The camp itself for kids is great. My friend's daughter worked her and she got no breaks for working a 8-4. That's illegal.

In these crazy Coronavirus times, it's important that we take care of ourselves (mentally,…read morephysically, and emotionally). Although we can't play social sports for the time-being, we can still go outside for a little R & R. Thanks God for Brickyard Park. This property (which is owned by the Strawberry Rec. Dept.) is a hidden beach, children's playground, picnic ground, all rolled into one. For me and my dog, it's our own private oasis. We'll walk here, sit on a bench, and soak in the sun and serene bayside views. It's a great spot to watch seals playing in the water and paddle boarders doing their thing with glorious Mt. Tam in the background. It's picture perfect. In challenging times like these, beautiful spots like Brickyard Park give me solace and hope. This place doesn't draw tons of visitors, nor does it exist to make money off admission or parking fees. It's just a lovely park whose sole purpose is to bring joy and peace to folks in the area. What's not to love about that? So if you're looking to commune with nature, type Brickyard Park into your GPS and reward yourself with some much needed moments of zen. You'll thank for me it later.

A hidden gem!! This adorable park is basically your own private mini-park with gorgeous water…read moreviews. There are two picnic tables (one shaded), two sets of benches. The playground is well-kept with two slides and a fun boat motif. There are two swings for children under 5. No dogs allowed. There is a surprisingly clean handicap accessible port-o-let (easy for a parent & child to go into together). The only real downside i can see is that the park is open to the waterway, with just a mini stone wall separating the playground with the beach. The kiddos listened and didn't go past the wall... but the wall certainly wouldn't have stopped them. Logistics: when driving to the park, you have to keep your eye out for a small walkway that heads down a cement path to the park. Not a far walk from the car!

Muir Woods is simply a beautiful and awesome place to visit…read more This place is so relaxing, beautiful, and amazing. Your senses will come into play as you will see, feel, smell, and hear nature. You will walk amongst the giant redwood trees and be amazed that the tops of the trees are nowhere to be seen, as they appear to go on forever. Once you leave the 1.5 miles of paved or boardwalked trails, there are several other trails, ranging from casual to more challenging, that guests can experience and explore. The 1.5-mile paved loop trail is great and convenient for those seeking a very nice, casual stroll, including guests who require a wheelchair or a stroller. There are benches throughout the paved trail for those needing a rest, to sit and people-watch, or to enjoy nature. There are large, clean bathrooms both just outside the park and inside. There is a gift shop and snack bar inside the park, with seating and tables available. Reservations for admission are not required, but they do make the entry experience much easier. Reservations for parking ARE MANDATORY! This is very important as you will NOT be allowed to park your vehicle in any of the limited parking areas. There is a shuttle service available that takes you from a huge parking lot (free parking on weekends) miles away and drops you off at the main entrance. This is the way to go, as the total price for this shuttle is $4.00 round trip per person, and reservations are required. This is the shuttle service my family and I used, and it worked out perfectly. Reservations and additional information for the shuttle service and entry into Muir Woods can found and made online at: gomuirwoods.com I hope you all get to visit and experience Muir Woods

I enjoyed seeing the banana slugs along the trail. I came here on a Saturday at noon and spent about 2.5 hours here. It seem to be quite busy when we left. You must have reservations when you visit.
