I booked a private party for my daughter's 5th birthday party at Peek-a-Boo Factory…read more First, the venue is very clean. They spray down the equipment and vacuum between events. They had 3 people on staff for our party. I brought balloons, snacks, drinks, cupcakes and colorful tablecloths. I wheeled in my items from the car, dropped them off at the front with the team, and they literally did the rest. Super turn-key. The first portion is play time and then you move to the party room for snacks and cake. You can also have some snacks laid out in the front part of the play area. The party room is in the back and I had meant to go in and give them some basic set-up directions prior to us going in, but totally forgot. I ran into the room while folks were already filing in as I hadn't even viewed the room, yet, and it looked amazing! They had laid out all the snacks and drinks; they supplied plates, napkins, basic party tablecloths and a royal birthday chair and birthday banner. I didn't even have cake stands so brought a few plates from home to display the cupcakes, but they had some cute cake stands and took it upon themselves to beautifully display them! Far better than what I would have done! They even took it upon themselves to move the balloons from spot to spot as the party migrated - whatever looked the best! Then they helped pack up the leftovers and clean everything. Easy peasy. They do include 18% gratuity, but with the amount of mental load they took off my plate, it was 100% worth it. And of course, the kids loved it! The only thing I wish they had was a bit longer play time option. The kids LOVED playing and wanted more! The venue and level of service is truly exceptional! The team at Peek-a-Boo in San Francisco are true pros, with a level of customer service that totally surpassed my expectations. Thank you, Peek-a-boo Factory Team!

Located in the local & city combo vibed Geary neighborhood in San Francisco, Peek-a-Boo packs a lot into a well organized kids space. Although it has limited seating, the entry way contains some retro distraction as you wait to be let into the main play area where your party time begins - those coin operated machines from the 80's that you win a prize from when you turn the slot with 2-4 quarters. My nephew & I played two. Then as his friends and their parents started arriving, it was the official time for his party start time and so our family could walk through the locked gate into the kids world of swings, slides, climbing walls, and colorful tunnels and passageways. For an estimated 90 minutes, about 20 kids ran through the time of their lives as their parents and Auntie looked on in awe haha! A face painter was also setup on one side of that main room who painted next level and intricate animal, tribal, and celestial themed designs on some of the kids' faces while the others played. When the clock ticked to a certain time, the staff made an announcement to head towards the back party room for pizza, cupcakes, and presents. (My brother chose the food options and arranged for them to be delivered ahead of time.) The staff had setup the room perfectly, with a happy birthday banner over the cupcakes on the middle table, then little tables setup on both sides of that table with snacks, drinks, pizza, goodie bags, and long tables setup in the middle for the kiddos to sit at comfortably as they entered the room. Then the staff served them pizza. It was a sweet time - filled with laughter, smiles, birthday song, and full bellies. What a wonderful Sunday afternoon of childhood bliss!

We've been here for camp, open play, and birthday parties. Always a clean play place!…read more This review is specifically for the summer camp. My daughter really enjoyed it. As a parent, a few things that I really liked about this camp: 1) they provide snack 2) they make sure the kids wash their hands 3) they have a drive thru pick up/ drop off system. Very easy and convenient. You show your ID to pick up your kid - very safe. 4) the kids did so many activities throughout the day. They would play games and do crafts and it seemed like the workers were very engaged with the kids 5) they share pictures with you at the end of the week. You can also find pictures on instagram each day Great place, highly recommend!

They run multiple parties at the same time and you rotate hourly between the gym, food, and arcade. Gym: Nice play structure with a small area for younger kids. Probably most ideal for kids 3-5. Food: Aside from cake, you have to utilize their food options. We had pizza, fried chicken, juice/water/soda and fruit. The dining area is quite small so if you are expecting more than 30 total people, you will feel like sardines. Arcade: Geared towards young kids, but they also have skeeball. Birthday packages are on the pricey side (starting at $750) so probably would wait until kids are at least 4-5 so that they can enjoy everything.

I worked with Melissa on the party planning and she provided a lot of tips and reassured me that her and her team would be assisting throughout the party. On the day of the party they set up everything in the party room! The decorations, plates, food, etc. It allowed me to be able to enjoy play time with my son and allowed me to mingle and catch up with the parents. And after the party was over, with a blink of an eye, everything was all cleaned up. :) I find that it's difficult to find good customer service these days so I wanted to point out that the staff I've encountered were all REALLY friendly and I can't thank Melissa enough for a stress-free party. Would highly recommend Peek-a-Boo Factory for a party or even a drop-in with your kids. The play structure is very spacious so I rarely had to crawl to play in there with my son. A big plus!

