In 1986, we purchased four plots and a few years later purchased two additional plots in the Prayer I garden. When visiting today, we were appalled at the condition of this "perpetual care" cemetery. There is no grass and huge cracks in the soil in more than 50% of the cemetery, headstones are sinking and there is no water turned on to water plots and/or clean headstones. I looked at the advertising photos on their website and they are not at all representative of the current condition of the cemetery. The open air chapel no longer exists and hasn't for more than a year or two, although it is highlighted in several photos. There is currently no grass in the areas shown in the photos. I am investigating ways to report these ways to city and county personnel as well as in regulating agencies.

She took care of requesting the military flag presentation service, catering arrangements, flower arrangements, ordering death certificates, cremation arrangements, and a whole list of other items. We decided to use a large photo instead of displaying an urn during the service, and Becca was able to locate and let us borrow the perfect picture stand. It was really nice to know that someone else was thinking of all the small details during a time of grief when it was difficult for my family to focus on event planning. Their website's online obituary (aka Everlasting Memorial) allows you to upload photos of your loved one that recently passed away. Those photos are then used to create a slide show that can be played during the funeral service. The slide show comes with somber default music, but you can also provide your own music specific to your loved one. My family received multiple compliments on the quality of the slide show. You can also request additional DVDs of the slide show (potential fee), and a custom sticker will be added to the face of the DVD with your loved one's picture on it. The facility is very clean and welcoming, and my family was very impressed with the services they provided. They are also very community-focused. Becca explained that if there was food leftover from the reception that the family didn't want to take home, then she would bring the leftovers to a nearby fire station. If there were any flowers that the family didn't take home, then they would bring the flowers to a nearby hospice or hospital to brighten their day. I would definitely recommend using Rolling Oaks, and specifically recommend working with Becca.
