Esporterz is amazing! The team goes above and beyond in helping younger children learn the basics…read moreand they also encourage more experienced players to reach new goals. Nadia takes special care in where she places children around the room: friends next to each other, kids playing similar games next to each other, coding kids next to each other, etc.. Both of my children started summer camps there at age 7, and they always request to go back! My kids love the mix of gaming time with outdoor team activities- egg drop, capture the flag, etc... My younger son loves the coding program and is learning so much and he's very proud of what he can create with JavaScript. My older son is neurodivergent and feels totally supported, even when he changes his mind or needs different levels of involvement- the entire Esporterz team is Neuro-affirming and does a great job listening to each of their camper's needs. I always appreciate Nadia's clear communication and quick response time, she's very involved in all the best ways! We are extremely appreciative of the skills they are teaching our kids: it's not just sitting on a gaming screen all day, it's interacting with peers and gaining new skills. My kids can't wait to go back!

They somehow manage to wrangle a pack of hyped-up kids, keep everyone happy and make it look effortless. They even put up personalized birthday signs with Harrison's name, which was such a sweet surprise. The parties run smoothly, all the kids have an absolute blast playing the games of their choosing, and parents get a stress-free two hours. Harrison is already campaigning to attend their holiday and summer camps, which tells you everything you need to know. Highly recommend Esporterz!!!

Great experience taking the adult Watercolor 101 class in San Rafael. I decided to take this class…read moreas it has been decades since I did anything remotely fine art related. I thought watercolor would be an easy place to start, but it's actually probably one of the hardest painting mediums (though the easy clean-up does make up for it!). This class taught me the foundation watercolor painting techniques I was looking for to get me started in art again. Hana Buechel was a skilled and engaging instructor. She is friendly, very approachable and encouraging. She is also an exceptional artist. She really helped re-ignite my interest in painting and going to spend the summer putting what she taught me into practice. Hoping to take another class in the fall. Thanks Hana!

The classes she has taken (weekly during the school year) have given her confidence in new painting skills and mediums (oil, etc.). Her instructor, Cody, is phenomenal, providing guidance, asking questions to help students consider their work and approach, and helping develop specific skills (this is not just painting together in a room). She looks forward to art class each week, and we are thrilled each time she brings home a piece. So glad we found this gem of an art school. Thank you!

From the moment we stepped on campus I could tell it was going to be a great summer. I wanted to stay and go to camp. My kids had a ball. Everyday was an adventure and they loved the photo slide show at the end of each day. I loved it too as I got to see what they did throughout the day. The best part about Camp Doodles is the Camp Counselors. They are all amazing and seem to truly enjoy the kids and the work they do. My kids were sad when the summer came to an end with it camp. We couldn't wait a whole year to go back and so were thrilled to see they offered Winter Camp Doodles over the school break. My kids slipped right back into the camp routine without skipping a beat. They are signed up again for this summer and keep asking how long until camp starts. As a working mom, it makes me feel good to know my kids are excited about where they will spend their day and I can't wait to hear all the stories each afternoon. I also think it is worth mentioning that Doodles is especially good for the younger campers. I was not worried about my kids getting lost in a crowd of older kids. The campers are put in age appropriate groups and with plenty of activities to choose from within in their age group. Water play day and bicycling days were especially popular with my kids. Did I mention the camp songs? Good times. We can't say enough about Camp Doodles and look forward to another great summer there. Can you Doodle?

The kind of people that say "hello" in passing, or even stop and talk for a while. And, oh, the flowers! So many beautiful flowers. The roses are in full bloom again, which is delightful! I love that our sweet pup loves to come here to sniff and walk around. She's an older girl now, and as old age issues are coming upon her-each day with her is a gift. Except for my husband, we were all used to walking around the Huntington Gardens and Descandso Gardens in So Cal, which are now much larger and more diverse. Plus, winter is not the best time to visit a garden. That said, we all had a lovely walk. The parking is easy and accessible. The paths are wide and well marked. Dogs are allowed on leash. The gardens are well maintained and the other buildings are well maintained. I realize that there is parking, including handicap parking, by the Barn Theater where Ross Valley Theater has plays. My husband is recovering from extensive open heart surgery with significant complications and he was able to walk all around with us and is encouraged to know that we will be able to go to local live theater. It's a great place to go for ideas, take kids, walk dogs, and unwind. It's free! So you don't have to worry about saving money. Great value.
