They house the cats in a separate area from the dogs of course and the cats have their own large cage with a litterbox and bowl of water that's changed daily and two separate perches for them to hop onto. They offer and provide a warm meal for your cat if you don't bring your own food. My cat loves his Fancy Feast grilled wet food and temptation treats so I packed that for his stay which the staff happily gave him. The staff is accommodating to pet's needs so please discuss those concerns with them. To help him feel comfortable with his stay away from home i provided his own small blanket and it was placed into the cage. You don't need to bring your own feeding/water bowls Anchors Kennel provides that. I called almost every day to speak with a staff member who was familiar with my cat and how he was handling the stay. The rates are super affordable the best in the DMV area! You must be current on your pet's immunizations and show proof otherwise you will be denied care at the facility. A pet report card is given at the time of checkout (so cute) about behavior, feeding times, how well pet interacted with staff etc... Also he showed destructive behaviors because of his separation anxiety. I was in a rut. I was trying all types of methods to get him trained first from me. I used a Gentle Leader, Youtube Videos, Wiki-How, and also looking at Boarding. The thing with the local train and boards they were really expensive. It was out of my range so I was keen on training him myself. After some time the issues still didn't subside. I took Keto to the dog park so he can "exert his energy". That is a place I have no control. Keto would run around, had no recall, and would show aggression towards other dogs as well. One owner was at the dog park and recommended Kevin, the owner of FourDogLovers for Keto. After seeing how her dogs were near her and listening to her commands I took the leap. I went ahead and booked a consultation with Kevin after looking through his instagram and checking if he really works. Went ahead and filled out a form on his website and we did a facetime call on what the problems were. He knew from there what to work on to change Keto and me for the better. The best thing about working with Kevin is he provided lots of information and homework for you to do when the dog isn't in his care. The plans he had me choose from were VERY competitive. I was shocked from other boards charging $$$$ and him at a very comfortable level. Fast forward a couple months of having Keto (and me) train with Kevin and he's a completely new dog. Great recall, no destructive behaviors, no pulling on leash, and so much more. I could not thank Kevin enough for his patience and his knowledge he shared me and Keto throughout these months. If you can considering boarding your training your dog this company is your choice. Best of both worlds where he can board or even do daycare for you. It isn't easy sending your dog away to work with strangers but they far exceeded our expectations. We definitely hit the jackpot with our trainer, Natalie. Walter had challenges with reactivity and general manners. She went above and beyond to make sure Walter was cared for while also making a huge difference in his behavior. Natalie was communicative with us and really made us feel like we were apart of the process. It was clear that Natalie spent the time getting know Walter and his quirks along the way. We also really value Natalie's perspective on Walter and his experiences in the world. Walter came home with an incredible foundation of training, a love of learning, and more confidence in himself. She is a professional (she breeds, raises and shows her own greyhounds and borzois). The facility is great and right next to her home so you can be sure your pup will be taken care of. We took our young greyhound to Pat for four days initially and when we picked our dog back up she was in great shape and I even think Pat taught her a thing or two. We left our dog here again for a longer stay of about 12 days and again no issues at all. Our pup loves coming here. It is worth the drive from DC even if it is a bit of a hike. I have no worries leaving my dog here. The same cannot be said of many of the places in DC proper which are often understaffed and very expensive. We'll be visiting often!

Do not use this service, overdosed our dog, disobeyed our instructions, tried to cut corners and does not provide service as advertised. Also, did not pick up any dog poop in our yard. We were absorbed when they acquired Dr. Scott's practice. We stayed because of Dr. Scott because he was that good a Vet but as a whole we were very dissatisfied with PAWS. The service their is terrible in that they are very pushy. They like to tell what you need to with your pet and the reason is their prices are way higher. They want you to use their online store for prescriptions which usually run about 20-30% higher than other options. If you're not willing to use their online store they try to make it more difficult to get your prescriptions filled. And it's not just me. I won't name names but I have spoken with a number of employees there who actually stated "We understand where you are coming from. Ever since we came under the current management group our prices have risen quite a bit and alot of our longterm customers have been very unhappy. Unless you like overpaying for your preventive medications and people being pushy and telling you what you need to do I could not recommend this Vet to anyone. How can use or listen to a Vet that you don't trust. They talk about "Trust" but I think it's just a tagline. I don't think they really understand what that word means.
