How do you like them apples?? Very much indeed! This smaller orchard was just peachy!! It featured a cool LOVE sign and an activity/game area for families! If you feel like picking your own fruit, the cozy orchards are perfect - but I (feeling lazy) just bought mine in the barn store! There were so many varieties of apples, and I also picked up some apple cider donuts, cider, baked goods as well as greeting cards, jams and pumpkins! The aesthetic was a cool vibe and all the displays were beautiful! There were some picnic tables and a gazebo and plenty of parking. The restroom is across from the parking lot and was pretty clean!! A delightful little country store with a very friendly staff. Several apple varietals that I wasn't familiar with so I loved the descriptions. Apple cider donuts along with other sweet treats. Cute gifts along with meats, vegetables, honey, cheese, etc. Lots of choices and worth a stop. They had a cute little pumpkin patch for the kids and some beautiful sunflowers. I was really excited about the donuts, but unfortunately they were not very good. Dry with very little sugar. read more

I was looking for a cute little orchard that was not too far from me and I found this one. It's not a big orchard but big enough. I bought huge, delicious peaches, freestone I believe and golden delicious and crimson crisp. They also sell local beef, honey, salsas,etc. Homemade cider, donuts too. They have beautiful flowers and nice picnic tables to sit at. read more

Always a good stop. You can pick your own peaches and apples. They have a small shop with local honeys, candles, ciders, snacks, etc., as well as some outdoor seating areas. We picked our Christmas tree here last winter too. The employees have always been friendly. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Awesome smaller orchard that we went to when a bigger one nearby was sold out of tickets for the day. No tickets required, just pay for what you pick! They didn't have a TON of apples on the trees (I assume the recent rain has knocked quite a few down) but they were very nice and friendly. They even had a fall obstacle course set up for the kiddos. We've been coming here since they very first opened, many years ago. It is a wonderful place with delicious apples and peaches that we can pick ourselves or we can purchase the pre-picked ones in the little market cabin. They also offer delicious fresh vegetables - green beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, several varieties of squash, onions, peppers, etc. Their apple cider is wonderful and their blackberry cider is sublime, as is their cherry cider! There is also a section of local honeys, chutneys, jams, candles, etc on offer. They create a fun little pumpkin patch and sell pumpkins October. They have several little areas that are meant to be "photo ops" although the entire orchard is gorgeous and could be the background or main focus of any photo. There are games set out to be enjoyed, tabletop checkers, bean bag toss, etc. They are open in the late summer/fall season and again for the Christmas season with Santa stopping by one evening to say "Merry Christmas!", listen to your Christmas wishes and pose for photos with your little ones (or you!). The family that owns the orchard and all of their staff are friendly, helpful, and very efficient. As I have aged and begun to struggle to get around, they have increased the amount of assistance they offer me, now helping me shop and carrying my purchases out to my car for me. It has been fun and gratifying to watch them as they have grown over the years! We highly recommend Fruit Hill Orchard and hope they will remain a thriving business in our community for many, many years to come. read more

Quaint cute place. The country store and LOVE sign made it worth the hour drive, You will not get a pic of the mountains in background at this orchard. Still many good photo opportunities within the giant Zinnia gardens, pumpkin patch, and fall decorated country store. It's mid October and all of the "Pick your own" are gone, zilch, nada. The staff was nice, no entry free, very laid back. We are glad we made the trip, something new. read more

Disappointed, apple picking is expected to be pricey- you pay for the experience and family bonding...but to charge $10.99 for a small bag and $6.99 for the same bag inside the market...not to mention there was no experience in actually picking apples from the tree. We asked and it supposedly came from their "other" orchard and everything from the trees now have been picked off by now bc the season is coming to an end...that's a little hard to believe considering we typically go apple picking in early November and haven't run into this problem....but it doesn't end there unfortunately apple cider donuts we're cold, didn't taste fresh and reminded me of store bought donuts. They were cheaper individually at 1.49 and a packet of 6 was 9.45...but again, the individually which I grabbed thinking were warm were cold, the little oven they were in wasn't even warm. It was just a sad experience...and to make things better they made us take our toddlers tiny backpack (that was already full with diapers and snacks for him) back in the car because too much theft of apples...which is reasonable rule except 1- it's tiny and full of diapers and a few snacks for my kid. 2- we saw other ppl with bigger (still small) bags and purses....so apply the rule to everybody or deal with the theft considering everything is already over priced as there is no experience to pay for apples from a box. read more

I love it. The groceries I get: apple crisp ground coffee, red tomatoes, yellow freestone peaches, zucchini, homemade bread, apple butter, apples. The people I see: family, neighbors, coworkers. You're likely to come across someone you know, but definitely people you'd like to know. Everyone's friendly and glad to see you. The location: center of the County, near HS, library, and between two great places to grab a meal (EW's fried chicken and Golden China), ...and just not having to leave the county to spend time with family- priceless. read more

This place is a gem! Perfect for a fall outing. The small shop has many varieties of local and varietal apples, pumpkins, and some fruit and veg for sale. Call ahead to order what my friend tells me are delicious apple pies, they had pumpkin pies too while I was there, and pressed apple cider (cold in fridge). There's a corn hole game set up in front and a porch with rocking chairs. Very charming spot. I bought a pumpkin, it was 59 cents/pound. They also had a lot of local jams, apple butter, etc for sale. read more
