The Q10 always passes fast but because in both directions they go to big destinations, it is always packed.

Took the Air Train for the first time (uber was going to be more than $65 at rush hour)…read more From the JFK terminal, only had to take an elevator to the Air Train platform. One direction goes to Jamaica, the other to all terminals. Schedules are posted on a screen. There was an employee on the platform if need to ask questions- like how to pay, which I learned was done at Jamaica station. The train has seats, and room for standing with suitcases. Large windows, relaxed ride. At Jamaica Station, just paid with OMNY or credit card. $8.75. There are restrooms, flight info screens. Saw elevators but I chose the escalators (note that some are narrow so may be tight for larger suitcases). Grabbed donuts from a Tim Hortons kiosk then I easily transferred to the E train (Sutphin Blvd-Archer Ave- check other train lines there, and LIRR) Not bad - JFK to Jamaica in 20 min more or less.

They're on the right track. (giggle)…read more So glad they offer this service. Super easy to get to other terminals, car rentals, or hotel shuttles. And, if you are trying to get to the city, the Air Train is more reliable, faster, and predictable than taxis and rideshare at a fraction of the cost (and sometime more spacious or comfortable). Plus, it's luggage friendly and accessible. And they don't need to know your name. If you're confused, you need to take the smooth, magnetic Air Train to exit the airport to either Howard Beach to catch the A train or to Jamaica for the E, J, or Z train (or the Long Island Rail Road direct to Grand Central or Penn Station for $5.25-$7.25). To get directions in reverse back to the airport, just hold this review up to a mirror. Ideally, it would be great to have a direct link from airport to city, like Chicago, Atlanta, DC, San Francisco, Cleveland, Salt Lake City, St. Louis, and Minneapolis and Portland (and Seattle if you walk 1000 feet), but I still appreciate the "two-seat" system because the signage is super easy. You can jump off your plane and follow the yellow signs straight to the air train, pay at the turnstile, and be on a train within 15 minutes anytime of the day. As of June 2026, it's $8.75 for the Air Train, and $3 for the subway. Pro Tip: If you are heading to Terminal 8 from the city, get off the train at Terminal 1, walk across the platform, and catch the clockwise "All Terminals" to catch it in 1 (not 5) stops.

I feel like when I think about which airline to fly back to Taiwan with, I usually go with Eva…read moreAirlines BUT I decided to take China this time and the experience honestly really surprised me. Here were some of the highlights: - I think they remodeled the inside cabins from the purple look they had before which was great. - The seats, I feel like, are able to extend back a lot more than the seats from other airlines. - I think what surprised me the most was definitely the meals. I do think that out of the two options I feel as if I chose the better one, but the food was actually pretty good. For dinner I had this rice noodle chicken dish and for lunch I had beef and rice. For both of the dishes, the vegetables were pretty tasty and not overly drenched in sauce. Also the flavor profile was on the lighter side and both of the meats were quite tender. However I do still think that they have some things to improve on such as the fact that their usb chargers don't actually work unless you are constantly pressing it at all times. Also, I don't like the headset set up as they don't have a normal input port and so you must use their headsets when you're in economy. But overall, its a lot better experience than I anticipated and will be flying with them more back to Taiwan.

My review is for CHINA AIRLINES of TAIWAN. I see that many people are reviewing various other…read moreairlines based in China. This was for an expected trip to Taipei from Tokyo. OMG. I had to make all my reservations online, and that was fine. However, a couple of months before my trip I checked online to make sure our reservation and flight were all fine, and saw that our seats had been changed. This was because, according to them, the aircraft that we were supposed to use was changed to a larger plane. That of course was not a problem. The problem was that we had chosen two seats together, both window and aisle, and now we would have to share the row with someone else. But for the 3.5 hours trip I was able to make that exception. Then, a few days later, I looked again and saw the same thing had happened for the return trip. Once again, no email, no call, no nothing. Well, I didn't like it. I then called to cancel but was told that I would need to do everything online and request my refund online, which I did. The next time I plan a trip to Taipei I will spring the extra bucks for Eva Air or JAL or ANA. I don't like sudden changes, and especially don't like being told on the phone that this is something that everyone should expect! No, it isn't if you fly by any respectable airline! I also don't like surprises sprung on me. China Airlines is cheaper than the other airlines I mentioned, but it is not a budget airline by any means. I expected more than being told to "do it yourself" when I called them. I mean, really??? I can't comment on the food or inflight service as I wound up not going. However, if you have a choice, look for another way to travel. It's better to be safe than sorry. I know I will.
