Wow!
I brought my child here, ready to try out this new place a few friends were talking about (something about a nicer 'Chuck - ee- cheese" but without the creepy dolls), and I must say, this was an awesome experience!
We went there, and the prices WERE a tad expensive, but then again I learned they were a new establishment owned by a bunch of families. So I mean, support the mom and pop shops.
Didn't bring socks for the kids. I was immediately notified by an EXTREMELY attentive employee in the play place, who was watching all the children and kindly told my child she needed socks. The socks are 2.50 a piece, which was another bite in the wallet, but at least they were conveniently located! Didn't have to leave.
So with socks on, the kids played. I went to order some Pizza (WOW! WOW! WOW! This food is TASTY!) for only 16.00 or so for a 16''. As I watched the kids play, this same staff member was making sure none of the kids were climbing up the slide. She would say "Thank you!" and treat them very kindly. In fact, the same attendant was making sure another child, who was lost, found her parent. She was saying very positive things and even sang about finding her parents when the girl was getting panicky (at this point, I was confused on why this was the only girl working in the play place, or I just saw no one else attending.)
Then my kid accidentally got smacked in the face by a kid's foot according to him. He was very upset and immediately this SAME girl rushed over and kneeled down and was handling the situation as I rushed over. He stopped crying and smiled by the time I got there, and acted as if nothing happened.
I finally got her name. I think it was "Kay", I believe. I do not know if I got that right. but it was a short name. Heavier set girl.
The arcade was pretty useless. I must say. I mean, it's great for the kids. But man, those prizes were bad. But like said, 'Kay' told me the place was only open for a little under a year.
So, in a nutshell, this is what I experienced:
-PRICEY for what you get, but you are supporting a private group.
-Convenient if you need socks and forgot money for tokens.
-Play place was HUGE and exciting! Even adults went in (but I sure as hell didn't go up there!)
-'Kay' was the ONLY attendant that I saw walking the floor, tending to kids, maintaining the play scape like a champ. She was polite to all children and even made a few kids laugh by dancing a bit.
-Arcade was ... okay. Needs more stuff to play in the future. :)
-Food was AWESOME!
-I am definitely coming back.
I do suggest getting more people to work the play place though. As wonderful as this woman was, I dont think one person should be responsible for a hundred kids in a play place. read more
