So every time I eat in or get it delivered the food is always excellent. I've never had a bad experience from this restaurant from the food to the staff. Yes all places get that busy hour but to be honest they move the line super fast and it's worth the wait. Today I got my food delivered to my house since I wasn't up to drive there. I ordered a chicken burrito and a protein bowl. Of course I picked extra meat to be added on the burrito and when I got my food the burrito must of weighed 5 pounds of solid yumminess!!! Since it was so big I could only eat half of it. You definitely get your moneys worth at this place. The other item I ordered was just as good but not as big lol. I've been coming to this place for years now. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. We used to come up here before the duck games to get dinner and then they finally brought one to Medford but recently that has closed again. The fresh ingredients, quality food, and fast service is something I appreciate. I've tried most of the food here but I end up always going back to my favorite, which is one Carnita soft taco and one fish chewy taco. Something about the way they do their tacos here is better than anywhere else. I spent most of my growing up in Medford going to amucho Gusto every Sunday and it's the thing I miss the most about living in Medford so I'm thankful there is still one in Eugene for when I come to Oregon games now that I live in Portland. I'm not sure why this place has such good reviews. Maybe the meat is good but I'm vegan so I haven't tried it. To me, the rice and beans tasted like they came from a box, not fresh. All of the ingredients were bland. The burrito was soggy. On top of that, I ordered delivery from google and my order was taking a long time, so I called to see if it had been picked up. She told me they don't work with any delivery services at all and my order was waiting at the counter. Weird, since I paid for delivery, but ok. We went to pick it up and when we got there the line was so long. While we waited to get inside I got a text from a delivery driver saying they were on the way. About 5 minutes later someone dropped my food off at my door. So obviously there is some service delivering through google whether they know it or not. Very confusing and a waste of time and money, Overall terrible experience. 2 stars because it wasn't totally inedible I guess, and at least it didn't have meat inside. read more

Good Stuff! I got the Burrito in a bowl and the only thing I wanted that they don't have is Refried Beans. The selection of toppings and proteins was excellent. This is my third stop here, and I always have Carnitas yet I think I really should try the chicken and the tofu. BOTH look delicious. I especially like the Lime Cilantro Crema (sour cream) on top and their guacamole is really good. If we are going to be honest Eugene is not my favorite voice for chain food. Unfortunately, many of the better chain restaurants have not made it to the city yet. With that in mind, and having to be at the airport in less than an hour, I was in route to Baja Fresh when I saw this location on the way. I was excited to try something which looked more local and quickly found out how much better the food was than it Baja Fesh and nearby Chipotle. After eating here I would never go to those to chains again. What was better about this place? The service for one. The atmosphere. And, more important: the food. It was clear that even just walking through the line to be served that the food here was a notch up from those nearby chains. It looked, tasted and smelled fresher than the others. Everything here is priced fair and brings value, in fact. I was impressed and will return next time I'm in Eugene for meetings. When it comes to a quick style restaurant for people that don't have time for a sit down meal it's hard to beat the full experience here. On this occasion I opted for the the bowl. (The guy in front of me ordered a burrito that looked like it was enough for three people to share.) I had them split my protein between chicken and pork. Both meats were well seasoned and tasted great. The salsa tasted fresh and the guacamole tasted like something I would have been served in Southern California. Got here and put my stuff down before I ordered (cannot carry food and stuff) and when I returned a worker was sitting at my table eating an orange. I put my food down and went to get my drink and when I came back they put the sign on my table. I was alone but I noticed others sitting at tables too with no food waiting for their people to come to table. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Mucho's Sister restaurant Dickie Jo's, but this quick Mexican grub just never hit the spot with me despite multiple visits. It's assembly line style quick eats. You start by choosing what you'd like from typical Mexican dishes like Burritos or Tostadas and then you add rice, beans, meat and salsas as you choose. I typically opt for a chicken burrito finished off with some mucho sauce. When I'm craving a good tostada I think of Mucho! Why? Because they go out of their way to have fresh ingredients, friendly staff and put up with me the needy customer who can't have onions. This is great for customizing your order and making sure you get what you want. I like their burritos and burrito bowls. I either order it with no meat or fried fish if I'm in a fish mood. I don't really care for their meat, but I don't really like meat with most burritos unless it's carne asada. I love their "Mucho Sauce" (cilantro-lime dressing). They also have great chips! Mucho Gusto is the best! Better than all competitors. Chipotle, Baja Fresh, Qdoba are all OK but Mucho Gusto has more variety, better seasoning and fresher ingredients. Yum! Wish Portland had one. I always have to visit when I'm in Eugene. My go to is the fried cod salad with chips on the side. Chips are fresh made and salted well. The order is made right in front of you. Fish is fried after you order. No soggy fried fish here. Guacamole and salsas are made fresh throughout the day. Yum! I also like getting my meal as a burrito. It's huge and filling.