Appreciate their positive energy. I'd like to note that their policy allows for entrance 10m before party time, but not after? Strange. I had a 2-hour party and I believe it should have been strongly discouraged for a party of my size. I didn't anticipate how rushed it would feel, nor that overage time would be charged by the minute at the end. While I understand their policy and did read about it beforehand, I would have appreciated a clearer recommendation during our initial communications. Given the size of my party (and I had extra people I didn't expect to show up come), more time was realistically needed for setup and breakdown, and a heads-up from peek a boo team would have been helpful, as they are the professionals.

The first thing I noticed walking in was how clean everything was. For an indoor play space, that really stood out. The layout is well thought out and there's a lot to keep kids entertained. The play structure is huge and even big enough for adults to climb in with the kids. The ninja course was a big hit and the Mario themed wall had kids lining up to try it. There are arcade games, small rides, and a separate toddler area that I really appreciated. The toddler section even has interactive screens where little ones can play games and draw, which kept the younger kids happy and busy. The staff were all fantastic. Everyone we interacted with were friendly, attentive, and very organized. Hosting a kid's birthday party can feel overwhelming, but they helped everything run smoothly so we could actually relax and enjoy the day. They even handled the small details I forgot like filing the goodie bags and blowing up balloons. The party room was spacious and nicely set up, and the overall experience felt soo easy and well coordinated. HUGE thank you to the team at Peek-A-Boo Factory for helping make the celebration so fun. We'll definitely be back for open play!

Kids come in and the…read morefirst thing they see is the EXPENSIVE arcade games before they even get to see the play structures to get excited about. So I got to start the adventure with saying "no" cuz I just spent $40 for their entrance fees, then another $6 for THEIR grip socks even though we came wearing our own grip socks. Now I'm the bad guy cuz my kids see flashy expensive arcade games and want to play. The arcade games are so short and so expensive for the time you get to play, and no prizes to win, just money down the drain with the stupid pre paid cards that you don't know how much is left on it. The play structure has a super unsafe feature at the front, the Mario challenge wall, I saw multiple kids probably 8 year olds climb ABOVE the Mario structure where it's a full story high and they would be seriously hurt if they fell. My last complaint is that the staff did not keep a close enough eye on the gate to make sure kids don't escape. I saw the gate just hang open as the staff chatted with each other and not watching to keep it closed. On a positive note, the play structure itself is very large and a lot of exploring opportunities for toddlers and kids, lots of slides. Structures tall enough that parents can follow a two year old almost anywhere in the structure. The place has potential to be better and safer, but I'm sticking to Enchanted for my kids, it's safer for toddlers.

Flabbergasted by all these 5 star reviews...? I've been to many Playland's in the greater Bay Area…read moreand I have to be brutally honest, this Playland in Sausalito, California is by far the worst. I traveled all the way to Playland Sausalito from the South Bay with my 5 year old son for my cousins 5 year old son's birthday party. Upon exiting and making a left her and a left there I found myself driving through an old, dusty, shoddy, dirt road, with barrack style bungalows up into an old, spooky gymnasium. I'm assuming they're using 'Playland' in the school's old gymnasium. Is the school still open? I do not know, but from the looks of it, I doubt it. Just looked run down and unkept to be actually open on a day-to-day basis. I'm giving Playland Sausalito a 1 star review because mostly everyone from my cousins party ended up catching either the flu or some variation of the stomach bug that's been going on. Depending on if you were an adult or a child that kind of dictated your symptoms. After calling and asking around if anyone else from the party got sick I was not surprised to hear that, yes other people in attendance got sick. In addition to getting sick, the overall venue was kind of run down and seemed like it's on it's last leg. A few inflatables, a few balls to kick around, 2 pop-a-shot basketball hoops (one didn't work), and a cold gloomy atmosphere. Nice! I understand what Playland Sausalito is trying to do in terms of providing a safe fun-filled place for children to have parties and hang out with friends and family but if children and adults are getting sick than that's defeating the purpose. Maybe it was a one time thing or others have gotten sick at this establishment but I think lack of attention to detail, sanitary practices, and overall kind of just a dingy, ordinary, throw a few balls and inflatables in here and call it a 'Playland' is lame and dangerous. Also, when I called Playland to ask a question as to if they are open or not? (says they are closed on Yelp unless it's a private party), the guy that answered the phone said "Hello".. LoL, not "Thank you for calling Playland how can I help you" so I had to ask the guy "Is this Playland?". Not professional dude. In hindsight, as I was oblivious of what was to come the days after the party, I made a comment to my cousin that they were having another party right after us and I didn't see them doing any kind of sanitary wipe downs or anything. Yikes! In conclusion, I probably won't be coming back again and if you were thinking on planning a party for your little one here, I'd look around some more for I'm sure there are other venues that offer more bang for your buck. Do I recommend, No.
