Previously, I have this place a less than stellar review due to the behavior of an employee. That being said, I acknowledge this is not indicative of the intended experience as a whole and was reached out directly by the owner to help remedy the experience. Since then, I had visited Mugs Three times over and even brought a partner to enjoy the cafe and ambience. Shrek the movie was playing on the TV! Alongside good ambience and a solid atmosphere, the coffee was stellar (Mexican mocha, coffee (with espresso shots included) & banana horchata were all great choices! I especially love their spinach Parmesan, Onion, and limited time Ube bagels! I would reccomend this place soley based off the food, but am happy to report a thoughtful owner and solid food options. read more

Visiting from NY again and needed our coffee/ tea fix. Mugs Coffee is great. My hubby is a coffee drinker and- he loves all the blends and coffee drinks here. I myself is for the matcha and ube infused bagel.. Their food was good, , bagels close to NY bagels. Service was great had a server - Rachael , super sweet and courteous, and new everything about all the drinks and recommended great ones to us. Will come back again. read more

All the young ladies who served us were friendly, warm, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor (I told her my name was Vegas and she said my girlfriend's name must be Nevada). Amazing. The food was SO good. I did not expect food from a "coffee place" to be this good. But this is NOT just a coffee place. It's a full on dining experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their pizzas look amazing! The music in the restaurant is at a perfect level, not too loud, but just loud enough so you can hear it, but you don't have to shout across the table at you partner. Mugs took over the old Bagelry and Brew location, but they still serve coffee drinks, pizza, and bagels. I dropped by for breakfast on a weekday, and it was busy. Still, service was friendly and quick. I had the vanilla cream latte and a New Yorker lox bagel sandwich. Both were delicious. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables both inside and outside. Many people were there enjoying breakfast and chatting. Like the old restaurant, they close early, at 2 PM. I wish they were open late because I think they'd make a great study spot. Definitely a good place to grab breakfast or for an early meet up. read more

We use to come here when it use to be Sal's Bagels and hadn't been back since we moved from La Verne. To our surprise a MUGS opened up here. They still serve bagels!! Customer service was very nice! The place was clean. There's a drive thru as well. We ordered: Horchata Latte and the Olla Latte...both were delicious!! We also ordered some chocolate chip cookies for our kids. I had a disappointing experience here. I went through the drive-thru and ordered two coffees: an ube iced latte and a Mugs Mexican Mocha latte. When we got our order, only one of the two drinks was correct. I went inside to politely let them know about the mistake, but instead of trying to help, the manager immediately said, "Well, it says iced latte," because the employee at the speaker had repeated the order back. It felt like he was implying that I was wrong or lying about what I ordered. I even brought the incorrect coffee back completely full to the rim, so it was obvious I hadn't been drinking it just to get a free replacement. Mistakes happen, and I understand that, but the way the situation was handled was disappointing. A little kindness and better customer service would have gone a long way. read more

I stoped by for a coffee but this location also has breakfast sandwiches! Definitely did not disappoint very tasty! I tried the meat lovers bagel sandwich on jalapeño cheddar bread and it was so tasty. Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu read more

Drink was very good, though could have been hotter, mine was very warm but cooled down fast. Ambiance: old, dark, some parts of the place had minimal lighting, and the interior still looks like the old place, including the worn and torn banquettes, the rips were taped over and looked very bad. It's a new place that took over and old place and really needs to rip out the old stuff to make it more appealing. This place is a mess. So I came here all the time before Mugs and the new orders took over. Went through the drive through and for my order no problem. When mugs took over they gave me attitude to give me my normal order and said "we don't do this anymore but will for our regulars" okay... then I go through the drive thru again and they said I can't order my usual sandwich just a plain bagel. The new owner or manager greeted me after their employee told me I have to order online. Even with talking to the manager/owner, he provided no sense of customer service. Hope he can figure it out soon. I go on their website and it's not up to date. You can't order anything but basic stuff unless I go on DoorDash pick up and pay 15-20% more. No thanks! Don't tell me with attitude to order online if it's not even working lol. Coffee and bagels are good but can't recommend this place between the prices and lack of accuracy and customer service. Coffee was 10/10. Pizza Bagel was 0/10. Tasted worse than the ones you pull out of your freezer, ingredients seemed way off (not fresh). Jalepeno Cheddar Bagel 6/10. Good/Solid, not the best. They never made it fresh came out of a pitcher After this happened twice and I got I heartburn that lasted beyond 24 hours I have never suffered from heartburn before this place I have decided.
