I've followed Gigi to a few different locations because she is very sweet and personable and takes her time to give a quality mani and pedi. You get to choose your V'oesh 4 step pedi "treatment" which consists of a salt soak, sugar scrub, mud mask and a moisturizing body butter. Legs are wrapped with a warm towel, followed by a nice calf massage. OPI polishes (gel and regular) are used exclusively. The space itself is exceptionally clean, well appointed and tastefully done. She was able to get me in quickly and was very responsive. I asked for a white French tip acrylic set. Due to everyone's wonderful reviews, I thought I would try Gigi. I made an appointment for dip nails the day before my trip overseas. I thought it was odd that she used gel nail polish over the base dip powder... Maybe they don't have dip powder polish. I didn't think much of it. I had to pay a premium (more than my usual go to spot), so I figured my nails would last longer. Boy was I wrong! They began to chip after 4 days. All of them chipped after a week and a half! I'm sad to post this review. Gigi was a very sweet person. She did the first dip set of nails on me. I liked it. Unfortunately, I have to report that there is one step of her process that is bad. After she dipped my nails in the powder, she returned the unused powder back to her stock. This means it's contaminated. I don't know how many people had dipped their fingernails into the same powder as I did, but I do know that a few days after I got my nails done, I had my first fingernail fungal infection. I don't know that the dip is where the infection occurred. However, I did call Gigi after I went to the doctor (my luck, fungal infection turned to cellulitis) and her response was to ask if I could show her. I called as a courtesy to say "hey, make sure the powder used on me is thrown out!", but I was really saying "please don't cross contaminate powder!". I was underwhelmed by her reaction. I hope the message gets through. *** I appreciate that there was a written response to my review. I am certain that they are trying to keep everything clean. I did however research how dip nails should be done to prevent infections. There is a lot of information out there. It seems that what is being taught is that powder should not be reused. It is advised that any powder that touches a clients skin be thrown away. Powder quite a different material than nail polish or gel - and it not being applied directly to a fingernail. read more

This is rude and unacceptable, they still had enough time to accommodate a customer if not at least the next day. But nothing was done, but instead you get an open door to rudeness and zero service!
