I've recommended Dr. Khianey for years and will continue to do so. But I won't be bringing my family to this hospital without Dr. Khianey. Dr. Khianey is the kindest, most talented veterinarian I have ever come across. Unfortunately, Prince George's Animal Hospital will never, ever be the same without him now after more than 40 years of stellar service to the community. Dr. Khianey saved the life of my first kitty, and cared for him throughout the latter half of his life with compassion and irreplaceable expertise for both my cat and for me. He has been caring for my two current cats in the same exact way, as if they were his own. He will continue to do so at the new practice lucky enough to have him. Dr. Khianey's work is exceptional and I have and will continue to recommend everyone I know go to him if they want a doctor who is competent, compassionate, beyond talented and truly cares for all of his patients with the same level of love he does his own. I would not trust anyone over him. I have seen terrified animals calmed by his presence. I have seen animals on the verge of death healed by his hands. I have wept in his offices and been comforted by his calm competence and expertise. No one will ever replace him and to lose him at Prince George's Animal Hospital after four decades of excellence is a fatal wound to this community. I am beyond crushed that he will not longer be practicing at the hospital he built. I hope all of his patients see this and learn the truth. Separately, under new ownership and following Dr. Khianey's departure and the departure of his staff, I experienced incorrect bills, medications prescribed incorrectly, AI recording during appointments without notice, a near complete communication breakdown, incorrect invoices and records, etc. We had difficulty getting full copies of our records when we told staff we would no longer be patients at the hospital because Dr. Khianey is no longer practicing there. The new ownership also was not transparent and even went so far as to lie about why Dr. Khianey and his staff were no longer there. The owner, Shannon, was very responsive at first. When I told her where I lived, she started backtracking and listing reasons why her employees wouldn't be able to reach my apartment. She then told me she couldn't even refer another sitting service. I've had cat sitters before. Interacting with Shannon was the strangest, most frustrating conversation I've ever had. She clearly did not want to take me or my cats on as a client for reasons unbeknownst to me. I was able to find a cat sitter through another service, thankfully. I cannot recommend C-Pup.

Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.
