Great pool and wonderful team that offers excellent classes for kids all ages. Easy access, professional yet casual vibes. We love this place! 5 stars!

I've been to this community center for other events in the evening, such as meetings and fairs. When I received a wedding invitation scheduled for this venue, I seriously didn't know how the community center would host a formal wedding, without the presence and sound of soccer practices outdoors, and the lingering office ambiance indoors. Boy, was I wrong! For one thing, the ambiance for this afternoon wedding was refreshingly different and classy at this familiar community center I know. As the wedding and reception took place beginning at 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon, its many glass doors were pulled open to the slight breeze outdoors. White wooden folding chairs adorned the white linen graced rectangular tables. Natural centerpieces graced each table, and a white pergola stood as a focal point at the head of the ballroom. The afternoon grounds were delightfully empty of sports crowds and families. Furthermore, there was a relaxed and pleasant air of anticipation as the ministers and worship team prepared, as the barista set up in the lobby, and as wedding attendants signed in the guest book at a beautifully decorated mantle table leading to the ballroom. Vintage couches and chairs tastefully sprawled lobby and the ballroom outskirts. I almost didn't recognize this community center as a ethereal wedding venue this day. My goddaughter's first love and wedding to a youth minister was such a touching and wonderful event. During the ceremony, the glass doors were pulled in for formal reverence, and the double doors dramatically closed then opened to the bride's march with her parents. Since the community center was spacious and airy, the venue was versatile for people to hush out with their whimpering babies, slip out for a smoke, or quickly run to the restroom without disturbing the rest of the event. I believe the bride & groom picked the perfect time of day on a slow but breezy Sunday afternoon for their wedding event. Because of all the beautiful elements coming together at the venue, the wedding turned into a splendidly magical and lasting memory.

I first heard of Mill Valley for that is where Muir Woods is & always thought I would head there to experience Muir Woods yet I recently ended up at Mill Valley as I went to the Mill Valley Community Center to see Jai Uttal perform a kirtan. This was the second time I saw Jai Uttal perform kirtan as last month I saw him in San Francisco at a yoga studio w/ a smaller three piece band. This time he had a full seven piece band as they went through many songs off of his new double LP "Roots Rock Rama!" The Mill Valley show & San Francisco one were both wonderful yet different experiences like comparing an acoustic set to an electric one perhaps. Me & my friend arrived right on time a few minutes before the show started. Luckily we were able to find a parking spot as the lot was pretty full. We were able to sit on the floor close the stage. The show featured an opener that looped vocal sound effects live through a recorder & performed through unique songs including one which he called "James Brown meets Jesus Christ". The actual set Jai Uttal & his band did lasted nearly three hours. The venue was pretty packed full. Daniel Paul who was at the San Francisco show was here again & is a master tabla player yet felt the full drum set overpowered the sound of his tabla. As a result he didn't play tabla that much instead played harmonica & sang. There was also another drummer, two female back up vocalists, a bass player, an electric guitar player, & Jai Uttal who did lead vocals along w/ acoustic guitar plus his harmonium. The music was great & the energy was high yet the best thing about the show was many people in the audience got up to dance. Boy could they dance as some of them most have been professional dancers as they had some moves. It felt like I was on the set of a Tracy Ullman episode as the gentleman in front of me casually walked up to the dance floor. He went onto bust out moves like Christopher Walken in Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice music video. There was also a woman who must have been a professional flamenco dancer. Good vibes here & glad I went. I would surely return to the Mill Valley Community Center to attend another kirtan or event. Mill Valley has plenty of greenery w/ lush trees & hills adding to a nice place to escape the hustle bustle of city life in the East Bay.

The woman at the front desk is extremely rude. She was irritated with me for asking her a question and never really answered me completely.

