    Apple trees marker 5

Love this Orchard! Super accessible for people with disabilities, injured, people with wagons or children. You are able to drive right up to the orchards and you are able to choose from multiple locations I think 1-14 or more fields! The tree types for Apples were marked with colors on the tree's. I do wish they had more signs or printed the colors on the picking bags. They offer the patrons use of picking extender (communal) which is a large stick with a basket and rack at the top so you can reach those high up apples without climbing the trees. There was enough for one person in our group to grab one at field 6. This orchard is beautiful, spacious, great for social distancing and not crowded when you get into apple rows. It was super coinvent for our group of girls that had small little ones and older individuals with us. We didn't have to hike up a ridiculous hill and the footing in the rows was flat terrain and easy to walk. I made german apple cake for neighbors and applesauce for the kids with our apples! I would highly recommend Hartland Orchard!

What can I say??? They got their ish together. This is our go-to orchard...the only large one in the area. They have various produce including apples, peaches, corn, honey, pumpkin, berries, Christmas trees, etc. Everything is available based on the season. We visit the orchard mostly for the apples and peaches. Occasionally, we will pick up some honey or corn. Their system is very effective and simple: customers receive the requested number of bags and they are off on their own to pick fruits. The staff is super friendly, always happy. They are also very quick in adding up everything (I personally would need a calculator or additional 10 minutes!). There aren't any bathrooms, but there is a porta-potty, which is pretty decent and has tissue paper. Make sure you stop by one of the fast food places to empty your bladder if you want to avoid using this. Also bring wipes/hand sanitizer. Parking is first-come first-served basis. It is definitely better to come in the morning...even though I've never been in the evening.

First off, their Facebook says they are doing "pick your own apples", but when we drove the 2 hours out there (with a 6mo and 3yr old) they weren't. Their actual website also says they are doing PYO apples, but when you look closely, it states that the orchard is closed during the weekends. We did get to pick out pumpkins in their pumpkin patch, which was the only good part about the trip- but then had to wait in line for 30min to checkout. It was our first time to Hartland (since Stribling is closed this year) and the signage was not helpful. We drove to a different "gate" for apples and food, just to find out that we needed to drive back to the fist "gate". When we did, the line for lunch and donuts was even longer than the pumpkin line! At least a 45min wait, so we decided just to drive home. Overall, we were super disappointed with the visit. We wouldn't have made the drive if we had known we couldn't pick our own apples, and when we tried to "salvage" the trip, the lines for food and checkout were absurd. Not sure we will return to this particular orchard. 2020 sucks.

Great orchard! Went apple picking with family, and it was $20/bag of apples. Apple picking poles were provided, and there were so many trees all full of delicious apples. Lots of varieties to choose from including Fuji, golden delicious and red delicious when we went. When we got home we weighed our bag and it was a whooping 28 pounds, so it came out to less than $1/pound for apples. A great deal. The farm itself was stunning and it would be a great idea to come to visit, bring camping chairs and hang out picking apples and enjoying the view all day. Fantastic farm and will definitely be returning.

Stay away from walking on this road near the apples. This is where I sprained my ankle and tore open my knee.

This is a nice orchard with a lovely selection of quality fruits and veggies. But, watch where you walk -- I was walking down an unfinished road, fell on an unseen, uneven edge, sprained my ankle (not kidding, in emergency care as I type this), and cut the HELL out of my knee. They aren't liable for injuries suffered on the property so BE CAREFUL.

Came here mid September to pick some apples. I'm not sure if it was just me, but we could only find 3-4 types of apples, though there were so many more listed. We could only find and pick granny smith, golden delicious, greening, and red delicious (which are not delicious...). I wish they had a basic map or explained the different parts of the orchard we could go to. Picking was fun, but only really possible if you nabbed one of those apple picking poles. There were plenty of apples on the trees when I went, so of the limited choices of apples, we picked a bunch. Granny smith is great for baking, so I made tons of apple related desserts after this trip. And I snacked on a bunch of golden delicious for the following week. Parking was a bit confusing, we drove on gravel and dirt around the orchards until we found a spot on the hill. I wish it were more clear where we should go. Also, leaving and paying took forever. You pay on the way out when you're in the car. There's a check point type of place where they see your bags and tell you how much it is. The good thing is that it's by the bag so if you want a ton, fill the bag as much as you can and it'll be the same price. If you don't fill it all the way, they're nice and won't charge you for the whole bag. The scenery was pretty and we also enjoyed playing on the hay stacks a few gates down from the apple orchard. All in all I enjoyed my experience at Hartland Orchard, I just wish it were more helpful in helping with parking, showing us where to pick, and more efficient on the route out/paying for the apples.

This was a great place to go peach picking! The peaches tasted fantastic and very sweet. The area was large enough that you can have fun exploring. The people at the stand were also very nice and gave advice on where to go and how to get the best ones. We also bought their honey which tasted awesome!! When I went it was 12 per peck for peaches and 6 per peck for apples. My family bought 2 pecks. We stuffed that bag until it was bursting! May want to bring insect repellant and allergy meds. The little kids in the family had some problems. But it shouldn't be a problem if your prepared though.

Green Truck Farm did not disappoint! We were greeted by rows and rows of black raspberries, which I had never experienced before, but taste like a more flavor-packed version of raspberries. After we had our fill of black raspberries, we walked over to the blueberries and picked our hearts out. Advice: -Black raspberries tend to sell out first so start there if you're planning to pick at both places. -Subscribe to Green Truck Farm on Facebook for the latest updates about ripeness. -Visit their cousins down the road at Hartland Orchard for other fruit (cherries, peaches, apples).

We went the last week of May and there were still hundreds of strawberries to pick from! When you first enter the orchard/farm they give you a box that contains 6 of the strawberry holders. When we went in May 2021, they were around $4.99/lb. You have rows and rows of strawberries to pick from that are spread out nicely enough that it was easy to avoid people who didn't wear masks. The process was easy and the strawberries were delicious! My family and I demolished 6 boxes in less than a week.
