I always call in an order so my pie is hot and fresh when I pickup. There are also pies on the counter for sale but if you want a specific guaranteed flavor just phone in your order. The blueberry crumb pie is so delicious, the crumbs are sweet with a KH or crunch. The blueberries ooze with blueberries. I also picked up some Nalls cookies. A packet of 5-6 cookies for $4.99 and they are soft and fresh. There's also a section of fresh produce. Staff is always friendly and patient. Parking is right in front. They are located right off Harry Byrd hwy.

The toilets also need to be disinfected or replaced with new ones because it looks old inside it. When we asked the host where the line was, she just kept laughing and repeating "it's right there," even though there were multiple lines and it was unclear where to go. The whole interaction felt dismissive and disrespectful. It's really disappointing to see how the atmosphere has changed -- it no longer feels welcoming, especially toward Hispanic customers. I speak perfect English and was born here, but the attitude I experienced made me feel unwelcome. I won't be coming back.

The hours at this store are impressive - 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. The owners are definitely hard workers! I didn't meet Janet but Roy was to the point when I asked questions. A bushel is $36, and a half bushel is $18. A half bushel bag is a lot smaller than the box that they call a bushel, so we decided to buy a bushel. You can fill the box up with whichever apples you want. They have a big selection of apples, including some I'd never heard of (eg, Virginia Gold). Roy was attentive and told me when the box was full and that I should stop adding apples. It wasn't quite all the way to the top, but it was still a good deal. If I'm in the area, I'll probably stop by again!

We went here on an early November Saturday afternoon to pick apples! As you drive down the gravel…read moreroad towards the orchard you pass by a sign that reads "these trees of righteousness are watched over by angels" followed by a cross. So, at first we were a bit hesitant about what we were getting ourselves into. Turns out, the couple that owns the orchard are extremely nice. They took the time to explain what all the different kinds of apples were and also gave us apple picking sticks so that we could get the apples way up top. Even though we came to the orchard kind of late in the season, we were still able to pick 2 full bushels of apples. You can't really beat $13/bushel! Each bushel must have weighed about 40 pounds. When we went back to the house to return the tools, the couple also offered us apple butter and homemade apple cider! So far at home, I've been able to make apple crisp, apple pie, and apple muffins with still tons of apples left over. Hope they don't go bad! Tip: The entrance to the orchard where you pick up the boxes/tools is on the left. You basically drive right up the owner's driveway to their house. Don't be afraid to knock. They're very nice! Also, I don't believe they have call waiting, so if you try calling, you might get a busy signal.

After handing you apple pickers and a LARGE box for you to fill, he ushers you off with encouragement to sample anything and everything. Organic, natural, farm fresh means not looking grocery store shinny and clean. We were informed, but had no idea that it really is just dirt and dust washed off. Regret that as it cost us having more of our favorites! Once washed at home, they were more beautiful and the flavor was 10x that of store bought. They were the best apples we have had in years! Top anything from the local farmers markets. Make a day of it! Take friends, family, and the kids. Pack a picnic. Bring some soapy water and paper towels for immediate enjoyment!
