We stopped here just to walk along the boardwalk and maybe see a gator or two The boardwalk is constructed from treated lumber that is past its prime. There are lots of board that are popping up. Both the railing and flooring deck We unfortunately didn't see any gators today, but that is ok. It is a nice walk, except for the uneven deck boards.

Pretty cool little boardwalk area to view alligators. During our walk we only saw two of them, I am sure there were more hiding in the weeds. I gave this area 3 stars due to the trash people throw down in the area. The trash bins were full as well. I found myself picking up the trash along the way. Come on people!!!!!

If you appreciate chocolate milk-colored waterways, oil slicks along the sidewalk, enjoying the great outdoors while 5-feet under a busy overpass infested with thousands of wasp nests, and seeing no gators, I highly recommend visiting in January.

Didn't see any Gators. Just a lot of graffiti and trash. Boardwalk is a strong word for this place. Really needs some maintenance.

Nice little place in Daphne off of the highway. The warmer it is, the better your chances of seeing a gator. They come on the rocks or close to the water surface to sun themselves. Right now (May 2022) is a good time to see the gators when it is heating up outside, they love it. I see a lot of families with kids checking out gators and other travelers staying in the nearby hotels. There is a parking lot, but no restrooms, there is a gas station a very short distance from the parking lot on Main Street. I never had any luck seeing gators when I came here before in October, December, & February, so take advantage of it. I usually see a lot of Gulf Coast Box Turtles swimming as well. This is also a good bike trail.

Wow! The City of Daphne put some time and money into this and it looks beautiful! That nice paver parking lot complete with handicap spaces is a much needed improvement over the old gravel lot. The new ponds and landscaping are just gorgeous, and I love the plaque explaining the ecosystem. The boardwalk itself - they are replacing the planks and railings as needed, and also repairing sections of the fences that were in bad shape. They've cleaned up most of the brush and there are still a few picnic tables scattered about the property. The place really looks awesome! The gators must be loving their renovated pad because they were out greeting us today. There's almost always at least one or two out in plain view in the summer months, and we can sometimes spot three or four out lurking in the tall grass or cruising through the creek. There's a big one, I'd say at least 10' long, that hangs around a lot. My favorite is a little guy that can't be much more than 4'. He's missing an arm because, as the story goes from a guy who supposedly saw it happen, someone threw a marshmallow down and a larger gator went to get it and ended up snapping his arm off in the process. True or false? Who knows, but don't feed the gators folks! There are plenty of fish and turtles in the water for them to eat. Not to mention, they become aggressive when they get used to people feeding them. That's why there are signs up that say "Do not feed the alligators." This is a beautiful place to take a walk and enjoy nature. If you're in the area, stop by. It's a free attraction!

Gator Alley Boardwalk is always an enjoyable time to spend with family and the local gators. Our children love watching the gators hangout by the boardwalk. It's also a nice walk to enjoy the beautiful weather and it doesn't cost anything to park or enjoy the scenery. The City of Daphne did a great job with this!

We have been coming here every year for the past 4 years. We finally got to see some gators this year. My 6 year old was really excited to see them. This year all construction was finally finished.

We saw several turtles , fish , and one alligator. It was a nice place to spend about an hour.

Nice little break to get out and stretch your legs. We were able to see one alligator. Very clean boardwalk.

We didn't see any gators. It's a cool boardwalk though. I've heard it can be a cool place to see gators

Ask the Community - Gator Alley Boardwalk

How often is the gator seen at this place just moved here?

We have seen a gator every time we have gone. We have been 5 or so times. We usually go in the afternoon between noon and four. Sometimes you can find a gator within the first few minutes. Other times it’s takes up to an hour to spot one.

I really like this park, it is awesome. The only thing that sucked was whoever was at Doyle Park…read morethe day before had a birthday party, and had trashed the playground and picnic table area nearby. A city employee was cleaning the area by the time I left. The park and playground has an airplane theme, complete with signs that identify the type of planes taking off from the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley next door to the park. I saw three different planes take off in the short time I was there, it was awesome, there are benches where you can sit and watch the planes. This would be great for kids. The playground looks cool. THIS PARK HAS RESTROOMS THAT ARE OPEN. There is also a bike trail, I saw at least ten different couples using it. I walked some in the bike trail with my dog, the bike trail comes up onto Perimeter Ave, then veers off again by the Mobile Aeroplex. Two baseball diamonds, one for little league and a football field. These bleachers are in full sun, unlike most of the bleachers in Mobile Parks, so bring a hat, umbrella, and sunscreen if you are going to watch a game. It looks like the football field also doubles as a soccer field, there was a net up at the goal post. There is a fitness trail. Nice and quiet. I only saw the bicyclists and two different groups with dogs. FYI, I saw people with large dogs running free, but those dogs came nowhere near me with my leashed dog. Be aware that lots of people in Mobile bring dogs unleashed to parks, this is not the first time I saw this and I have visited nearly every park in Mobile. This park is off the beaten path, but if you need a store for anything, there is a Piggly Wiggly nearby on Dauphin Island Parkway and various little stores and gas stations all the way up to Government Street at least a few miles away. The did see a Hart's Fried Chicken on Dauphin Island Parkway at least a mile or two away. But overall, we loved this park, nearly all parks in Mobile ate wonderful.

I like the park. It is very nice . The only complaint is that the toilets were completely clogged…read moreup in one of the bathrooms. So there was only one side that was usuable.I have seen people drive on the grass up to the shelterhouse that they are using .I didn't think that we were allowed to drive on the grass. We were at a shelterhouse on Sunday and after we had already been there for awhile a lady came over saying that she had reserved it for the time that we were already there. We would like it that if a shelterhouse is reserved that it would have a sign to tell people ahead of time.
