tap Station Craft Kitchen, Beakers Coffee / Sno Biz, Bleus Burger, Dragonfly Taco Bar and Happy Pizza. Now there's no doubt that Bleus Burger make a mighty fine burger and I recommend this locally owned gourmet craft burger bar for sure but I discovered a couple terrific new taste sensations on this adventure. Pizza on a cone and crawfish on my pizza pie!!!! Indeed Happy Pizza and the owner Steve was a real treat. We started out with the French fries topped with crab & crawfish, very tasty but them we dig in to our pepperoni pizza cones, yep pizza dough shaped like ice cream cones, baked nicely with all the pizza fixing inside both tasty & quite delightful. After we finished we were met by Steve the owner who asked us if we'd like to try his special Happy Pizza and while reluctant we all said YES ;-) Minutes later he brought out a while pie that contained a few slices of pepperoni and the rest was crab & crawfish pizza. He suggested some sirachi which I took him up on and it absolutely terrific. Afterwards he asked if we would like to leave our email addresses because he is in the process of opening a cajun restaurant nearby and he wanted to keep us up to date, of course we handed them over and are looking forward to checking that out as well as returning to this place in the near future. Yes Happy Pizza is a another locally owned business that has got it going on!! Back to "The Fort", there's lots of parking across the street and pets are welcome in non-food areas of the park, however speaking of non-food areas, I was a bit turned off when an employee at a bar barked at me about my vape as I was walking to find a restroom. It was especially curious since I wasn't inside their establishment and I was outdoors on a sidewalk just passing by, but I will leave the subject without further comment. (as a former smoker & now vaping I fail to understand the issue with releasing propylene glycol into the open air, I mean it's the exact stuff used on fog machines and well fog machines are cool, but there I go actually commenting LOL) NOTE: The Fort is open 11am-10pm on Friday & Saturday & 11am-8pm the rest of the week but cosed on Mondays! Bottom line: The park is a 3.5 star, and Happy Pizza & Bleus Burger gets 5, I haven't tried the other establishments but the concept is good and it's definetly with checking it out.

Oh we love this place! Only been here once, but before this I did not even know this place existed! The selection of food and drinks is pretty amazing! The prices are not bad at all. There's definitely a little something for everyone, plus it's fairly kids friendly! Which is a plus for me with a toddler. There's a pretty decent size playground nearby for all sorts of ages!! Toddlers to middle schoolers. It's close to stores like JCPenney and Kohl's, so if the kids/dads were hungry or want to go somewhere else, while the mom shops, it's a nice escape.

What a great place for the whole family! What is it exactly? Think food trucks setup around a park, except they're shipping containers. There's a pond, cornhole boards, fire pits, and plenty of area for kids to run and play and burn off energy. They even have local bands playing there on occasion. I totally love the concept of this place! There are about 8 different food containers, including Soul Bowlz, Dickey's BBQ, Bleus Burgers, Dragonfly Taco Bar, Deuce Coup (chicken and waffles), Beakers Coffee and Sno Biz, Happy Pizza, and the Tap Room. Some have their own patio seating, and there are plenty of picnic tables scattered about. They have heaters and fire pits for the chillier nights. Pets are welcome in the park section but not in the picnic area or near the food.

Great experience at The Fort! We were passing through the area and stopped on a whim. I'm so glad we did. The area has a great playground and a splash pad. Plenty of picnic tables for seating and several options for food. No indoor seating. I opted for the tacos at Dragonfly Taco Bar because I love their location in Fairhope. The quality was spot on and they had really great prices on their daily specials. I tried one of each of the daily specials and shared with my daughter. We both agreed that the top sirloin was our favorite, but the sweet chili glaze with chicken and the swordfish with dill slaw were also amazing. Definitely planning on future visits, weather permitting.

The Fort Container Park was on my list of local attractions to visit while vacationing in the area. We went at night and walked with our puppy and enjoyed some Dutch ice cream and gourmet coffee. They have pizza and other eateries and stands. There was music playing, water fountains with lights and a projector outside playing the football game. I wish they had better food options but nonetheless we had a nice little evening out.

I've been wanting to come to The Fort for a looonnngggg time and we finally made our way over. Hidden by the shops near the interstate, The Fort is truly a hidden gem. This place has a unique concept of food truck style restaurants based out of shipping containers. There is definitely a variety of food choices that should please everyone, seating is open so you don't have to feel limited to one place if everyone in your party can't agree. I love that this place is family friendly but also caters to adults too, boasting plenty of bars and TVs if you're trying to catch a game during a family outing. We stopped at Dragonfly first as we have been to the one in Fairhope, they have crazy good tacos. We went with the turnip fries, which, I promise are delicious despite the fact that they are turnips. They also had some great drink specials, which I think change throughout the week along with food specials. There was Harry Potter trivia taking place at the open area nearby, which was fun to play along with unofficially. My fiancé was feeling a burger, so after Dragonfly we walked over to Bleu's Burgers, and dang they looked good! He was pleased with his burger (sadly I don't remember which one) and the truffle fries had a nice flavor. I can't wait to return and check out the other places that the Fort has to offer!
