One that I want to highlight and isn't on Yelp by itself unfortunately is Sweet Jane's Kitchen Maryland Style Crab Cakes. They don't have a brick and mortar but she is always there every Saturday the Market is open from 9am-1pm. Since moving from FL I have never had a single good crab cake in all of VA...UNTIL I tried Jane's crab cakes. They are all of what a good crab cake has to offer: A large thick patty mostly consisting of super fresh crab and garnished with delicious spices and only small amount of filler. Their homemade sauce is perfectly zesty and pairs well with the crab cake and bun; I always get extra. To top it off the owner is always very kind and runs it with her family. Other than this one there is a flower shop that carries my favorite celosia flowers and my favorite caromont farm goat cheese. They have a wonderful variety of other unique shops and delicious food vendors to try. I highly recommend Jane's crabcakes and the Charlottesville City Market in general, so much that I am willing to travel almost 2 hours to get there. I do recommend stopping by when you again, if for nothing else than a quick walk through. They had fresh pastry stalls and produce stalls. There is a small parking lot next to the lot where market is held. There's also a parking lot across the street you can use for the market.

I bought popcorn on the way in, and it was indeed good. Very clean, and alot of shops to wander around in. I went straight into the quilt shop and bought some beautiful material. I plan on making some pillows in the near future. Wow the quilting shop was one for the books, I could have stayed in there for hrs. So many crafting ideas and nice material. They ladies do offer classes, or can tell you who does in the area. They have antique shops, puzzle store, cook ware, toy store, decor and food for purchase. Im sure I missed a few things. This is a must stop if your in the area. All the shops seemed amazing and reasonable priced. Lots of parking, and everyone was welcoming. I met a few fellow antique collectors along the way.
