MTD Warranty is basically a scam. Parts are guaranteed 5 years but labor covered for only 1 year. Our kitchen cabinets and drawers were installed a little over a year ago. Now one of drawers is dropping onto the next drawer below creating friction when opened or closed. Upon my inspection I found that the left side hardware is loose because the particle board it's attached to is crumbling. Since we are past the one year warranty, we were told that labor to repair this problem would be a minimum of $450. Before this we had several other problems but they were covered under warranty. Definitely cannot recommend this company for many reasons. Message me if you want to hear the other issues. read more

MTD Kitchen was recommended by our general contractor for our kitchen remodel. We did a complete kitchen remodel and liked how large and easy access their North Hollywood and Anaheim showroom was. Kitchen cabinets (slim shaker) came out great and the hardware are working great. 1 star off for the overall communication with the company and our designer. They switched our designer from the North Hollywood office to Anaheim suddenly and it was clear they did not communicate with each other. The designer Catherine knew what she was doing measurement wise but was pretty snobby and had attitude the whole time. Some of the doors were missing on the initial delivery, and the glass doors got delayed 2 times with incorrect deliveries which delayed our whole kitchen finish by about a month. Don't get glass doors. Several handles were damaged on install but they did fix it after I pointed it out. Counter install went fine and took 10 days to arrive. They did try to do us right in the end and the final kitchen was finally finished beautifully but there were definitely frustrating moments throughout the process. read more

Very frustrated and disappointed. My good friend and I stumbled across MTD while visiting Marble yards in Anaheim. We had been looking for panel like doors that tuck away to get to hidden appliances. I made my first payment in July 28th with production lead time of 4-6 weeks max. I had final measurements August 14th. In Oct. 3rd I was asked for 70% payment without having received the final updated plans- I had caught appliance/spec. measurement issues and those had not been corrected. It is now December 19 and I am still not getting a concrete answer as to when this work will be completed. No discount just excuses. The installer has been to my house 3-4 times and they arrive to find the material they requested the previous visit (two weeks prior) hasn't arrived. Save your sanity, time and money!!!! Go/Run away with someone else. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed. Two other friends were re doing their kitchens and I told them to stay away from MTD. Better off with IKEA or stock cabinets you assemble yourself. Especially given the pretentiousness of staff when you enter showroom- we expected efficiency to accompany that. The number of unreturned calls, texts and days before get a straightforward response would be even more infuriating if didn't have a full time job. Messaged someone today 12.19.23 and they still have no clue when this will be completed. No discounts offered or apology from upper management. read more

I made an appointment with this company last week. The lady called me back and said can they cancel and redo a different day which would be this Monday. I said OK but I'm out of town a lot but I'll take Monday at 4:30. I'm at the river yesterday I got a text asking if they can cancel and if They could now come next Thursday. I said no they said well what about Sunday I said no I'm out of town. I told him that's all right never mind I don't like people that cancel A LOT it shows me incompetence. I told him or her to forget they got smart with me on a text and RUDE! Maybe they're the owner and they make $1 million so they're good with their stink attitude. Terrible service. The designer we spoke to clearly didn't want to spend time speaking to us. She had me email her with a ton of information, which I did. I sent her an incredibly detailed email and then crickets. I called the store a couple times in the week after to see if there was another designer (assuming it was just an issue about time) that could work with us but the woman I spoke to offered no help at all. I'm in love with my new kitchen! I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted when I got started, but my designer, Reka, took all the stress out of designing my cabinet layout. She was responsive when I sent random texts at night or over the weekend to make sure all my questions were answered. She was even able to optimize the layout of my countertops and backsplash to minimize the number of slabs I had to purchase and get the bright, open look I was wanting. There were some delays related to the COVID-19 situation, but that was understandably out of their control. The installers were friendly, polite, quick, and meticulous. I wish I can give this place 5 stars. At first when I met Reka, our designer, I felt confident that we've finally found the cabinets I wanted. We are doing a total renovation of our house and gutted the entire kitchen for a modern look. It's a lot of stress trying to work with the contractor and subcontractors while looking for flooring, cabinets, countertops, etc...Reka made me feel a little less stress by laying out the design I wanted with the budget I have. She has great customer service hence the 3 stars. The time line for the cabinets to be done was about 3 weeks and they said it would be delivered by early December. Maribel, project manager, called me about a week later to let me know the white cabinets I've ordered is not in stock but they're willing to "upgrade" me to nicer and similar ones. So I drove out to their office, took a look at the new cabinets and signed my DocuSign to agree on the change. They delivered on the day they've promised and 2 guys came the next day to install the cabinets. All the base cabinets are all installed but the white cabinet doors are not the correct ones. They had to take those doors down and bring them back to their warehouse. In the meantime we are left with unfinished cabinets with no doors and have not gotten word on when the new doors will be ready. There were other issues that we are still waiting on. For example, we are missing a spice rack and pull out trash can unit. They told me that my ceiling is uneven so they wanted to cut one of the upper cabinet doors 1/2 an inch shorter than the other door because my ceiling was uneven. I asked if we can move the 2 upper cabinets down 1/2 an inch from the ceiling but if they do that, they'll charge $200 extra! The installers should have communicated with us when they were there and not after they have installed those upper cabinets. There were just so many issues with this whole process. In the meantime, we're trying to get the house done before Christmas and this just adds more stress. Also they charge for every single thing. For example, $39 to change door handles and $180 for trash cans. It would be nice to get a discount for the troubles and to keep a good customer relationship but nope. I thought I made the right decision when I initially chose to go with MTD for my kitchen cabinets but now I'm just not too sure. I just want this to be over with. If you choose to use them, make sure you go through every single little detail with the designer. Good luck! read more

