Five small ceramic vessels, including vases and a bowl, are arranged on a white background. Each piece features hand-painted floral patterns with various colors such as green, pink, blue, orange, and yellow. The vessels vary in shape and size, with some having narrow openings and others wider mouths, highlighting ceramic craftsmanship and decorative art.

I've taken multiple classes here and everyone is extremely kind and knowledgeable. I went from a complete beginner on the wheel, to now a member of the studio. Ellen is so kind and talented and full of pottery knowledge and is always happy to help. I've taken classes with Gil, Rose and Ian and they are all wonderful instructors! If you are thinking about taking a pottery class here- don't hesitate!!

Things I made in a beginner class - Multiple handmade ceramic bowls and a mug are stacked on a wooden table. The bowls feature various glazes and patterns, including black, brown, green, and blue, with some having handles. The mug has a blue interior and a textured exterior. A refrigerator is visible in the background, indicating a kitchen setting.

Susan Freda Studios - This is my wedding ring - using arn's "flame" palette. He resized it cheaply when at first it didn't fit.

They turned out gorgeous, and very affordable compared to any other mokume gane we had seen. The ability to choose the metals, mokume pattern, final ring texture, oxidization, ring width, gemstone type and location was a huge boon. The ring wears well with time and is easy to clean -- small scratches from daily wear don't diminish the look. Thanks for the beautiful work Arn!

Arn Kreb's Mokume Gane rings are awesome!!! I was looking all over the internet for a unique men's…read morewedding ring. Found lots of stamped out mokume gane rings for huge money, and then stumbled upon Arn's work. Called and spoke with Arn who opened the shop just to meet my fiancé and me. He was super patient explaining the process of how he makes the rings and showing us his shop and all the variations of what he can make. Each ring is hand made by Arn using many different layers and types of metals. I know it sounds a little weird, but I love the ring we bought from Arn! Each time I glance down (6+ months of wearing it) I smile because it's a work of art - haven't taken it off yet. It wears well with a nice patina that doesn't diminish the "wood grain" metal work. He also skillfully sized it to my finger, having me try it several times in the process until we got it just right. Thank you Arn!

I learned that this business had the distinction of being the oldest framing shop in the country dating back to the early 1900's and has remained a family run local business during this time. (Wow! That's impressive!) Initially based out of the Arcade in Downcity Providence, they moved to this location in the 1970's and have continued to expand over time. What you will find today are three massive floors filled with artwork, prints, drawings, ceramics, etc from great local artists in addition to their large framing area. They can handle all types of projects small or large and provide service and support both locally and out of state. They boast quality craftsmanship, lifetime guarantees on their work, and prices that are comparable to what you'd find from the big box chains that offer framing services (no coupon needed!) The difference is the years of knowledge and experience you get when choosing Providence Picture Frame as well as the good feeling you get knowing that you are helping a long time family run store stay in business for future generations. You'll also find friendly employees who care passionately about their business, their community, and helping the customer get exactly what they are looking for. Pro tips: Consider shopping in their gallery for unique and special birthday or holiday gifts. Not sure how to display that special photo, artwork, or sentimental item? Stop by to talk to them about their custom framing ideas and to preserve your one of a kind item for a lifetime.
