They never skimp on the massage in the pedi either, which so many salons do, and my nails always last at least three weeks, if not longer. I went this afternoon to remove my acrylic nails. I am currently in so much pain, I need to take ibuprofen. The technician literally peeled off every nail, and my pinky is bleeding because she basically ripped my real nail off. Half of the acrylic on one finger is still on because it hurt so bad, I told her to leave it. I asked her if there was an option to soak and she told me that the process takes too long. I'm not sure why peeling it off manually was better... I can barely wash my hands. If anything touches my nail, I'm wincing in pain. I'm really traumatized from the experience. Writing a review because I don't want anyone to experience this. I'm going to report it to the Better Business Bureau because I really think this is malpractice. read more

Nail salons are a critical part of the self-care routine of any human. :) this place is just that: critical! My family and I have been going for years. They take care of my mother, myself and my daughter all with equal attention and detailed, thoughtful work. When I was injured and couldn't get up in the pedicure chair, they still found a way to help keep my feet in good shape. They do walk-ins and have a number of nice comfortable massage chairs (the best part of a pedicure, right?) They're right next door to a pleasant coffee shop and there is a ton of parking! The staff are very nice and friendly, and the place is clean. I wanted a pedicure and added a manicure. The manicure was done well, which is why I gave 3 stars. The pedicure, however wasn't. A basic pedicure ($30) doesn't include exfoliation/pumice stone: it's $40 for a pedicure that includes pumice stone. It also doesn't include smoothing small toe/corns, or any smoothing at all. I personally don't care about the "massage" part (I'd rather have that time used on pumicing my feet smooth), but lots of time was spent rubbing a copious amount of lotion on my legs (no foot massage- just leg rubbing). Don't get me wrong- the technician worked hard on that- the skin on my legs was really warm and the tech worked up a sweat. It was just ineffective and unnecessary- kind of a waste of her energy. If that time wasn't going to be used making my feet smooth, then it could have been used on massaging/loosening up the muscles in my feet- you know? The back of my legs were left greasy and I had to wipe it off before getting into my car. The part that's prompting this review, however is the nail polish application. The pedicurist applied very thick coats of polish, and didn't allow drying time in between- which resulted in a thick and unprofessional looking chunk of polish that will probably peel off. She didn't allow the base coat to set or dry, or any of the coats of polish. There are air bubbles on some of my nails. I asked her to fix a big toe where could see the brushstroke lines on the side of my toe. She first attempted to fix it with MORE polish, which created another brush stroke line. Finally she removed it and reapplied the polish. We both missed that there wasn't enough paper to separate my toes, and (on my BAREFOOT WALK ACROSS THE FLOOR - yuck) the toe polish was smeared. She tried to fix it with heavy coats of polish- and I almost let it go- but asked her to fix it (I took a close up picture to show how bad it was). She wasn't happy about it (that's okay) but she removed and reapplied the polish (and tried to skip the base coat) without having an attitude. At this point I was in the salon for 2 hours, watching other patrons get much better pedicures - and leaving in a reasonable amount of time (because their polish was dry and professionally done). It's hard watching others get good and professional service while I'm having to ask for mediocre service just so I can leave. After another half hour of my nails still being wet, I gave up (I'm going to have to remove it all and reapply on my own anyway) paid and left. The pedicurist who was doing a good job on her patrons asked me if I wanted flip flops and seemed concerned about my polish (the pedicurist who had me walk across the floor barefoot wasn't concerned). But at that point, my happy excitement for treating myself was fading and I just wanted to leave and stop wasting my time. I shouldn't have tipped (I only gave a 5% tip) but I tipped because it's a very hot day (90 degrees) and she didn't blame my toe or get an attitude. I tipped the manicurist 22%. I even quietly told the manicurist (because she was processing my transaction) that - everyone is so nice, and I appreciate the service, but that my pedicurist needs to be trained on how to apply polish. She was super condescending; I got the all in one breath: ("OkayThankYouByeHaveAGoodDayBye!") . So I told the pedicurist who had happy patrons the same thing. She did the 'thankyoubye' thing too. So I wasted $68 which is a big deal to me and Easter 2.5 hours of my time which is also a big deal to me( I don't usually have much free time. I could have been doing something else much more useful- time matters too). While I was watching my bad nail polish application not dry, I remembered that I'd been there once before and had a pedicure so poorly done, that I went somewhere else the next day (because I wanted my feet to look nice for an occasion). So - even though they're nice, nice isn't a substitute for competence. If you go, the first chair pedicurist is (as usual) your best bet. read more

I have come here for pedicures several times now, and each time I leave disappointed. Staff is not very friendly. Equipment seems old and outdated. Small & limited polish selection. They don't play music or tv so it's awkwardly quiet. Bright white lights make for an unrelaxing vibe. One time I was left with the worst polish job I've ever experienced. Also they didn't offer me the disposable flip flops so I had to put my freshly painted toes in my crocs. The plus side includes- -decent massage -several pedicure packages at different price points -great location with lots of parking -reasonable prices I only come here because it's close to where my kid practices soccer so it's a way to kill some time every now and then. If you're desperate enough like me and you're short on time, it'll do. If you do come, I suggest bringing some ear buds so you can enjoy some music or a podcast while you get your service. read more

