I love strawberry picking! This farm is so cute and has a lot of strawberries to pick. I went with my mom and we brought our own baskets and they weighed them with nothing in them so they could figure out the weight of the actual strawberries. they have other gorgeous plants you can purchase for your own garden. we bought sunflower plants and they grew beautifully! We made so many delicious and great pastries with our strawberries!!! read more

An instant favorite!! Everything here was SO adorable and just excellent quality. TONS of strawberries almost all of them perfect. We got there shortly after they opened, around 10, and it was not crowded even though there were lots of people. Everyone who worked there (including the jr. staff aka the kids who work there) was awesome. If you're a garden person, they have AMAZING plants and herb/veggie starts. read more

So thankful my sons took me to this fabulous VEGAN FRIENDLY find !! It's wonderful to know a store like this could exist in Caroline County. There's a surprising amount of vegan supplies both foods and hygiene products, and items to meet a range of preferences like organic, conventional, local, imported, fresh, frozen and gluten free. In addition to all that are vitamin supplements, baking needs, canning supplies, flowering plants and seasonal produce. The experience of shopping here today was made especially nice because the woman at the front, Lolo, has an engaging personality and was fun to talk with during check out. Brought my daughter here today to hopefully find some strawberries, we left with almost 12lbs. The person we interacted with was by far amazing. I am from the north so the end of the season here is the beginning there. I look forward to being here much earlier next year, and again around this time if there is still pickings. Came to pick strawberries today, and had such a wonderful experience. Prices are very reasonable, $11 for the vast amount of strawberries (see picture). They also have other fruits like blueberries and blackberries ready to pick yourself in June. The staff were great, all of them kind and welcoming. There is parking on site. There is a green house full of flowers as well. The farm is beautiful. I look forward to returning later in the summer for other items and hopefully in the sun instead of the pouring rain. Gourd-geous fall pumpkins, gourds and mums! Off Route 1, this is a great pit stop to support local farmer's markets! We always come here to see their fruit and veggie offerings and typically leave with a bagful of produce! They also have aisles of spices, canned goods, honey, jams, home goods, décor and more! I've also purchased some lovey, fragrant herbs here! Some of the items are pricey and the staff could be more congenial. Despite those details, I'll still leave this porch front farm on my list of regular stops! read more

I've been a few times to pick strawberries and it's a magical place with a really kind staff. Spent the morning picking the best tasting strawberries and got some goodies from their market as well. I can't wait to come back for blueberries soon! read more

I love this place...fresh veggies, berries, plants. Have been a little disappointed in dry goods. Many very expired items on the shelves. Some have expired over a year ago. It makes me sad as I so badly want to support local businesses. Please do an inventory and dispose of expired items-replace what didn't sell with something else that does. read more

I was there in the later part of fall so there weren't as many fruits and vegetables as there will be next spring and summer, but what was there was fresh, attractive, and tasty. There were bargains to be had! I was staying in a hotel so did not try the meats available but from other customers it all sounded great. Other than meats and produce, there were so many organic and earth friendly products that I'd never seen before, it was rather educational. And I can't leave out the homemade nut butters, jams & jellies, candies and baked goods. AND the young women running the store were kind and patient, conversing with this old woman and letting her go on and on - thank goodness I went when the customer traffic was fairly light. I am most definitely looking forward to my next visit!! read more

PYO blueberries! We came during the July 4th weekend which had shorter hours but the employee still guaranteed us that there were still plenty of blueberries to pick from. There is a small storefront near the parking lot area that carried a variety of produce like cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, and zucchini and as far as fruits go I saw a small selection of cantaloupes and watermelons in addition to their already packaged blueberry containers. They also sold locally made chips, honey, ice-cream and even milk and yogurt from a nearby farm which was pretty cool. You have to walk a little bit up the slight gravel hill and then you will encounter two very long rows of blueberry bushes. There were still plenty to pick from but there were a couple of bushes that weren't just ripe yet. The blueberries here are a little sweet and tart and vary between small and large, averaging out to be a decent size/selection. We gathered more than 4 lbs for blueberries and costing $4 per lb. The downside to this location is the amount of flying bugs/insects that were present which were quite a few of them... I understand they don't use pesticides but if you're sensitive to flying bugs, which I am... A lot.. then you may want to wear some repellent of some sort. This area was a little out of the way from Richmond and I think I may stick to Gallmeyer farms for my next fruit picking needs. read more

Pick your own berries! That's what brought us to Mount Olympus Berry Farm this afternoon. It's been a while since I've picked berries and for some reason I was just itching to do so. After a quick search, I found that Mount Olympus was the closest place that was open today, so off we went! I wasn't sure what to expect, but once we turned off of Route 1 and approached the farm, it was super cute! It's not huge, and the berry picking area wasn't as large as others I've experienced, but the farm boasts a greenhouse, lots of gardens and a small lake. Upon parking and walking inside the main shop area, we were greeted by an extremely friendly woman who told us blackberries are the in-season fruit (but she did warn us that picking is a little slow at the moment) and she fixed us up with buckets. The bf and I each took one (unbeknownst to him, I wanted to see who would pick the most berries) and headed down to the blackberries. We probably picked for a little under an hour, and we definitely had to scour the canes for ripe berries, so I appreciate the warning we were given! Although an abundance of ripe berries would have been awesome, I actually think the challenge made it a little more fun! And there were plenty of berries, don't get me wrong, they just weren't as obvious since they weren't at the peak of their ripeness. We still took home a good amount of blackberries (I lost the competition, by the way, but not by too much!) that completely filled a fairly large plastic container. We'll certainly be eating them for a little while in our house. And now I have to look for something to make with them... anyone have any yummy blackberry recipes? ;) We also wound up with a few peaches, potatoes and tomatoes from the farm's shop. The produce selection wasn't overwhelming, but the variety of options was pretty wide. They had everything from eggplant to ghost peppers to watermelon. I love locally grown produce, so our purchases are a welcome addition to our kitchen inventory! Next spring I look forward to picking strawberries and blueberries, but I'm sure I'll be visiting Mount Olympus for some fresh produce before then. read more

It's so nice to have a local farm stand to get fresh fruits and veggies. Mount Olympus has a great selection of fruits, veggies and flowers and I like being able to support local farmers. They have pick your own berries during the summer and a little lake that you can picnic by. My only complaint is that they need to do something about the fruit flies in the store part. They have fruits and veggies for sale in there and they are always covered in flies - yuck. read more

I love this little farm, pumpkin and berry picking is so much fun. I wish they were open all year round!
