I have a 13yo Shih Tzu who, until recently, LOVED our long daily walks. He's fit and looks like the Apollo Creed of his breed. Sadly, Kairo suffers from heart disease, has to take 4 different meds, and wheezes when he breathes. He's now special needs. His regular groomer is not available due to a family emergency, then upgraded to no longer gro0ming. Kairo's hair was growing excessively, and he started to quickly mat which become increasingly uncomfortable. After calling dozens of groomers who had no dates available until Nov, I finally booked a next day appointment with Pet Smart. I explained Kai's fragility in concise detail, agreed to stay, and sign a waiver, but once I arrived, they treated us like we had the plague! The Manager resolved, but no way I was letting them touch my Kai. I sat in the car frustrated! Dear Lord, who has the kindness to groom special needs dogs? Google hears my question and provides a few choices. First up was THE DOGGIE WASHERETTE, which - I called based on the EXPERTISE listed on website and left a message. Then took a closer look, read the medical updates, and assumed she was not available. I asked God to continue blessing her journey and called a few others. About an hour later, SHE CALLED ME BACK! Ms. Ethyl explained her "specialization" with dogs in Kairo's condition, we made an appointment just 3 days later, and ...WOW! She treated Kai like he was a newborn baby! He looked and felt fabulous after she gently relieved him of all of his knots, filed his "stilettos" nails down so he can walk on his paw pads, even treated the yeast between his toes, and I was so incredibly THANKFUL! The Doggie Washerette is a magical place run by an unbelievably, amazing, human being - Ms. Ethyl. Kai was quietly knocked out 5 minutes into our ride home - feeling sensational. The is no other for us! God Bless you and your phenomenal care for our senior pets with special needs.

I am not writing this review to tell you not to bring your pet to Central Bark Landover. I am…read morewriting it because I wish someone had warned me to ask the right questions and go in with your eyes open because what happened to my dog Sage could happen to yours. On June 25th, I dropped Sage off at approximately 7:30 AM for a supervised daycare session. At 11:30 AM I received a call that there had been an "incident." I left work immediately to find my dog with a deep, open gash beneath his eye, bleeding and in pain. Another dog in his play group had bitten him. I rushed Sage to an emergency veterinary clinic where the wound required surgical stitches to close. He will carry a permanent scar under his eye for the rest of his life. I paid upfront before they would even begin treatment. When I reached out to the owner, Mickey, seeking reimbursement and answers, I was told the incident was an inherent risk of group play and that the waiver I signed at enrollment limited their responsibility. I have not received reimbursement, and the matter is still unresolved. Also, I was told in person there wasn't any video evidence but the owner via email said that she reviewed the video evidence and can not share it with me. If you choose to bring your pet here, I urge you to: ask specifically how dogs are evaluated and grouped by temperament, ask what the supervision ratio is in the play area at all times, ask what happens if your dog is injured and who bears the financial responsibility, and read every word of the waiver before you sign it. Also, ask for a tour of the facility and how do you check on your dog when you are not around. I loved the idea of this place and I wanted it to work. But after what Sage went through and how it was handled, I feel a responsibility to share this so other pet owners can make a fully informed decision.

I paid $60 for the groom and over a hundred dollars for the vet bill. I called and told them tat the dogs skin was irritated. She said it was probably the shampoo and my dog probably needed an oatmeal bath. I asked what type of shampoo they used and she stated furminator, which is used to control shedding. Well my little dog is hypoallergenic. Why would someone use such a strong shampoo on a non shedding dog? She didn't offer any repayment or apology for the dog being sick. She only indicated if I come back that they would use a different shampoo. Well that was my first time and my last time there. Take you beloved pet somewhere else.

I started out living this daycare and Fiona was great but her mom apparently started helping out…read moremore and was not nearly as attentive. My dog was attacked by another during his 8 hr daycare stay. We picked him up at around 4pm and later found out that this happened at around noon. We were not notified and my dog was not taken to vet. When we picked him up we immediately noticed he was limping and she (Fionas mom) LIED. I put my foot down and inspected him on their front lawn and found the pictured wound actively bleeding. She continued to lie saying nothing happened and she doesn't know how that got there and even tried saying it happened before we dropped him off (when he was perfectly fine at drop off and I KNOW there were no wounds because I brushed him RIGHT BEFORE dropping him off so I would have seen it). Only after we left and took him to an emergency vet did we get a text from Fiona saying that a dog jumped on him, attacking him and had to be pulled off my dog. This is a very condensed version of the full story but they were deceptive and didn't have my dog's well being in mind as he would have been taken to vet immediately - not laying in pain bleeding for 4 hours. Think twice before entrusting your babies to this daycare.

We were not told he would not handle the booking until we were already within the cancellation window. We then arranged a last-minute meet-and-greet, which we were charged for, with another sitter who said she could cover our visits. On the first day, the owner moved our scheduled visit based on her interpretation of our flight information without confirming the change with us. When no one had arrived by 12:30 p.m., our dog had been alone for approximately seven hours, and I had to ask a friend to rush to our house. Only after we had left town did the owner explain that visit times were not guaranteed and that multiple sitters would rotate through our home. Over the trip, at least four sitters provided care, one morning visit was approximately an hour late, a medication dose was missed because instructions had not been communicated properly, and one sitter could not enter because the team had failed to exchange our keys. We had to provide emergency access instructions during our vacation. The individual sitters generally seemed kind and attentive. Our complaint is with the company's management, coordination, communication, and billing practices. We get mistakes happen. What made this unacceptable was the owner's consistently defensive response and tendency to blame the customer or cite policies only after a problem occurred. Prospective customers should understand that Quality Time may rotate several sitters, does not guarantee requested visit times (it's apparently a 2-hour window around your scheduled time), charges numerous add-on fees, including medication by the individual pill and charges $25 for key return. We also received add-on invoices during our vacation and felt pressured to pay them promptly while the company was still responsible for our pets' care (I know there were some duplicate and erroneous charges). After 10 years as customers, we will not use Quality Time again and can no longer recommend the company.