I am really pleased with MTD Kitchen. I did an entire kitchen remodel and purchased all cabinets, sink and countertop from MTD. I feel the products were good quality and reasonably priced. Reka was my designer for the project and she did a superb job! Reka was so quick to get the rendering done for me and created a great layout design. She was incredibly efficient with the whole project from beginning to end. She has many years of experience with design layout and it was very apparent. Maribel organized the installers and was in contact with me the whole time until the project was finished. A kitchen renovation can be quite stressful and they made sure it went smoothly. We met with Michele (Anaheim branch) who had a lot of helpful information about kitchen design but really worked with us to give us what we wanted (or didn't want) in our kitchen. She did a great job gathering & communicating necessary information (i.e. our appliance models to know measurements or confirming how many handles we needed) and everything fit in our space perfectly. Rosario was always polite and communicated the schedule/documents clearly with us so we always knew what and when to expect things. Juan and Juan did a wonderful job installing our cabinets, showing careful attention to detail and communicating the install process or questions to us so that we could make decisions to our liking. My husband and I were forced to remodel our kitchen and downstairs level when we had a water leak. It was a stressful situation which kept us from using most of our home for several months. We were working with a contractor who had 2 places he ordered cabinets from. I had a clear vision of what I wanted my kitchen to look like. After spending many days driving all over going to these vendors and picking out materials, they didn't have what I was looking for. In addition, the contractor was gouging us in price and labor and we spent ridiculous amounts of time nightly going over line items and arguing back and forth. We were getting nowhere and just added to our delay. We stopped in MTD on a Saturday and looked around and I instantly found the cabinets that completed my vision. We spoke to Reka who took a long time talking with us, bouncing ideas back and forth, and answering our questions. She was very patient with us and we felt very comfortable with her. She put together a quote and design for us and the rest is history. We fired our contractor and went with Reka and her team at MTD to do our kitchen. After that things started moving fairly quickly. Our cabinets were in stock, were ordered, and installed within a couple weeks. Everyone that we worked with there was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Reka did a wonderful job making my vision a reality, but also making sure the design was functional, up to code, and aesthetically pleasing. The installers were extremely knowledgeable and fun as well. I am very hands on and detail oriented. I had a lot of questions and little things I noticed here and there that they addressed immediately and took the extra time to make sure I was satisfied and it was perfect. Miguel came to measure the countertops and did a wonderful job cutting the slabs to create a beautiful backsplash, countertop, and waterfall edge on our island ensuring that we got the most veins out of each slab and cut. Maribel was in contact with my husband every step of the way to arrange and coordinate the deliveries and installations as well. All of them were wonderful to work with. Very dissapointed with the quality of cabinets and the lack of management's willingness to recompensate me with money back or discounts for what was a very long and hard process of going back and forth requesting that the company replace damaged cabinets. Many cabinets came cracked, faded in paint finish and simply damaged. I paid so much money assuming that this company was reputable. While i had a good experience with their design staff, I had a very unpleasant experience with the project manager whose contractors came late to appointments and or would not always show up. We had the most wonderful experience with MTD (Anaheim branch). Just for background, we were "forced" into doing a kitchen remodel (due to mold discovery) pressed for time and already stressed out dealing with insurance, finding the right cabinets, etc and etc. This is no exaggeration but the absolute best part of this remodel project for us was MTD and every one of their employees we worked with starting with: * Reka- our designer- very professional, creative, patient, clearly explained and discussed as many options as we wanted to consider, always available for call/meeting (and yes sometimes even facetime) and did I mention her patience :) Absolute pleasure to work with * Maribel- our project coordinator- always available for any questions we had and very helpful- even did a personal delivery of a missing item herself * Our wonderful installers Ricardo and Pedro. These guys' attitude and attention to detail was the best. I am beyond thrilled with this company. Redesigning a kitchen is painstaking, to say the least, especially when working with a strict budget. My husband and I went to several places before finding MTD and I was running out of patience. I didn't feel like I was being heard and felt like the "designers" at other places, like 405 cabinets, didn't really like their job. Everything changed once I walked into MTD and met Michelle. Michelle was very knowledgeable about functional, yet classy, kitchens and worked with me closely on redesigning our space. She never rushed me into a decision and was extremely patient with my questions and uncertainty. It was clear to me that she, not only truly cared, but also enjoyed her job as a designer. The result was a beautiful design which maximized our space. Once the design was set, Maribel, the project manager, took over and got the ball rolling. MTD has a very quick project completion time. They came out to measure and was ready to begin as soon as the demo was done. The only thing that held the project up was on our end, with electricians and wall patching from our demo.
