Our dog walker, Doris, even tried brushing out our heavily shedding chow mix who does not like being brushed. As a result he would often have some uneven cuts and if not we would have complaints about him being wiggly or reports of him crying. When we arrived to pick up our pup from Rufflections he was happy, his tail was not tucked, he was wagging and completely relaxed! Our dogs are always happy and healthy when we return, and she leaves little notes letting us know things they did each visit. Dee also helped us find an excellent training place that has helped steer us in the direction of therapy dog for our latest rescue. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for Five Pups. The number of times my fiancé and I have had to work late or travel out of town last minute-- Arthur and Five Pups always comes through. They are so flexible, picking up and dropping off our little guys when we need and I never feel stressed about it. I provide their food and medications and feel comforted that they're in good hands. We get texts with lovely pictures of our babies playing (attached). I know they have a good time, because they literally run away from us and to the van, and never want to come home when they're being dropped off (*cries*). They're always home smelling fresh (and bathed), and exhausted from playing. Incredibly grateful to Five Pups and the top notch daycare and boarding. Highly highly recommended.

They take great care of the dogs and will send you pictures throughout the day so you can see how they're doing. I'm always jealous of Ruby because she's clearly having way more fun than me. 2. Your dog gets to run around OUTSIDE with other dogs during the day (weather permitting of course). I once asked how much time they spend outside and they made it clear that if it's uncomfortable for you to be outside (too cold, too hot, etc.) then it's uncomfortable for them to be outside and they bring them in. 3. Your dog will be super excited to see Arthur when he comes to pick them up so you know they love them and take care of them like they're their own. 4. Did I mention Arthur will come to you and pick up your dog?! We live in Columbia Heights for reference. 5. If you have a younger dog or a rescue that's the only dog in the house, it's a fantastic way for your dog to get in a whole day of socialization and playtime while you're at work. Especially if they're a pandemic baby! One last thing. When we first started sending her, we had lots of questions about the facilities (since they're in Indian Head, MD, we didn't really want to drive over there to check them out ourselves) and they took the time to answer every one. They clearly care about the health and safety of the dogs in their care and have invested time and money into their setup. I can't remember the details of all the recent upgrades. But I'm sure if you asked they'd be happy to share that info with you. His coat was unevenly shaved, especially around the face and body, and overall looked rushed and unprofessional. I also noticed a yellow residue around his tear duct, which made it seem like his face wasn't properly cleaned. This was a very disappointing experience, and I won't be returning.