I only come to this one because of the location when I'm visiting family in the Bay Area. When you think of Sausalito, you think upscale, well-managed, personable, and impressionable. Not really the vibe I got at this Anytime Fitness center. You should have stayed closed until everything was cleaned up and ready for a grand re-opening. I came in the other night when it was pouring rain and, to be honest, I wasn't not really impressed with the new set-up compared to what it was before. When I first walked in, I was immediately met with the smell of sweat, some other funky stale odors, and just an overall feeling of cringe and ick. Let's just say I've been to better gyms that actually make a conscious effort to feel welcoming when you "badge in." The storage cubby area for personal items was overflowing with water bottles, sweaters/jackets, workout towels, and clothes balled up in the corner that have just been left there. Primary source of the smell, I think. No accountability, no apparent care for cleanliness. FAIL!!! A side office door with a "Redlight Sauna Therapy" sign next to it was off the hinges with boxes inside, in plain view, that I can only assume were left there from the recent renovation. Floor mats at the front entrance off to the side that weren't laid down and interconnected, just stacked one on top of the other. The color palette is bland and not energetic. Grey and White? Seriously? Stick with the primary brand and accent colors: Blurple, Purple, White, Red/Orange, and Green/Turquoise. You should know this! Where's the "Inspiration Wall Board" for members to write words of motivation for other members? The brick and mortar "Anytime Fitness" logo wall with supplements is also gone/missing. If this was meant to be a soft opening, you missed the mark entirely. I'm not Joey Swoll, but overall, I'd say "you need to do better." So what's changed, positively? There's a new gym set-up/floor plan from when I was here last year, 2024. The spin class / group training studio is no longer there and has been opened up to include 4 new squat racks, a cable pulley machine, and flat bench rack. On the other side, it's still very much the same with the mirrored wall and free weights as well as the purple turf training area with TRX bands and medicine balls. There are two new treadmills, I think. The track mat/belts feel a little flimsy and could use some tightening. The massage chair room is still there. 4 unisex restrooms, only one has a shower. I loved coming here before the renovation, but now, I'm not so sure. You have a lot to improve on and make better in order to make me ever reconsider coming back here.

Diagnosed four years ago, I changed my diet and supplements and stepped up my exercise with walking and hiking. I was determined to turn my bone density around without medication. But two years into it, another DEXA scan and I wasn't doing enough, my osteoporosis got worse. I went to UFIT about 11 months ago, 2x a week, in addition to my walking, hiking, and nutrition refinement. I just got a new bone scan and my bone density is in the osteopenia range, not osteoporosis! This is a big win and I plan to keep progressing. My doctors now say no need for medication now. I highly recommend UFIT's program. Nina is great, as well as the other trainers. Their training is highly specialized, I have looked at other resources. Give Randy a call!

As a younger man, I had always considered resistance training to be more closely related to narcissism rather than overall health. However, that all began to change when my wife started going to Ultimate Fitness in Mill Valley and encouraged by her progress, I decided to give it a try. I had "resisted" at first, feeling that my 20-year yoga practice and two-mile daily walk were sufficient to keep me in shape. However, I am now a true believer in proprietor Randy Green's 30-minute, twice weekly resistance training regimen at Ultimate Fitness on Miller Avenue. With the support and encouragement of Randy and my personal trainer, Victoria, the results speak for themselves. Despite numerous breaks for vacations, COVID-19, various medical setbacks, including the diagnosis and treatment for an extremely rare blood cancer and a total hip replacement, I'm much stronger and healthier at 78 than I was at 69. I'm lifting more than twice what I was on all the 12 resistance exercises I do; for example going from bicep curls with 10-pound dumbbells to 20 pounders. I've gone from weighing 180 pounds on my 6-foot frame to 163 pounds with 18% body fat, and I no longer feel tired all of the time. I can do 20 push-ups but I'm still working on that elusive pull-up; gonna nail that sucker before I turn 80 dag nab it! So if you have been wondering about doing something like this but have been "resistant" yourself, give Randy a call (415-380-8033). I strongly encourage you to give it a try; you won't be disappointed by the results.