I was referred her by my sister, and started going for Pedis for about 1 year. Muoi would do my Pedi's, she is sweet, quiet and always did a great job. I then gradually started getting manicures too. I stopped going about 4 months ago after I developed fungus on my toe, it was slightly green and then eventually the toenail fell all the way off. I wasn't sure if it was going to grow back, fortunately it did, nevertheless I was VERY upset and needless to say had to stop going since I have NEVER had fungus on my toes or nails and I had NOT went to any other shop. I figured I should update my review since it's been a while and I'm waiting anyway -- for my appointment that was scheduled 40 minutes ago. Lol! Snow is my favorite and I always request her but she's consistently awfully late on her appointments. She's just always in demand or maybe they hate me and just want me to wait. That's just a fact that you might have to accept if you want to come to this spot. Other than failing to keep appointment times, the ladies are friendly, they massage really well (and pretty long), a little more expensive than other nail salons but the place is clean so I don't mind paying more. 3 stars. I hate leaving bad reviews. So I'll post my recommendations to get this place poppin': - use the jets on the pedi chairs. I can soak my feet at home in a bucket and save myself the $40 - play some music/TV. That will help if you refuse to have any interaction/conversation with the customer. And makes more of an ambiance instead of the awkward silence. - have some more updated color samples. I'm glad I brought my own gel from home this time. - don't rush through a pedi. We are paying for the experience, not to be stabbed by your nails/tools. - if you're a cash only establishment, have some damn signs! Overall my toes came out ok, no scrub or lotion on my feet tho. After 2 days my nails look worse than they did before I got them done. It's unacceptable to have a gel manicure peel and chip two days after. The nail technicians kept taking walk ins although other people had scheduled appointments. The result was people with appointments waiting and the nail technicians rushing and doing a piss poor job (at least on me). I decided not to return to have them fix their work. my last 2 visits I noticed there have been different nail techs. looks like ownership changed hands and the quality is sorely lacking. They don't understand English for one. this morning the tech I got put me in a broken massage chair, didn't let me soak long enough to soften my toenails so when she trimmed them, IT HURT! It always seems rushed and the past two times I have been cut on my cuticle and one of those times I was asked to pay before my nails had even been painted.... I like this place. Everyone is nice and polite and they do a good job. Cindy gave me a good pedicure. She did all the things I asked for no complaints and with a very nice attitude. She also gave me an extra long excellent massage! It was delicious! It was the first time in a long time I actually enjoyed and relaxed during a pedicure. I stopped by this place as its close to our new house and was relatively empty and clean. If you want to pay $50 for a 20-minute pedicure where everything is rushed and you are literally herded out with no proper attention to anything this is the place for you. 1 min soak, 2 min massage and maybe some cleaning, and you are done. No wonder they are empty as they don't spend any time on their customers and literally rush through a pedicure to get as many clients a day. Not a relaxing salon experience at all!! She rushed through my daughters pedicure (it lasted a total of about 5 minutes). Her massage consisted of 2 movements repeated over and over till it almost hurt. They dipped my hand in plain water for my manicure which no cuticle softener and used a hand drill to clean my cuticles. The service was all right.. I got a mani pedi for $30 (plus $3 for French tips), so $33 total.. The initial work was great.. But after 1 day Ive discovered that my French tips were cracking.. When my French tips were getting done, I noticed that the nail polish was bad quality so I asked for a white polish from a different bottle but the girl obviously lied and said that that's the only white nail polish in the salon (ONLY 1 BOTTLE OF WHITE POLISH IN THE SALON???) That's definitely NOT possible. Her handiwork was great and the lines were very clean, but after one day the white part started to crack and chip. AFTER ONE DAY. not only that, but the pink fillers she polished me with started to chip after 2 days. I gave her a hefty tip because I was happy with the initial work, but needless to say, I'm probably not going to come back here. I got it done on thursday morning, and already all 10 white parts show severe cracks and some of the edges are already chipping off. I would understand if this happened after I did housework or dishes, but that wasn't the case. I went to vegas for vacation and the most work i did with my fingers was to hit or stay on blackjack. I have been accidentally cut once before but who hasn't and I've definitely had way worse treatments. My experience today was absolutely HORRIBLE I will never be back to this place ever. I broke a nail and wanted to give my nails a break. I had come in for a lip wax and nail removal. When I CLEARLY asked the lady to remove my nails and she only removed the polish she then said she didn't want to remove my nails and made me leave the shop. I was a little hesitant when I first walked in.. There are about 5 ladies but there was only 1 license posted on the wall (I look for things like that). The ladies all seemed to know what they were doing and they looked like they actually enjoy their work, which is nice for the customer. They are very adamant about making sure you are happy with your nails. After my nails were finished, the lady massaged my arms and hands with lotion and the put a warm wash cloth - it was very relaxing! Overall the place is nice. It is not a luxurious spa or anything but the pedicure chairs are new and very comfy, the nail stations are also nice with plush leather chairs, and the they do a great job of making sure the place stays CLEAN!
