From the moment we stepped on campus I could tell it was going to be a great summer. I wanted to stay and go to camp. My kids had a ball. Everyday was an adventure and they loved the photo slide show at the end of each day. I loved it too as I got to see what they did throughout the day. The best part about Camp Doodles is the Camp Counselors. They are all amazing and seem to truly enjoy the kids and the work they do. My kids were sad when the summer came to an end with it camp. We couldn't wait a whole year to go back and so were thrilled to see they offered Winter Camp Doodles over the school break. My kids slipped right back into the camp routine without skipping a beat. They are signed up again for this summer and keep asking how long until camp starts. As a working mom, it makes me feel good to know my kids are excited about where they will spend their day and I can't wait to hear all the stories each afternoon. I also think it is worth mentioning that Doodles is especially good for the younger campers. I was not worried about my kids getting lost in a crowd of older kids. The campers are put in age appropriate groups and with plenty of activities to choose from within in their age group. Water play day and bicycling days were especially popular with my kids. Both of my children started summer camps there at age 7, and they always request to go back! My kids love the mix of gaming time with outdoor team activities- egg drop, capture the flag, etc... My younger son loves the coding program and is learning so much and he's very proud of what he can create with JavaScript. My older son is neurodivergent and feels totally supported, even when he changes his mind or needs different levels of involvement- the entire Esporterz team is Neuro-affirming and does a great job listening to each of their camper's needs. I always appreciate Nadia's clear communication and quick response time, she's very involved in all the best ways! We are extremely appreciative of the skills they are teaching our kids: it's not just sitting on a gaming screen all day, it's interacting with peers and gaining new skills. I would caution any parent considering this camp. I was asked to pick up a child whom I had never…read morepicked up before, and no one at the camp was familiar with me. When I arrived, I told the director, Tiger/Troy, which child I was there to pick up. Without any hesitation or apparent verification, he summoned the child over the walkie-talkie. He did not ask for my name, check my identification, confirm that I was authorized to pick up the child, or otherwise verify my identity. There was apparently no meaningful attempt to establish that I was the person I claimed to be before releasing a child to me. As a parent, I find this deeply disturbing. Child pickup and release should be one of the most basic and important safety procedures at a summer camp. A stranger should not be able to walk in, name a child, and have that child sent over without any identity or authorization check. What concerns me even more is that this was not a minor administrative oversight--it was a failure of a fundamental child-safety protocol. Parents entrust camps with their children expecting that there are safeguards in place to prevent exactly this kind of situation. I would strongly encourage parents to ask this camp exactly what procedures they have in place for verifying authorized pickups and whether those procedures are actually followed. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable relying on this camp to adequately protect a child during pickup.

Miss Audrey is a gifted caregiver and educator; she has a beautiful understanding of toddlers, and how best to support them as their personalities and preferences start to emerge. She really celebrates and understands all children. We love that her program has different units of focus (sea life was a favorite!) and incorporates Montessori philosophies and "works" into its daily rhythm. It's a wonderful introduction to Montessori principles in practice. We are so grateful to Miss Audrey and she's unique in that she's able to balance effective communication with parents/caregivers while also providing exemplary care. I've been to the one…read morein San Mateo and was invited to kick back and watch as the instructors guided the kids through the 30 min activity. So, when I discovered we had one at the Village in Corte Madera, I immediately booked a 9 year old and 12 year old. We did not get to kick back. The tables were almost all full and our kids walked in excited to get started. Steps 1-2 felt like forever because the kids were decisive and were ready to move on. Nearly every step after that required staff assistance, which just slowed us all the way down, doubling our time here. It's not her fault but didn't meet her expectations. A 30 minute experience ended up taking over an hour due to lack of staff. At the price for two children, I was disappointed because my partner was supposed to kick back and this was my treat to the kids. They had one staff member so we ended up way more involved than we expected - things weren't moving along as expected which really frustrated everyone and made us late to a nearby pool party. Tip: don't call just make an online reservation and be prepared to spend more than 30 minutes here. I called twice ahead to see if we could get in earlier on a Saturday, but got two different answers: "you could try to walk in" and "I don't know keep calling back and ask my boss." The kids had morning sports so we just arrived at our scheduled slot..that's when the sign went up that they were full. I tipped the girl cause it wasn't her fault but they really gotta hire more staff - I know for a fact that we would've had a much more enjoyable experience had staff been more available.
