I came here because I saw another post saying to come and get your car hooked up. They hooked it up, it ran almost as good as it did when it came off the lot. If you're in need of car service this is your place read more

A very disregarded area of an automobile is the undercarriage. In particular - mufflers, tailpipes, catalytic converters, headers, hangers, brake lines, or anything exhaust related. It's one those things that you don't know you have a problem until you 1) hear it or 2) see it on the ground or 3) recognize somebody stole it (more on this later). Either way, the pros at Muffler King got you covered end to end. My reason for needing Muffler King was due to some as*hole attempting to steal my catalytic converter. I guess their sawzall or grinder ran out of battery power and they bolted. Apparently, catalytic converters are worth a pretty penny - well the precious metals inside it are. They're manufactured with rhodium, palladium, and platinum as they are a catalyst for breaking down hydrocarbons, NOx gases, and carbon monoxide which are all exhaust products of burning gas. Anyway, unbeknownst to me, I had been driving around with the damn catalytic converter hanging by a rat terd piece of weld. Finally I hit a speed bump and my car started sounding like an infinite elephant fart. I circled back around near the speed bump and saw my catalytic converter on the ground like it pulled a hamstring or an ACL or something. I let converter cool down and then scooped it up for reattachment later. Well Muffler King set me straight. They advised me to get a new converter but then they said it was a one month lead time on it. So I opted to reapply the old one which they did at no cost since I got some other undercarriage work done (new hangers, new pipe between muffler and converter, and cleaning). I highly recommend Muffler King AND booby trapping your car for catalytic converter thieves. read more

Shar and Tony at Muffler King helped diagnose a rattling under my hood. They were especially meticulous about identifying the issue and I was able to move on from there. Their diagnosis was done at no charge. I will definitely return for any exhaust issues in the future. read more

Don't trust this muffler shop they stole my catalytic converter on June 17th 2025 horrible don't go there

I found an honest mechanic in Atlanta! And one who takes the time to explain things. Big shout out to Marvin and Pablo at Muffler King on Moreland Ave. I have an old KIA sportage 2006. Transmission started acting up driving from Daytona to Atlanta. We thought we had fixed issues before embarking on the trip by replacing the speed sensors. Worked like a charm for about 100 miles, then suddenly didn't. Don't know anyone in town so just went to first shop closest to Autozone. Marvin and Pablo attended to me. They did not trust the Autozone's diagnosis and wanted to do a deeper diagnosis, for which they would charge me $85. That sounded fair, and I left the car there. Next day Pablo called me with bad news. I went to see him in person. There, in much detail, he explained what he believed was wrong with the car. Bottom line it was not the sensors, nor the transmission fluid or filter. He said we'd have to put in a new transmission (or a used one) but did not recommend doing so. He'd also detected some problems with the engine misfiring. He would charge me around $300 to replace any used transmission I found, but again, thought the resale value of the car did not warrant that. He refused to take any money for the diagnosis, nor for his time. He was just sorry he could not give me better news. He said if I disagreed with his view of the engine's condition and wanted to replace the transmission anyway, he'd be happy to do so. I really appreciate his honesty and the time he took to explain things to me. I will use this mechanic again when I'm in Atlanta. ps. I'm stubborn and probably will put a rebuilt transmission in there. I think I can get another100k out of the engine. Car, if fixed may only have a resale value of around $1500, but if it gets me around for another year or two I prefer that over $400-500 in new car payments and higher insurance costs. My mechanic in Daytona thinks cars, with proper maintenance, are eternal. His own has 400k miles on it. read more

Very poor service and communication. I asked Rubin who is one of the workers there on what would be a good time to stop by to get a muffler welded on and when I arrived at that time he proceeded to say he cannot do the work anymore because he is booked up read more

I needed a Catalytic Converter shield installed on my '08 Prius because we've had a series of thefts in my neighborhood; dealership quoted me $750 and 7 hours to get it installed but on the rec of a neighbor I came to the Moreland Muffler King instead; they did it for $200 in about an hour. Not only that, they sent me to Ace to get different, hardier rivets so it would make it more sturdy and easier for future service. Would DEFINITELY recommend. Can't seem to get them on the phone but I showed up early in the morning and got taken care of right away. read more

Please stay away from here! I went for catalytic converter job and had to continue to go back because the service engine light continued to illuminate on. When I went back for the 3rd time the manager told me he could not fix but wouldn't give my money back! I threatened to call the police and that is when he decided to refund my money! Save your time and money. read more

Brought in my car and my own axle back for an axle back install the other day. They quoted me for the service and then while installing, it was realized that the axle back system I brought in was defective and did not properly fit my car. Without charging me extra, they cut up the axle back and welded it to custom fit my vehicle. The fitment turned out great. The owner and the workers were all really helpful and kind. Thanks for the service! read more

I thought my vehicle needed, perhaps a clamp for the muffler or exhaust because I was hearing a rattling sound. They took my vehicle into the bay. Assessed the vehicle and found nothing and we're honest enough to tell me that, instead of some other places that I feel would've tried to cheat me into repair that I truly didn't need. I 100% respect that, and if in the future, I do need any repair work for my muffler or exhaust Muffler King will be my go to. read more

Wonderful service! Quick and efficient. Kept me informed of what was going on--even showed me--and of what the cost would be. Didn't get the mechanic's name, but I give him highest marks. Charlie, the owner, is a genuinely friendly guy. It was a pleasure dealing with him. From my experience, this is the place to go for exhaust service! I imagine all they do is high quality! read more

My catalytic converter was stolen so had to find a local place to get it replaced. Got it there first thing in the morning and they had it back by mid-afternoon. They were super-friendly and helpful. I had trouble getting my truck started when I picked it up and they knew exactly what the problem was and were nice enough to help me get it going again. I would definitely recommend these guys. read more

I was referred there by Roger Jordan garage due to catalytic converter issues. Charles was totally open and honest. They told me a catalytic converter would be either 370 or 425 depending on Honda CRV model. The guy even quoted me the cheapest price ($370) because he didn't want to upsell me. They had the car done in one day! Great service, great price, and great people. I DEFINITELY recommend this place! read more

The owners and employees here are great. They're very friendly, reasonably priced, and have always taken care of me and my vehicle. In the couple of times I've had to visit them for a check engine light and exhaust issue, I've usually been in and out within 1-2 hours and for a great price. I've had other shops try to sell me everything but the kitchen sink. Muffler King didn't and they actually diagnosed the issue correctly unlike the other shops. I highly recommend. read more

This place is great. Now I've been meaning to review this place for a a while now. Its a great car repair place. We needed catalytic converters replaced the first time we came and David (runs the shop) was so great. He explained that the reason why we kept hearing a ticking noise while we were driving was because of bad catalytic converters. He told us the cost and it was a fair price. They had our car ready on the exact date given and I really appreciate that considering how some of these places tell you it'll be ready on a certain day and then call you and tell you a whole other day and waste your time. We came back again for a spark plug replacement and again the service was great. read more

Poor service quoted me at a price then changed the price. A businessman should always stick to his original price not give me the runaround when it's time to do the work read more

I took in my Acura TSX to have the brakes inspected due to a squealing noise and some suspension issues. David showed me the uneven wear on the brake rotors and immediately pointed out the cause of the suspension issues. David is a fellow mechanical engineer and automotive inventor--extremely knowledgeable would be an understatement. He clearly explained the repair options and the associated costs. The repairs were quick and thorough. The waiting room also features a full office desk with fast, free WiFi service. This is an incredible place to catch up on office work, while waiting for repairs. I may start searching for automotive issues, so that I can catch up on work without the distractions of my office. I will definitely be back. read more

The Good: Reasonable pricing, and have done a good job for me the two times I've used them. The Bad: Neighborhood isn't good, and operator can be a little prickly at times, but understandable considering some of the clientele he deal with. Also, get there early because the book up fast. read more

Took my car in to have the exhaust looked at due to rattling underneath the car. Car was put on rack immediately and I was given options on how to fix the car. Decided to fix broken brackets, do exhaust repairs and replaced rusting performance muffler with a standard muffler and new tailpipe. Repair cost, muffler and tailpipe was less than a 1/10th of what the Nissan quoted me. My car is nice and quiet and not rattling anymore. Terrible service and no accountability. They replaced my clutch after a month but some how screwed up my RPM gauge. My mechanic recommended them for muffler service on my VW 2 years ago and that worked out well. So I returned for exhaust system replacement on my old Ford Explorer last week and that was even better! They realized that since it no longer requires emission testing [being past 25 years old], the catalytic converter could be removed rather than risk possible engine damage when it goes bad. Great idea! After new pipes, new muffler, and no catalytic, it runs better than ever - like having an engine overhaul / super tune-up. They've done right by me twice now [plus a little extra in each case], and for a reasonable price! read more

My car suddenly got very loud a few weeks ago. Muffler King came recommended by another repair shop that didn't do exhaust systems. David was great. He answered my questions over the phone and got my car right up on the lift when I roared in. Problem was diagnosed and fixed within 20 minutes. Price was absolutely reasonable and there's a 1 year guarantee on all work/parts with original receipt. I would highly recommend them. read more

I was pleased with the service that I received from Muffler King.. Dropped off my car after experiencing sound coming from front brakes. David, showed me the issue and I agreed to let them replace the fronts. They had my car for about 3 hours and I also got a oil change while I was there. 259 for the brakes, 28 for oil. New rotors-- soo far soo good. 12k/1yr warranty on the brakes. read more
